In one of Leo's videos (how to master and control emotions) he talks about changing the interpretation filter, so that you can determine your emotions. But in another video (how to deal with strong negative emotions) he talks about fully feeling the emotion and not resisting it. I'm just wondering which of these techniques you use at which time?

When going through a breakup, i'm very conscious that it's important to let yourself grieve and feel the negative emotions etc, rather than suppressing, avoiding, resisting, ignoring them etc. I feel that avoiding the negative emotions works against you and makes it harder to overcome a breakup, and in the long run probably leads to a lot of issues that never got dealt with. However, i'm sure that it's also good to exercise, connect with friends and family and be productive and get into a positive cycle of actions. But my question is, is exercising/connecting with family/being productive just a form of avoiding grief and negative emotions of a breakup. Or, is it better to do a combination of both: if you feel really negative, be by yourself and let yourself feel negative emotions, and then during the times when you feel ok, that's when you should exercise/connect with family and friends/be productive?

@Preety_India I find that I feel down a few times throughout the day, and during those times I just sit with my feelings and try to grieve as much as possible and fully feel the emotions. But the rest of the day I just feel fine, should I still just sit there and not do anything or should I start to take positive actions?

Some days I feel really inspired by my vision and other days I find it hard to reconnect with my vision and evoke the positive and powerful emotions. I do things like go for walks which helps sometimes but it doesn't help all the time, and it's not something I want to rely on everytime.

I've taken the life purpose course and i'm building my business, but i'm missing a powerful vision. 1) I'm looking for some material that would help me reconnect with my vision on a daily basis, so that I can evoke those positive and powerful emotions of excitement, fulfilment etc when i'm visualizing or thinking about my vision throughout the day 2) I've added contribution to my vision but I don't find it inspiring because I think i'm very out of touch with contribution thank you

In 2021, which medium do you prefer for consuming personal development material? reading blog posts or books, listening to audio courses or podcasts, watching youtube videos or online video courses? Factoring in all of the following: the amount of hours you have in the day and what fits in with your lifestyle (e.g do you have time to sit down and watch videos or is audio/text better if you have time constraints) how much you can connect with the personal development teacher and buy into their ideas (e.g do you still feel you can connect with the personal development teacher through blog posts)

Hello, I see the majority of online courses priced around £200 are video courses, like the life purpose course for example. Is it possible to sell text courses for around £200? I don’t really want to be on video, I find I communicate much better through writing and have a passion for writing, but even with an amazing product I'm not sure if people will pay £200 for a course that isn't video based. These text courses I want to create are within personal development thanks, Ryan

With all of the personal development material out there, what do you feel is missing from the market? From all of the personal development products from books, blogs, online courses, youtube videos and seminars, what else do you wish was included in these products that you think would make it easier for you to make the changes you seek to make?

@BlackMaze If Leo came to you and said, is there any way that these videos could be tailored more towards your needs, what would you say? For example, if you're someone that likes to look at personal development as a sequence of improvements, targeting health first, then working out, then working on the life purpose. You might feel Leo's videos could include more detail on the sequence of improvements he went through and in what order, starting from weight loss, dating etc. I'm asking this in the context of someone who wants to create unique and original content in personal development, i'm just wondering what people feel they'd like more of and what would make a personal development teacher stand out to them, amongst the thousands that already exist.

@xxxx I fully agree, I think some topics could be integrated and combined. Do you find some of the topics mundane because so many people have taught the same thing, or do you find them mundane because some of them could be more effective, or both? If a range of different subjects were combined to create a fascinating new area of personal development that you had never came across before, would you like anything else to change too, like the way it was taught? Would you like it to be taught in a more interactive way? Would you like it to be taught in a way that tested that you understood all of the content? or in a way that gets you to track your progress and ideas? Or are you happy with the way personal development is taught, but it's just some of the subject matter that could so with some originality to it?

@Leo Gura if you’re able to answer this it would be greatly appreciated because it’s related to two answers you gave before. In a 2017 thread you said blogging is extremely tricky to enter and a solid marketing plan is required In a 2019 thread you said blogging is almost impossible to enter, even back when you started actualized blogging was dead to new entrants, and that the internet only needs so many personal development people. I’ve started a personal development blog last month, and I can already see that any business pursuit will require so much creativity and originality. Question 1: Is it not likely a blogger would be successful if they developed unique and creative marketing and cresting a unique product, In the life purpose course I recall you saying no market is over saturated, there’s always a way to put a unique spin on things? Question 2: Aren’t bloggers successfully entering the market all the time? Question 3: If blogging is saturated then do you feel it would be necessary for me to create a new medium? As I love writing Thank you in advance Ryan

@BlackMaze Agreed, everything you need to know about the theory exists, but if you're like most people you're going to have times where you procrastinate, feel unmotivated, get confused etc. There will always be delays and setbacks in getting to your goals, a lot of these are self inflicted of course. How could personal development theory be improved to help you more effectively reach your goals? Could it be taught in a way that keeps you on track with your goals? Could it be taught in a way that motivates you more?

I'm interested to know how people reconnect to their vision. I know visualisation is one of the best ways, but I sometimes find that it's hard to generate the same emotions on a daily basis. For example, one day i'll be visualsing the impact that I want to have on the world and it feels so inspiring, and then the next day i'll be visualising exactly the same vision, but it doesn't feel very inspiring to be impacting people, I don't have the same passion that I did the day before. Is there a way to generate those emotions of feeling inspired on a daily basis when visualising? thanks, Ryan

Hello I'm aware of the importance of focusing on building one habit at a time, but I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on the following topic: For the past 3-4 years I've built habits of going to the gym 4 times a week, and eating very healthily, and also ensuring my room is tidy everyday. But I now want to improve these habits. I want to go to the gym 5-6 times a week, and I want to make my nutrition even healthier, and I want to ensure I keep my place even tidier. I have other habits I want to start, like meditation for example. My question is: Can I start the habit of meditation, whilst trying to improve the other habits that are already automatic. Or would increasing my workouts from 4 times a week to 5-6 times a week be considered a new habit, and the same with making my nutrition even healthier? thanks Ryan

@aurum Thank you for your advice! I've been doing some thinking and i've realised that increasing my gym and nutrition habits can be put to the side for a minute, I've now realised that what needs my attention most urgently is a habit of working on my life purpose everyday (once I've made this a permanent habit I then want to start meditation because I notice how important it is) I often find myself feeling unmotivated for my life purpose, but I spent a long time creating a vision for my life and my life purpose. I learnt the importance of vision in the life purpose course, and personally for me I feel I need to be reconnecting with my vision on a daily basis so that I continue to stay motivated on my life purpose. Question 1: Do you think it would be possible to start a habit of working on life purpose for 2 hours a day, as well as starting a habit of 10-20 minutes of visualisation daily? Question 2: Or as an alternative, I remember in the life purpose course, Leo mentions that great leaders spent a great amount of time visioning, and that it's important to be visioning throughout the day. I actually find it easier to be visioning throughout the day rather than just sitting down for 20 minutes a day dong visualisation when the images are originally very murky and hazy. So could it be an idea to vision like this instead? Although I guess the advantage of a visualisation habit is that it's guaranteeing you sit down for 20 minutes a day. Whereas if visioning throughout the day, I guess the habit isn't really being quantified. Question 3: At work i've noticed that I need to increase my self esteem and also not care what people think. I have a technique of getting into that mindset of having high self esteem and not caring what people think when i'm conscious of it. Do you think it's possible to cultivate a mindset something like this at random moments throughout the day, without it being classed as a habit i.e do you think I could develop a habit of working on my life purpose (and potentially visualisation too depending on your answer to question 1&2) but then also just aim to increase my self esteem and not care what people think throughout the day when i'm at work just by changing my mindset in the moment, without making it a strict habit? thank you in advance Ryan

@Sagar Takker thank you, this is a really great example! I feel that a combination of both text and audio could make a powerful combination
