  1. I wonder if he even was God in the first place or if it was just a dream.
  2. If he forgets he is God then he isn't God. He's a human being. ?
  3. So you assume he's not awake based on videos he posted, what, 3-4 years ago?
  4. What's the rush? ? Meditation, Mindfulness. There are many ways but it's not from here to there. It's from here to HERE. A deepening into HERE.
  5. For me there was a desire to leave my family too and go live in the woods somewhere but I did stay. That's something I'm very grateful for today because they do give me great joy to be around. I think that for a time after an awakening I tended to get very easily triggered and it hurt so much. As I worked through those triggers they weren't much of an issue. I had the tendency to try to "protect" myself from triggers but what I really protected was the part of me that hadn't already awakened.
  6. @Holykael The jesus story is a map to awakening. The crucifixion is the death of the separate self and what follows is total unity with god.
  7. Yeah I like that. I'm not a christian myself but I have found great advice about life and about finding truth within the bible.
  8. I don't know if this applies to you but from my experience with people that talk loud is that they are feeling insecure about themselves and are overcompensating for that by talking loud and very willfully directing the conversation to where they feel most secure.
  9. @OBEler Are you afraid of being questioned and wrong?
  10. @Vajra What is your practice or practices?
  11. You recognize that your mind has been wandering after you've become present again. With 'time' it will get easier to remain present. ?
  12. @Someone here what do you need to know? You do what you do and learn on the way. ?
  13. @Someone here There can be a fear of not knowing what's going to happen, which is an egoic projection. It creates an event somewhere in the future and needs to know the outcome. That is an illusion. Once the illusion is seen through there is no longer any fear and then there's a freedom in not knowing. You can do whatever you want to do without needing to know the answer to every question that might come up.
  14. I've tried it but not as a routine practice. ? Great for developing some equinimity to uncomfortable feelings I reckon.
  15. Things comes and go, is born and dies. That's how it is. Any reason to why is simply to make you comfortable (or uncomfortable) with the fact.
  16. Noice, then how do you stop resisting your current experience? ?
  17. How do you love more?
  18. It didn't sound harsh to me. ? In fact I share your opinion about it. I have a family, house and job. I live a pretty much balanced life that you talk about. That said I see it as a subjective opinion. It was the "right" path for me and see nothing wrong about someone choosing to meditate in a cave for 20 years. I get your point though and I think it's great that you share your view with us as a counterbalance to a more extreme viewpoint.
  19. Yes, exactly. Further depth to experience what is. It's up to each one to decide how deep they want to go. I wouldn't say it's overrated but depends on how high they value that. If they value practicality chances are they will pursue fulfilment without.
  20. It's used by the mind to make logical conclusions. The conclusions are not the truth itself though.
  21. Beautiful! What more is left to seek and realize after this?
  22. I'm not gonna make a sales pitch for any "path" but ask you if you value truth? Because that's how it all started for me. I questioned what was actually true or not. For example if you are being cut off in traffic and you say "what a d#@k". It that actually true? Or is the tree a tree? Where have you learned that it is a tree? Where does it start and end? If a mushroom is growing on the tree is it a part of the tree or are they separate from each other? It's simply an investigation into truth.
