  1. @NoOne Spare them and yourself the trouble. They will become curious about it once they see the positive impact it has on your life but let them take that initiative.
  2. Thank you for sharing your story. We are here to support you and answer any question that arises about your awakening.
  3. Good. You've figured it out.. There is no knowing. There is only knowing of not knowing (and thats not true either). No words are true, at best they point to truth. So express that which want to express itself. From that place which feels true. The place that "you" want to wall in, hide.
  4. Good one ☺@Sri McDonald Trump Maharaj
  5. @Hengame watch his youtube channel. There are hundreds of videos there and they are all free.
  6. I've been all for objectivity and science, it sure has it's place in life. But life can't be lived in an objective way. Even if science proves that free will doesn't exist it really doesn't help you if you feel that you have a free will, same with the self. So I agree that it is dangerous to just believe that what science has proven or believe what anyone is saying about enlightenment. Skepticism is good as long as it doesn't push you toward another belief. So if you want answers to your questions you will have to search for them in a subjective way, which you seem to be doing with meditation. That is also why I asked if you had searched for the self. That book sounds interesting. Maybe I'll check it out.
  7. @Electron You will still be able to think about these things after enlightenment. Alot of the minds activities will go away but it will only be the me-thoughts. Your mind will be clearer and better used for what it was meant be used for. It will be easier to not cling on to a thought, being able to see different perspectives. Maybe not a physisist but Sam Harris is a scientist that has awakened.
  8. Yes it could be that the practice of enlightenment alters the brains function. I think there was a study that showed that it is the case, don't take my word for it though I have not looked at that study myself. Let's say that the ego is real and enlightenment is just an illusion caused by a number of reasons. Where is that ego? Have you tried to look for it? All I have seen is a group of beliefs about the world, the past and the future that together formed the sense of self. No real physical entity. My suggestion is don't believe in the ego and don't believe in enlightenment. In fact rid yourself of all your beliefs and see where that takes you. ☺
  9. @Augustus Can we now when we wake up from a dream that we are actually awake? It might be a dream within a dream within a dream.. ☺
  10. You are just getting aware of all you are doing, ego is all about doing and you are getting aware of it. This is what the do nothing meditation is all about. Mind is kicking in because it doesn't like to not do and it tries to stop it by bombarding you with thoughts of doing and wrongness. Let those thought appear and disappear of themselves, it is perfectly fine that those thoughts appear don't resist there appearance. When you can sit with those thoughts without resisting them you will be doing nothing. Quitting is exactly what your mind wants you to do. Good job meditating for 7 months with all these thoughts popping up!
  11. @Fishy mm yes it is. It's for everyone on the path to enlightenment to remember. ☺
  12. @8LanguageStud Maybe you'll find some inspiration here?
  13. Yes but you will love them still, and maybe even more, once it is realized. ☺
  14. @8LanguageStud Just want to give some advice. Ego can grasp on to this experience and merge with it. It is not finished just because you had an experience. Look up some post-enlightenment videos. Get back to that place, lean back into that which you've realized.
  15. If he believes in God he's probably working hard to remove that belief. ?
  16. @JevinR Oh yes everyone has a life purpose, it's just that enlightened people (?) realize it's not up to them what that life purpose is. ?
  17. Have you seen rupert spiras videos?
  18. @Emerald Wilkins I've had insecurities about myself when I had a depression. It lasted from my early teens 13-14 until i was 28. At the later years I had major feelings of worthlessness and I was determined to find out what was wrong with me. I thought I had a personality disorder. What it was I didn't know, but guessings could be all from asperger to a psychopath. I was so identified with those thoughts I started going to a psychologist to know what it was. Of couse it was all in my mind, nothing was wrong with me. What she recommended me to do was simply not engaging in those thoughts. When those thoughts appeared I started to go out on walks. Focusing on the external world instead of my thoughts. The thoughts slowly started to lose their power over me and I started to feel better. My advice to you is simply don't engage in those thoughts. They will lose their power automatically. Use mindfullness techniques to distance yourself from them. Do the dishes or clean or whatever and focus on that. Also don't resist the thoughts. Let them appear and disappear themselves.
  19. @Deutsche22 I have told my wife and she is supportive even though she doesn't understand what it is really. I've also told a close friend about it and he got interested but I think it scared him. Not many people like to hear that there world view is an illusion. Remember that samsara is a part of the wholeness. Can we love them even though they don't share our world view? Love is unconditional. ☺
