  1. Yeah, that urge will fall away aswell if you can let it happen. ?
  2. @Terell Kirby It's a question that no one has an answer to. The shift can happen anywhere and at any time. From my own awakening I can say what probably triggered the shift to happen but that doesn't mean that it will trigger a shift to happen for someone else.
  3. It's not about a perfected state rather it's not clinging to or resisting any state.
  4. If you're fiddling around with states and trying to get some state permanent you'll be walking in circles for a while. I'd say that the map is going deeper into this present moment you're experiencing right now.
  5. That's a thought that appears in "the moment" that is trying to define what "the moment" is.
  6. It's just the way we are conditioned. If you get caught by a thought just recognize what's happened and re-"ground" yourself. That practice can be used anytime all the time and eventually no thought will cause you to "loose control".
  7. Where does this moment begin and end though? We can say "the present moment" as a pointer to direct experience. But that does not have a beginning or end. Senses can begin or end because they are finite but "the present moment" is infinite.
  8. Consciousness is direct knowing. Is there something beyond this direct knowing that you call reality? Well no one can know that for sure but one can believe that there is.
  9. Focus in on that which has a problem with being in the contracted state and long to be in the expanded state. Once there is no problem with being in a certain state you tend to be in an expanded state all the time.
  10. @Terell Kirby Like understanding the directions won't get you to the destination not even get you closer. The only way is to take a step into the direction which is being pointed. But truth is not a destination over there. The destination is deeper into here and now.
  11. If you make mistakes then just learn from them and move on. You choose the path and some parts of the path might be more difficult than other parts but the difficult parts is where you grow the most.
  12. Worth is something we create so the question should be: Do I value existence higher than nonexistance. Yes, because the value you put of existence over nonexistence is attachment. Can you value non-existance though? You can value the concept of non-existence or absence of something but that is still something. The same goes for existence. It's infinite so the mind can only put value on the concept of existence. How would you choose between the two? A person can want non-existance but that is because they are running from something that exists. And that is attachment/avoidance.
  13. What if you saw this moment without the lens of "good" or "tough". ? then how would you perceive it? It all comes down to your conditioning. If there's no resistances then it's flowing and then time flies.
  14. Yes definitely. Prior to everything. As soon as a word is about to be uttered about it it's already to late. So I sit here in silence and just bask in it's presence.
  15. Truth don't really make sense to me anymore. ? Trust definitely. ?
  16. Didn't you say you hadn't experienced that? Or maybe that was someone else. ?
  17. @MilenaS I'd look into the anxiety and dullness, sit with these feelings. It's great that these types of negative emotions come up because they can very well be an ego defense mechanism. Yes in the beginning it can be good to choose a technique that you resonate with but changing techniques just because there is resistances might not be a wise thing to do. These resistances is your chance to go deeper. People tend to choose the things that feel good and avoid what feels bad which isn't a bad thing necessarily. We are all hooked up that way. But in practice these resistances are actually good because they reveal your conditioning which can then be looked at and dissolved.
  18. Well my memory isn't quite what it used to be so maybe it's not 6 months. Thank you for your answers. ?
  19. @PenguinPablo It's about connecting deeper into what's real, the experience you're having right now. The average person is usually very disconnected from it and is believing everything the mind tells them.
  20. Ah thank you for your answers! Also, did you see my edit on my last post? ?
