  1. Like others have said; it can be quite dangerous to make an idol of any one teacher because everyone's perspective is limited. And you can't be a 100% positive that everything Leo says is true. He could either be deceiving us, or he could be deceiving himself, which in turns could be deceiving us. What other people here have pointed out; a teaching like that you are God can be very dangerous for people who accept such a statement on blind faith. And a lot of people will accept such a statement because it is highly appealing to the ego. So crosscheck sources with other sources, teachers with other teachers. Think things through, does it really makes sense what this person is saying? What are the consequences to myself and to others if I accept this doctrine? And does this doctrine stroke with reality?
  2. Don't put the blame of the drug addict on the drug. Not saying that this forum is like a drug. But the responsibility of how a resource like a forum is used is up to the individual. It can be helpful to inform people more about the possible dangers of social media usage. Which I think is still a new development and there's little scienitific research on the issue. But it will come eventually. But for now. It's good to stay mindful while using social media. And be aware if you are using it, or abusing it.
  3. I agree about being careful about demonization and blaming. But on the other hand, always approaching everything from a relativist meta-perspective can also be used as an egoic self deception. The ego can use these meta perspectives to not put its own skin in the game to keep itself save, and prolong its delusion.
  4. You could argue the same thing for the Holocaust, as a necessary cultural step in the evolution of society. That does not mean we should stand by and say it will pass eventually. Because if everyone adopted that mentality it won't pass, it wins and stays.
  5. Worrying about it is not going to help at all. You can only help yourself by facing yourself, and do what you have to do. In stead of wallowing in guilt about what you haven't done what you should have done. It's not too late to make amends
  6. Post-modernist feminist indoctrination from a young age through media and schooling(from elementary school up to university). It created a culture where men cannot be themselves anymore without being attacked for 'toxic-masculinity'. Subjective feelings have taken over precedence over objective truth. Telling the truth will get you fired, cancelled or attacked verbally or physically by a mob.
  7. No, not at all. Leo is interested in existential truth, love, philosophy and self-actualization. And religion is inherently linked with all those concepts. Especially Christianity, because it has such a huge influence in the structure of the development of the western world. Even if you are an secular growing up in the west, you will be exposed and formed by a lot of Christian influences. Leo has done a video on Islam (which was not very in depth). And Leo is heavily influenced by Zen Buddhism, Taoism and Neo Advaita - which are religions and/or schools of thought.
  8. A life with meaning. I’d rather live on the streets but have meaning in my life than being filthy rich but nihilistic. It’s not even close.
  9. That’s like asking how many calories a person should consume for optimal performance. It depends on a lot of factors. For instance the kind of work you are doing; heavy intellectual work is different from heavy physical work, is different from routine office work, is different from work where you have to deal with people etc. Really this is something you have to learn to listen to your intuition. You don’t want to make your worm too easy for you, nor do you want to burn yourself out.
  10. I like Rupert Spira’s metaphor that spirituality is about cleaning the lens of your consciousness, so you can see clearly and accurately, without bias and petty desires. No monkey mind, circular thinking or neuroses. Just being aware of what is and doing things in harmony with what is. Which means that your decision making can be pure and not be tainted by your ego.
  11. There’s something really funny and ironic about a company that is all about being social, interconnected and community, but is really all about screwing all people over for profit. And the head of the company (zuck) is probably socially stunted. Anyway, i hope Facebook dies off soon. I don’t see any added value to the world of that platform in 2021. It’s like Facebook has become the myspace of today - irrelevant. But the market decides so we shall see
  12. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_and_abortion Not all Christians are anti-abortion and not all Christians are stage blue.
  13. People who are born in corrupted Africa with no food. Where rape, malnutrition, murder, theft is the norm. These people probably suffer more than people that are born with a disability in a rich western country. The thing is that i don’t know how to even judge the quality of someone else’s life. There are also a lot of people who are born in a wealthy family without any disabilities. But they get caught up in drugs at a young age and eventually die from an overdose after a miserable descent into hell.
  14. I think your paranoia in this case is a bigger problem to your health than having to sit down in class. If you have a healthy diet, and you live an active lifestyle already there’s nothing to worry about. Just make sure you have a good sitting posture and don’t slouch. Focus your excess energy on the content of lectures.
  15. I can see Leo’s point that from a universal level everyone acts from good intentions. But you have to put a big asterisk next to it by saying that even good can be extremely misguided, confused and ignorant. Which we, as a society, have to judge as evil in some way to keep our society functional. So even if every person has a core being that is essentially good, that good can be twisted and distorted that it becomes harmful and malignant. Both to himself and the people around him.
  16. From a Christian perspective i would say it is immoral to about a foetus if you know it has disabilities. Because a single person can’t understand how God operates. Look at people with dwarfism who are able to live a happy life. Our war veterans who become disabled. Maybe their role in the universe is to inspire people. Maybe a disabled person will learn profound life lessons through his unique perspective that he can share with the rest of the world. I think we can learn through a story like the Book of Job that even when a person has lost everything, including his health. And there is immense suffering, there can always be a path forward to live a blessed life. And that’s the point of inspirational stories; no matter how bad things get, there is always a way forward to a better life.
  17. How exactly is being beautiful a curse?
  18. You can definitely get fat on an organic diet. Even a full vegan diet with healthy foods. i think the only diet a person would struggle to gain weight on is a fruitarian diet, but even then it’s not impossible. These addictions like food addictions can run really deep, deeper than the average person is usually conscious of. A lot of times it’s already ingrained from a young age so it’s nested within the ego identity. Using food as an escape from reality unconsciously. Living your days from meal to meal. It doesn’t mean he’s lying. It can mean that he just hasn’t gained the awareness of his relationship with food. And our relationship with food runs very deep in our psyche because it is directly linked to our human survival. So food is also one of the hardest areas to change your beliefs on.
  19. My guess is that he just loves food a lot. Little addictions can be really hard to break. Addictions that are not necessarily directly destroying your life, but still have a negative impact on you in the long run. Addictions like food, cigarettes and porn
  20. I guess the person who decided to issue that trademark strike hasn’t reached stage turquoise yet
  21. God is an autosexual, loves having sex with himself
  22. It’s like you are in the ocean and you are trying to grab water to hold onto something. That’s what’s going on right now
  23. The Spiral Dynamics people didn’t agree with Leo’s take on stage turquoise and demanded he takes it down
  24. Success comes from within. it’s a state of authentic engagement with life. Winning the lottery is not real success. Bullshitting and scamming to get a million bucks is not success. Being seen as successful by other people when you inside don’t feel successful is not success as well.
