Share your top of the list most effective method for 'not believing the mind' (I believe) this is one of the most important Spiritual rituals to master, and yet one of the hardest tools to master. What worked best for you? How exactly did you do it?

@Matt23 How do you do this if not WITH the mind? More ideas and concepts. Thats why this is SO hard. (for me)

A question i have bin debating for some time. It might come across defensive for some people. Please don't let your feelings distort the question & answer, and really think about it. Are enlightened people just self-hypnotizing? Or, this thing is REAL and there is an awakening to get to, and is NOT coming from a place of hypnotizing the mind into a believe. Note. Its very easy to self hypnotize if we sit and contemplate every single day into "Who am i?" "What am i?" and so on. If we do this and the rest of Spiritual techniques day in day out, it can become a form of hypnosis and simply changing our brains to think in a Non-dual way. Which one is it, and how can we know for sure? (i know some will say well, just try it out and tell me what you see... but how do i know even after trying it out that i'm not simply not hypnotizing my brain into believing it?)

@Nahm Skydiving is physical. We are dealing with the brain. its much easier to hypnotize. Thoughts?

Enlightenment has 2 parts. 1 - Understanding reality (non duality, oneness, wholeness, most of what Leo is talking) 2 - Ego dissolving. As long as this 2 are not completed we ain’t Enlightened. Yes, we might be an Enlightened Ego jerk. But we ain’t fully God if we’re an as-wholes. (we might be god as an a-whole but good luck with that) God is truly good with a capital G as Leo would say. And no, we can’t use ‘but everything is one’ or ‘there is no one here’ or ‘there’s no such thing as bad’ as an excuse to be a jerk. That’s the hardest part of Spiritual work, crushing the Ego! Everyone can learn how reality works and train the brain to see metaphysical, no big deal. But purifying our self and getting out of our Ego mind is where the rubber hits the road. Thats where the hard work really begins. I’m not saying understanding how the universe works is not important for Spiritual work, of curse it is. But it is equally important to dissolve our Egos. We can’t have one without the other. We see lots of people that where naturally born with very soft egos but have no understanding on the bigger cosmic of reality, so we might say those people are 50% enlightened in a sense? And yet we see people with a very clear understanding of Reality, and even mystics in a sense, but cary with them discussing inflated narcissistic egos and we might say those people are 50% Enlightened in a sense? But again we ain’t fully Enlightened until we become completely God like (for lack of a better word - God it self) And it has no limit whatsoever, that’s the true nature of God and Reality, It’s infinite how pure we can get. The more we dissolve Ego the more God we become. We don’t become God by understanding how he works, he knows that;) he (or you) were the one who created it! We become God by getting out of our illusion of self, illusion of separation and mind. By realizing how everything is connected and is ONE. Love.

@The0Self Or the other way around? Reality is reality. Enlightenment is hypnotized?

@erik8lrl You know you can ONLY get hypnotized if you give your self permission to believe in the hypnoses. why would that be any deferent?

@4201 So the only way to know is to stop believing even in Enlightenment. Ha?

@Leo Gura So keep hypnotizing until i get fully hypnotized? I just want to understand, i know deep down that i might be wrong, thats why i want to get to the bottom of it so i can move on.

@erik8lrl Yea, keep hypnotizing your self. eventually you will be fully hypnotized (Enlightened) (i'm using it as a metaphor to express my self, again i'm fully into spirituality)

@4201 Why cant you self hypnotize into stop believing thoughts?

@The0Self You can delude yourself into nothingness. Might take some discipline, but i don't see why its not possible. And hurray! i'm Enlightened.

@Leo Gura Yes i have bin on Psychedelics many times. i still don't have a firm answer. Yes one side i felt there's much more to what we know, see and live. But again in reality i'm still left with my question.

@The0Self Stoping to believe in something can also and must also come as a from of self hypnosis. No different if you stop believing in X and start believing in Y or vis versa. Im looking for the TRUTH. Thats all.

@Leo Gura What IS Self hypnosis if not that? Its very easy to dismiss it and say No. In fact thats what i have bin doing for about 2 years. I just want to understand. Not trying to debunk the concept. I am deeply invested into Spiritual work. Doing all the work needed. I just want to have an answer for the Question. Its bin setting on my head for a while.
