So was this thread a distraction to avoid facing the feelings of having a chronic disease? -
@fopylo By dissolving the negative emotions you are also dissolving any negative self image you might have and a natural side effect will be that a positive self image will take it's place. That can later be dissolved if you continue with the work.

Introspection is seeing your thoughts and feeling and let go of them. They are what defines your life and by letting go you transform them and your life. You do whatever you want to do in your life so ask yourself what you want to do in your life. Let go of all resistant thoughts and feelings that come up when you do know what you want. Be happy by doing what you want to do and discard the things you don't want to do. That's a belief. If you want to find someone to share a life with then date. See what feelings come up and let go of them. They are what stands between you and what you want to have. Also a belief. Focus on what you want and see the resistant feelings that come up. Notice that even the desire to be a success is resistance to it because it implies you have to struggle to get it. If you want a cup of coffee in the morning you make yourself a cup of coffee. No desire was there because you knew that it was already yours. But if the coffee package was empty then desire came up because you knew you couldn't get it and you had to struggle yourself to the store to get more coffee. If resistant feelings is let go it becomes effortless action.

Survival is part of the ego and dissolving the final layer of the ego is the experience of despair and death. Nothing really dies though since it's the illusiory sense of self. Believing that something isn't easy makes it not easy. Maybe the labyrinth is an obstacle created by thought? How do you get out of something that doesn't exist? Transcend it to see that it was an illusiory obstacle course. -

@Kamo Different from each other but the source is one. Without identification there is no longer the illusion of separation between subject and object. -

@sara373 could you give an example of when you are pushy and stubborn? -

Which is the letting go of the desire to quiet the mind. ? Let thoughts rise and watch them. Surrender the illusion of control.

@Wisebaxter have you read Power vs Force by david r hawkins? In there is a system to test how true something is. 0-1000 where 0 is false and 1000 is absolutely true. -
? Beliefs usually have a feeling component to it as well. Notice it and let it arise and pass and don't surpress it. If you do you'll be a walking pressure boiler. ?

@Soulife96 Reality is the way it is. Was the annoyance because you believed he should be another way than he is? @Leo Gura yeah but if try to stop all thought and you'll have a whole lot more thought though.

You know the old crt monitors that were used before lcd monitors? Let's say there was a completely white screen on that monitor. Seems very white. Then you take a magnifying glass to each pixel to investigate the whiteness and discover that the white was just red, green and blue dots put together and together they appeared white. Ego is the white appearing on the screen. If you start investigating what the ego is then you see that it's just thoughts and feelings (and other senses) that one is identified with. -

One could see it as identification = rigidity and no identification = fluidity. Ego isn't an entity that exist. It only seems to exist because identification has a separating quality to it. "I am the owner of my thoughts and feelings" which is a thought. One can still be identified with being the witness of experience. It's a half baked realization. Identified to being the nothingness that experiences. Which is rigidity and still separation between the experiencer and the experience. Raw sensation is when the experiencer and experience is the same, oneness. Experience implies an experiencer which is thought dividing the two but there is only one. Can one explain oneness with language that is built upon subject-object division? ? -

Like @allislove said it's identification. I would also add feeling to it since the I thought can have an underlying feeling tone to it. Like I am bored or I am fearful, you feel the feeling. The feeling can be the base of many different thoughts. -
What feelings come up when you think about yourself? Let them come up. If you fear to face your shadow you first have to deal with the fear. Which is meeting it as described below. Yes, like you say you notice the feeling and don't become it and you sit with it until it dissolves. The feeling will continue to come up but with less frequency and intensity until that feeling doesn't come up anymore.
-
Letting go is that you let your thoughts and feelings come up without trying to alter them or surpress them. Good job! ??

Like @Leo Gura said the body is conditioned toward survival. What you call a losers mind might have been a winners mind a million years ago. Winning then was about not taking unnecessary risks. Keep yourself in a well known area and keep out of the unknown. That is quite contrary to what winning is now. There is very little that is a risk to your life and meeting the fear of the unknown is a big part of winning. Thoughts come up with little to no control of them, negative thoughts especially. They are based on the negative feelings that arise in the body. You are the watcher of both.

Thank you! ?

You wrote this: You are free to do whatever you want. ? If you're not happy with you're life then change it. Maybe you are asking because you don't know what you want from life. I don't have an answer for you I'm afraid. What you could do is see what feeling is behind "It is difficult to accept", sit with the feeling until it dissappear and see if the question still is there. Usually we don't have a question to ask if we are truly happy. We don't ask I'm so happy all the time how can I add some more misery to it. ? By dissolving the feeling the question tend to dissappear but you'll be the judge of that. Hope this helps.

Great! ? What happens if you, instead of escaping to the easy things, sit with the feelings of fear and meaninglessness? Usually they tend disappear in 5-20 minutes but sit with them and see what happens.

I think we all can relate to the easiness of instant pleasures. ? Why does the "big things" that you really want to do seem so hard and the instant pleasures seem so easy to do? Could there be some sort of resistance to doing the "big things" and no resistance to the "easy things"? If so what is that resistance?
