  1. @Aakash If you truly realize what your saying you'll see the futility in every action.
  2. @DoTheWork Thank you for sharing your insights. It's always a hard task to write down your realizations in a thoughtful manner, so thank you for taking your time to do so. Perhaps it's time stop all these spiritual practices and let the body have some time to integrate all your experiences? Maybe be in nature for a bit. For example enjoy a walk on the beach with bare feet in the sand. Or trekk in the woods for a couple of miles. Physical work is also nice. Especially outdoors.
  3. Life becomes effortless because there is no longer the ability or need to force things. That movement dissolve. What's left is a flow with lifes ups and downs.
  4. From that perspective it's good to take responsibility of your life. Far better than being stuck in a victim mentality or being irresponsible. And the most dangerous of them all, BELIEVING that there is no doer, nothing to be done and that everything is an illusion.
  5. Yes it's easy to fall asleep especially when you've heard it a couple of times and not actively listening to it. I do it everyday and I've noticed that I'm not angry anymore. There's no stickiness to situations where I've previously have suffered. If someone been angry or irritated towards me I've been quite reactive earlier. Now I don't get angry or irritated in those situations but rather meet there anger from a neutral or caring place instead. Yeah I've tried different types and haven't noticed much difference until I tried that one. So you might need to try different ones until you find someone that fits you. I tried different ones but this one is the only one that I've noticed having any effect. See my reply to @Calmness for the effects it had.
  6. Yes. It will speak to the unconscious mind that way.
  7. It's like the water in a small pond. It can be perfectly clear but once we start to stir the water it becomes muddy and unclear. However if we become still the mud will sink to the bottom again and the water will once again become clear.
  8. Reprogramming the subconscious with gratitude hypnosis. Listen to this while sleeping.
  9. @IndigoGeminiWolf Without a self creating would just happen. Creating for the sake of creating witout an objective/goal/purpose. That's true creation.
  10. @SQAAD You don't surrender your personal needs. You surrender the question of how to surrender your personal needs.
  11. @AlphaAbundance Your desires aren't bad. They are just desires. They might fall away though once you see the truth. The Master views the parts with compassion, because he understands the whole. His constant practice is humility. He doesn't glitter like a jewel but lets himself be shaped by the Tao, as rugged and common as stone.
  12. @rnd at first bliss then terror. Later peace then suffering. Repeat a number of times. Dying, resisting, dying... resisting And then the great death?
  13. @LucyKid It seems like your doing the best out of the situation. Well done. Hopefully you'll get out of that environment soon. ?❤
  14. From the absolute perspective the truth and the lie both arises, no difference there. Have you ever heard about the swamp monster kakapataput? It smells like roses, farts rainbows and has a beard made of cotton candy. And I just now created it. ? Seems like it takes language to lie. I have a hard time imagining that a birds song would be lying. I see each word as a pointer to something same as thoughts.
  15. @ThomasT If you feel disconnected to them you might want to practice mindful conmunication.
  16. @Truth Addict I agree with @tsuki . For there to be a lie there needs to be an intent to deceive. An illusion does not require an intent.
  17. @Ones If that works for you, great. Sometimes that can be hard if the thought are sticky. I then wait for the dust to settle before inquiring into the thoughts.
  18. @Ones Yes they do go very very deep. It's good to be able to see those things for what they are. If not in the moment, then afterwards.
  19. @rorghee Yeah certain times are harder than others and remember that it's ok to be caught off guard. Allowing yourself to be caught can release some of the resistance to it.
  20. After you realize your true self there will still be energetic movements based on the separate self. Past conditioning that is still present within the body-mind. That energetic movement becomes weaker and weaker until it's completely dissipated and that's what is called enlightenment.
  21. Can you accept that the fear is there and do things you fearful of anyway? Most people feel fear at some points in there life but do you give in to the fear or meet it head on? Meeting it is bravery. That's how you change your life.
  22. @Beginner Mind It's a natural evolution of the human psyche. A healthy ego believes in it's ability to change the world around it. An unhealthy ego believes it can't and that it is a victim of circumstances. When the ego is trancended you see that you are not the ego and that the flow of the world shapes everything. Resistance to this flow causes suffering.
  23. @traveler The one I've read is stephen mitchells translation and the audiobook version that @dharm4 link to is really nice.
