  1. It's going to be difficult for sure. But you can pull it off because it is right. You have justice on your side. And when you do pull it off and your dad will atleast get in trouble for his depraved behavior it will be a great win. You will be a hero man, seriously. This is a real opportunity for you to become a real hero.
  2. I love people that are big dreamers. They have a dream, a purpose, and they go out there and do it. Because that is what lives in their heart, they know if they die and haven't at least tried giving it their all trying to achieve that dream, it has been a wasted life. People that are know that it's not their car or status that sets them apart, but their unique vision and dedication toward it. That dream can be to build a huge tech company; to travel the world and make music; to build a new community; to build homeless shelters; feed the poor in Africa; making Indie documentary films. The amount of stuff or money they have is just an afterthought. Having a nice car, a nice house, nice clothes etc. That can be nice, but that is what it is... just nice. It doesn't really gives you that spark of life, its just...nice. The real spark is in the journey, your journey. Not the journey of some Hollywood movies you watch, or the ads on TV. Also not the journey that your parents think you should traverse. This life is your damned journey, and those other people are just people you meet along the way.
  3. Great things are never easy, because if they were, someone would have already done it
  4. I think this plan is the right thing to do. Your cousin obviously thinks this as well. What do you think? If so. You might try coming up with a plan to sell it the victims to testify. Inspire them to come forward, to take that asshole down. Make the victims feel like hero's, they are doing it for all the victims in the world. That your dad will keep making victims etc. (This would be my plan)
  5. I have the exact same problem... I have contempt for you too.
  6. You are always going to make enemies on your way to success. Even if you are the most noble, loving, hardworking, competent, high integrity, intelligent person in the world; If you have some measure of success there will be a significant group of people that will take great joy and delight in taking you down. That's how this works. And you have to see that as an opportunity of growth for yourself.
  7. Can't you come up with a plan and get all the victims together and let them all testify of the things he has done? You can build a file about him and go to the police, so you have a case. That would be my first thought. The first step for justice is to always take the most legitimate and proper way. If that fails, you can brainstorm about alternative ways.
  8. One of the growth arcs a pick up artist should go through is to not judge women just by their looks. But that there is a real person there, and you don’t sexualize every woman you meet. And a woman’s value is not just her sexual value. It’s kinda embarrassing that most guys don’t even understand this
  9. Leo is just as closed minded about enlightenment without psychedelics as his haters are about enlightenment with psychedelics. ? it’s disappointing
  10. A person expressing his opinion freely can indeed turn ugly. But preventing people from the freedom of expressing their opinion can turn way uglier. We have enough examples of that through history. The solution is is in proper communication and acknowledging our differences as people. People have different lifestyles and preferences, and through proper and respectful communication we can create mutual understanding and respect. We need to be able to express our opinions freely while respecting the other person.
  11. You have made a wrong assumption; you think that God or infinity is bound within this 3 dimensional space-time simulation you are experiencing. Have you considered that maybe that is only a specific manifestation. And that in true infinity, manifestation does not need to abide by those rules.
  12. You are now venturing into a different topic, the topic of decency and social grace. If a man calls you a prude for not putting out. Yeah, that’s assholish and indecent. Obviously a man without many manners. But he still has the right to hold that opinion. Maybe he likes “easy” woman. In that case, in his mind every woman who is not easy comes off as prudish. He has the right to want easy women, just as you have the right to only have sex with men you feel an emotional connection with. Again, you are not responsible for the problem or preference of every single being in the universe. People are different
  13. If you don't feel comfortable with a certain person you are never obligated to have sex with that person. You decide what you do with your body and who you share it with. If a guy is just horny and wants to get laid that is his problem, no one owed him anything. Not you, not any woman. Just like when a beggar on the streets asks you for money you are not obligated to give that person money. It is your money, you earned it, and you decide what to do with it. You are not a bad person if you don't give a beggar money. He is not your responsibility.
  14. You have to look deep within and realize that demonizing people is not helping you to get where you want, but it actually perpetuates the problem. If you live in the ghettos of New York there is a lot of violence, especially done by black gang members. So if you live there as a white person it's very easy to draw the conclusion that their evil and devilry comes from their blackness. But of course that is flawed thinking. And by demonizing people with black skin you create an even bigger divide between yourself and them. So by judging a person by something they can not change, you create a huge wall which can not be broken down. In stead, you have to realize that toxic or bad behavior is never inherrent to a certain personality type or people with a certain skin color. But it's more about how they were raised, their environment, their beliefs etc. And all these things can be overcome.
  15. I have experienced multiple times that a person asks me if I am married or have a girlfriend. When I answer with a no, they ask me 'uhm why not?', in the tone of voice where they are actually asking 'so what's wrong with you dude?'.
  16. I have been heavily involved in the MBTI community before and there is definitely a very toxic element to it. People wage wars about against other types, like a tribal warfare. They demonize certain types or functions. Think they are superior. There are people that perceive themselves as thinker types and use that as a justification to not be empathetic. Intuitive types that think that all sensing types are just dumb and shallow. I even read a blogpost by an intuitive supremacist who says that intuitive people are inherently more valuable as human beings. There are also Youtubers that reenforce this ideology of personality type supremacy.
  17. I’m not saying people should stop, but you have a point
  18. Possibly. But those lab grown meats are grown with plant based nutrients as a “food source”. So technically it’s not plant based, but plant based nutrients are integral to the process of the growing.
  19. I think the emotion of shame comes up when we are in a situation where the person we think we are - or we think we should be - does not align with the reality of the situation. So an easy example; you think you are highly competent at your job, but you make a stupid mistake. Shame can come up because you are attached to your self image as a highly competent person. The mistake you made does not align with that image, so within that dissonance you experience an emotion like shame. Of course the solution to minimize feelings of shame is not to become neurotic about making mistakes to keep up that image of high competency. Even though that is what probably most people do in some way. It’s a natural coping mechanism, but it’s not really sustainable.
  20. Very nice, maybe this should be a sticky or something
  21. No ones demonizing meat eaters here. Just saying, objectively, that it’s highly likely we, as a society, won’t be eating meat for that much longer. Like i said, when our food technology had the ability to produce plant based meats that are almost indistinguishable from animal meats, and at a lower price. The only thing holding back for adopting that technology is dogma and tradition.
  22. You have to approach this in a business minded way. She is getting paid to do her job, not to just chitchat. And her job is to make you progress and increase your well being. If she is not doing that she's probably not the right fit for you and you should move on to another therapist.
  23. That's the joke, you aren't the characters in the world. Even though most of the characters in the world think they are at that character. In reality, or dream(however you want to call it) there aren't any characters. There are forms that may appear to be characters, but there is no character within the character. There's no little small ego controlling the actions of the person or being. And you are also not all the characters, because there aren't any characters to begin with. And when you realize that deeply, your karma won't really matter much anymore because you will most likely don't see the point in doing harm to other characters to enrich your own. Because there aren't any characters, just the love of being.
  24. If you have to do a test to find realize what stage you are.. well, then you are probably in one of the lower stages. Let's be honest lol. And I think the creator of that test didn't really understand Spiral Dynamics. Probably just tried to understand the gist of it and tried to apply it for his website.
