  1. As long as you are deeply identified with the ego inside a human body you won't be able to fully realize and embody uncondional love. Because you will always be occupied with defending yourself from external threats. You will always villify and judge to defend yourself. It is impossible to be identified with ego and be selfless at the same time. The reason there is suffering is because it is one of the ways how unconditional love disguises itself. Suffering actually comes for, a deep love for the Self. But you are confused who that true Self is. You think the true Self is threatened by your circumstances because you think your true Self is the ego. If you realized your real true Self you would not suffer so much, and you will learn what real love actually is. Because what is real can not be threatened or destroyed. And when you recognize that place, and realize you are it, then you are able to truly love because it is not bound by circumstance.
  2. You are the one dreaming actually if you think we will be eating meat for long. Our food technology is increasing. Our morality regarding animal suffering is increasing. Our nutritional knowledge regarding health is increasing. And the knowledge of the environmental impact of factory farming is increasing as well. The only thing that will prolong this progress is dogma and tradition. Soon enough we will be able to produce plant based meats that are just as expensive, or possible even cheaper, than animal meats. And the plant based meats will be very hard to distinguish from animal meats.
  3. There is no God that is creating anything, or trolling anyone. Only within a dualistic delusion. There is just you pretending you aren't you.
  4. The future is no meat in our diets at all. Neither factory farming nor organic farming is a sustainable practice if we want to keep our earth healthy.
  5. The thing where I have experienced the most emotional growth is having a leadership position in a highly competitive work environment. Especially the politics and interpersonal drama i had to deal with. Oh boy…. Lot of stress, but also growth
  6. This really strikes the heart of spirituality. Dealing with suffering, uncertainty and death. And the way we deal and cope with it. We can’t really bargain our negotiate our way out of it, because eventually we are all going to have to face it. We can try to run from old age by trying to cover it up with make up, cosmetic procedures. Get a hot young girlfriend or boyfriend. Buy a fast Ferrari and hip flashy clothes. But we are only fooling ourselves that way. The only way to deal with it is to realize that change, any change, is fundamentally neither good nor evil. But we project evil or nobility onto things that happen and change in our environment. The evil is within us, and it projects that evil outwardly as a self defense mechanism. But it’s a flawed defense mechanism because it can never beat nature. The ego can never last forever. The ego is an ice cube that lives in the desert, maybe it can hide for a while under a palm tree. But its fate is inevitable. Become aware of your projections on reality, and see how your projections are not actual reality. And also don’t be sheep; if someone else is freaking out about a certain situation, you are not obliged to go along with that. That person is caught up in their own projection
  7. It's not that bad. He's teaching a stage Orange paradigm to, probably, a stage Blue audience. And a big part of the American population is still stuck in the stage Blue paradigm.
  8. Apart from how cringe this is. I really question the morality of using children in political campaigns. I think it's kinda messed up. Not that Trump or his supporter care though, lol.
  9. I think we, as a society, look at morality wrong. I think we are still stuck in looking at morality through a heavy theistic, religious way. That morality is written on a stone tablet commanded by God himself. Those contain the commandments and they should be followed forever and ever until the end of time. But i see morality as sobering that is constantly evolving, every day. Just like human knowledge is constantly expanding through science and experience, so is morality. So if we are not sure if sobering is right or wrong say this time it’s like beating ourselves up because we don’t know how dark energy works for instance. What we need to do as humans, is to do the best we can with the knowledge and morality we have right now. And hope to improve in the future. And be open to the fact that both our knowledge and morality can be proven wrong in the future. Or better said; outdated.
  10. We only get unhealthy cravings when we are not peace with the current moment. Something is gnawing at us, whether consciously or unconsciously. Our mind does not like that feeling because it’s uncomfortable, maybe even stressful. So the mind will try to find away to escape that uncomfortable feeling. It creates an artificial craving. It’s really a survival mechanism because the mind interpret this discomfort as a threat. And through satisfying a craving it can temporarily escape that threat.
  11. I definitely think philosophy should be mandatory in the high school curriculum. The high school i went to didn’t even have philosophy as an optional course. It’s so important to teach kids how to think critically. To question things. To think about their assumptions of right and wrong. Epistemology. The philosophy of science.
  12. I think create and consume stories to make sense of our complex reality. And the archetypes and stories that are told seem to be both descriptive as creative. There seems to be an interplay between the stories we tell about reality, and reality itself. i mean that artists try to convey something about reality through a metaphorical story. And by doing that, the story also has the potential to influence reality itself. In that sense i see story telling as a vehicle of real metaphysical world building. Its influence is really quite overlooked in our society i would say.
  13. Just quit asap. Do not let yourself be hostage, period. If he starts a bully campaign, fight back, you don't have anything to lose anyway. What is he going to do? Fire you? Be assertive. Don't let him beat you down. Just because he is higher in an arbitrary hierarchy doesn't mean shit. Don't make the mistake of trying to be 'zen' and let him do whatever he wants. Your boss is probably a narcissist and you shouldn't want him in your life anyway.
  14. “I have the right to defend myself in case the government decides to pass a law that imposes on my freedom, therefore i have this bomb that can instantly wipe out all of Washington DC, just in case. I feel so safe and free. USA! USA! USA!”
  15. Listening to feedback is definitely good. Whether it's in business, your relationships, politics and whatever eneavors you are engaged in. Listening to people is good, whether it's positive or negative. Just make sure you don't rely on the positive feedback of others to make yourself feel good. First and foremost you are the one that has to feel good about your own work. Do the things you produce make you feel good, does it fulfill you and do you feel you are doing a good job creating it? If so, the positive feedback from others is just a cherry on top, it should not be the bulk of the cake.
  16. Maybe some cliffs or are you just plugging your Youtube channel? Watching videos is a very inefficient way of taking in information in comparison to text.
  17. I thought the second Matrix movie was so bad that I could never get myself to watch the third one. Loved the first one though, pretty mindblowing back in the 90s and obviously it had a big impact on Hollywood.
  18. Leadership =/= having the most blunt power. Even if that blunt power is economical and political. Is the USA "leading the free world" ? I don't think so, even though they would like the world believe that they do. As consciousness evolves we will see governments and businesses focussing toward other goals than sheer profit and political power. Sustainability, innovation, technology, cooperation, durability etc. But at the moment the US has no interest in going toward that direction because they aren't the front runners in many of those areas
  19. What about if i build an atomic bomb in my basement? That should be legal too based on your reasoning lol
  20. Where are the happiest people in the world according to research? Scandinavia and Western Europe Where are the healthiest and longest living people in the world according to research? Scandinavia and Western Europe Where are governments the largest relative to the countries’ GDP? Scandinavia and Western Europe
  21. The future of companies is definitely where CEOs actually have to care about its employees instead of just exploiting them for labor. Along with the other stake holders. i actually think we will also see more companies working together in a transparent way(i don’t mean to make a cartel). And companies collaborating with charities and government.
  22. I wonder if Taliban rule is inevitable. Apparently Afghanistan was like a free kleptocracy where thieves rule. The administration only cared about enriching themselves. Seems very spiral dynamics stage red. And Taliban is also stage red but they seem to want to transition to a stage blue society. At least that is their ideology. Very strict rules, the opposite of a free society basically. Maybe such an administration is necessary for the people to become more politically aware and involved of what’s going on with the country. I don’t know. How else could Afghanistan have fallen so easily?
