  1. @mrroboto Yeah definitely. Thought's are pointers toward something. For example a thought of a tree is not a tree itself. So they are illusiory in that sense.
  2. @trenton nice, very inspiring! thank you for sharing! ๐Ÿ™‚ Just enjoy your newfound peace. No need to rush off to the next thing. There might come circumstances where this peace is challenged so just try to ground in it for now in my opinion.
  3. Full would imply that it's finite though?
  4. A glass can be full of water but without the emptiness inside it can't hold anything.
  5. @James123 Nice post. ๐Ÿ™‚ This is a learning experience for sure. Can also be quite difficult when being completely alone too and all the 'negative' feelings are coming up. There might be a wanting to distract yourself from them.
  6. more like healing the body. Ego is ego no matter if you view it healthy or bad. Well the moment the mind feels confused it will try to make things clearer. Developing the ego is contrary to letting go. You have to choose which of them you want to do.
  7. No politicians was hurt during the recording of this video.
  8. I wanted to share this chart of foods ranked by their nutritional density. Basically it's their nutritional value per calory. It's from dr. Fuhrmans nutritarian diet. What do you guys think? Edit: To calculate the Aggregate Nutrient Density Index (ANDI) score, a foodโ€™s nutrient density is calculated for a set of micronutrients that are considered essential for optimal health. These include vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. The scores for each nutrient are then multiplied by a nutrientโ€™s nutrient density coefficient (NDC) and summed to give the final ANDI score. NDC are assigned based on the nutrientโ€™s importance to human health and the degree to which it is under-consumed in the population. Foods with higher ANDI scores are considered to be more nutrient-dense, and therefore, more beneficial for human health.
  9. I think it makes sense from the nutritarian diet perspective. It's a plant based diet so pushing beef down the list is not a huge concern. I guess with the same logic you now have a list with meat on the top and greens in the red. ๐Ÿ™‚ I get what you're saying. A list is too one sided. No matter what list it's always skewed one way or another not giving an objective view. And i guess that's fine. If you know how the list was made, understanding which parameters was used you won't mistake it for some kind of truth. Maybe they would if they only look at the list and don't educate themselves about the nutritarian diet. I don't think most people are that stupid. This is Ad hominem. We don't really know his intents. Also I don't really think it's pseudoscience, that's pushing it. You might not agree that it's the perfect objective list, I don't either btw. ๐Ÿ™‚ I eat beef. Probably to much for a healthy diet. I am not a nutritarian. Who's under the delusion that beef is a food with low level of nutrients? ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess if I would be living in a poor country I'd rather have beef as a protein source than no protein source at all. Here In the west we eat to much meat in general so wouldn't hurt to cut down/replace it with beans for example. Yeah, good points. I don't think most people are conscious enough to know that they're pushing an agenda. ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. Ok, lidkรถping here. ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. Yeah I remember the first time I realized this. It was really frightening for some reason. ๐Ÿ™‚
  13. Of course not, I'm aware that you can't draw such conclusions. But if you are claiming something then that's the least you could give me to look into it right? I hope your not appealing to authority here. ๐Ÿ™‚ It's impressive though I'll give you that. I've heard doctors isn't given alot of education in nutrition. Is that true? Thanks I'll look through the links! That really brought me down the rabbit hole. So he isn't refuting that a high carb low fat plantbased diet is beneficial. Just that the paper doesn't prove the reversal of stenosis. Also seems like he's critisism has gotten critisism from other doctors. This is quite irrelevant to me. I don't really care whether the plaques disappear or not. Unless there is another study that can make the claim that some other diet can reverse it. I'll just leave this pedantic discussion to someone else.
  14. I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the food bill?
  15. Yeah a meta analysis is of course better than a single study. That's quite a big claim you're making without backing it up with any references at all. Basically what you're claiming is that you've torn through all the science there is and arrived to a totally unbiased conclusion. Maybe I'm straw manning here, please tell me if I do. ๐Ÿ™‚ I do agree with you on many things. Plant based seems like the best option towards health. High or low fat against cardiovascular disease, well im not sure. The only study I know was Dr. Esselstyns with a low fat vegan diet that cured cardiovascular disease. And that study was even repeated. So in my opinion low fat wins that race but maybe there's some other studies I'm missing. That's key in my opinion. If it's not tailored towards that it can't be maintained. The needs from an optimal health perspective though, that's hard to figure out.
  16. According to which study? Also it's a big difference eating nuts, seeds and avocado to eating a processed oil don't you think?
  17. I added some info on how the score is calculated in the topic.
  18. Oh cool. Where in Sweden do you live if I may ask? ๐Ÿ™‚
  19. Yeah. It inspire me to eat more vegetables. But I couldn't go all the way and eat a totally nutritarian diet. No way. ๐Ÿ˜† I like olive oil too. The only reason it gets a low score is because it's so calorie dense. But it feels yummy in my tummy.
  20. @Michael569 Which foods are ranked poorly do you think? Since their rank is calculated by micronutrient per calorie it's not a surprise that the calorie dense foods get a poor score. Sure it doesn't give a complete picture but then what does. Thanks for the nutrivore tip. I'll look it up. ๐Ÿ™‚
  21. Yes, it's pretty extreme.
  22. Eggs, ground beef and chicken is pretty calorie dense, doesn't it makes sense that they get a lower score than iceberg lettuce? Since the score is essentially micronutrients per calorie it makes sense to me.
