  1. The way Jesus is different from other people that became 'enlightened' is that Jesus never 'sinned', according to scripture. He never needed to realize enlightenment because he always already was the perfect embodiment of 'The Father'. The Father being infinite consciousness, and the Son(Jesus) is the limited incarnation. Jesus was not omnipotent and omniscient like the Father, but he was a perfect incarnation of the Father in the flesh. So Jesus was God, but he still had human limitations like other people. He only needed to adapt his divine nature to our 'fallen' world so he could spread his message. And God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in one essence. So the manifest and unmanifest are one essence, yet separate 'persons'.
  2. Every person is definitely unique. Uniqueness doesn't mean we don't share commonalities.
  3. Focus on your own life. I mean, we are all called to be in service to other people in some way, like through our work. But only you can enjoy and/or suffer your own life, not someone else. So you gotta find a way to make life meaningful, for you. And, probably, a part of that will entail you finding a worthwhile expression through work. Another part may be raising a family and being part of a community. And another part(imo the most important one) will be having a strong spiritual connection to God. A good life is not going to fly into your lap. If you take that mentality, then yes, all will be lost probably.
  4. I would say that God is inherently good. And there is a varying degree of lacking goodness in the world which comes from ignorance and fear. So good is absolute, whereas evil only exists as a relative to good. Even the worst evil still contains a little bit of good, whereas absolute good does not contain any evil. That's why good eventually prevails over evil.
  5. You have drank the kool-aid. And you want to create an environment where people can't say what they want to say, even if it's the truth. Exactly this is the contemporary culture that has been created that is poisoning our society. It's not the people that are blunt with their words that are creating a poisonous world. It's the people that want to control the usage of language with censorship to suppress the truth. The truth is offensive, and hurts people's feelings, thus it's illegal to say. You can define humans as beautiful and loveable, but that is not reality. There are murderers, thieves, rapists, pedophiles, adulterers people who would kill you without remorse. And there are people like you, who want a relativist morality, where it's 'all good man, just chill'. And censor people who don't drink the kool-aid. Yeah, those people are even more dangerous than the murderers. And look at how hypocritical you are. Now you say that I can call people hoes. Yet, a few posts back you wanted to kick me out of this forum. Typical new age hypocrisy
  6. In my experience, the dream job that will provide meaning, pleasure and satisfaction in your life doesn't exist. You have to find the meaning in your life in general, in your soul. A FedEx job can be great for a while. You can learn about the logistics and politics that goes on in such an environment. You can learn to deal with new people, acquire new skills. But never put any hope in a job to fulfill you because you will be only disappointed. And it's also not a good idea to grow comfortable at a job so that you become part of the interior. You will start to feel stuck, which will seep into other areas of your life. Stay on your toes, learn to dance in the fire. Yes, the system is set up for people to get a job and rest on their laurels, just working mindlessly. The system is made for sheep. And it's fine to work within that system, we all have to. But you should not engage with the system of sheep with a sheepish mentality, because then you will be just exploited. You have to keep the ball in your own court, or else the system will eat you alive.
  7. If you had any power here you would be the last person being here anyway. This used to be a forum of truth, but it has become a leftist echo chamber where no differing opinions are tolerated any longer. "Celebrate their sexuality", yes nice empty rhetoric which you don't even believe yourself.
  8. sexism /ˈsɛksɪz(ə)m/ noun prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex. "sexism in language is an offensive reminder of the way the culture sees women" It doesn't meet the definition of sexism. I would say the same exact thing if it was a man. Stop virtue signalling @Tim R
  9. I'm not in favor of forcing for women to get pregnant, as that is their own responsibility. What I'm not in favor of is killing human beings in the womb. And yes, I know that the reality is that people who are not emotionally mature yet will become pregnant anyway. But the right decision is not to shift that responsibility on an innocent lifeform that won't get a chance at life because of a lack of maturity in the mother. I'm generally against fighting evil with evil. Trying to solve poverty with killing babies? That's just not a viable and moral solution, nor is it an effective one. The right to abortion has little to no effect on the level of poverty and abuse. We should make sure we create enough support systems for families and single mothers in need. We really do not need to resort to killing innocent babies. Who else, in history, resorted to killing a certain demographic to, supposedly 'solve' societal problems? The Nazi's. And yes, if the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother. It's justified to choose the mother over the baby. In that instance we have to be pragmatic and concede that there is no way to save both lives. Regarding unviable pregnancy; I'm not sure on this. I have read reports of doctors that have told their patients that their baby was unviable, but came out healthy anyway. So i'm not sure on this issue. But overall, I don't think it's ever morally justified to kill a baby in the womb. Regarding sex education; I'm totally for sex education that promotes safe and responsible sexual behavior to prevent pregnancies and STDs. And you are right, research does seem to indicate there is some effectiveness in its usage, so that's a good sign. I said that it mostly won't help because it won't help to drastically reduce the enormous numbers of abortions that are done every year. Most women that get pregnant know the risks of having unprotected sex. They know, they just do it anyway. Also, we are living in a 'hookup culture' where sex is available around every corner. People don't have to try any more to get sex. And I think that promoting and normalizing abortions just aid to this culture. Which I see as a low conscious culture. A high conscious culture takes responsibility for its actions, not evades it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0tQZhEisaE
  10. @Lyubov So the key to holding a healthy relationship is good 'dick game'? Lol
  11. @something_else Actually the fewer sex partners a person has had before marriage, the happier they are. If you think fucking a bunch of people is going to provide any lasting happiness you will be disappointed. If that was the case prostitutes are the happiest people in the world lol. But they are the most miserable people. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2018/10/sexual-partners-and-marital-happiness/573493/
  12. I'm not a communist or socialist so no, I don't support that the state takes away all responsibilities of the parents to raise their child. People need a bit of struggle in their lives, because that is a part of life anyway. Just pumping money around is not going to take that away. But of course, government should support single mothers that are struggling. It should be easier for people to adopt a child. I'm all for helping people that are struggling in life. Because everyone deserves a minimum standard of living, and everyone deserves a chance at life. With abortion you take away a chance at life for someone that was supposed to have one. And yeah, I'm all for sex education and such. I don't think it's going to help much though, but I am in favor of it. But to answer your last question, the responsibility always belongs first to the parents, not the government. The primary task of the government is to protect the freedom and safety of its citizens. Not to take over the life of every individual.
  13. Abortion is murder. Stop twisting facts. This article is a liberal propaganda piece to stir up hate against the Republicans. Liberals don't give any facts, just appeals to the indignation of 'oppressed people'.
  14. People on this forum should really question their own presupposition that the Democratic party is by definition more 'enlightened' than the Republican party. That Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are more enlightened than Donald Trump. If they were more enlightened wouldn't they get better results? Make America a better country? Is that really going on?
  15. The morality of Islam is mostly based on hate and fear. Just read the Quran. Muslims, even though they acknowledge the existence of Jesus as a messenger of God, they pretty much reject his teachings. So the ideal person of Muslim people is Muhammed, a war mongering pedophilic brute who beats the infidels into submission with violence. Islam is pretty much a regression from the Judeo-Christian values of the West, but it prides itself on being an improvement and modernization of it, as it came into existence later. But this improvement do not show themselves in the harmony and functionality of their societies. It's too easy to say; oh Muslim countries are just at a lower consciousness than Western countries, that explains exactly nothing. It's just that the moral foundation of these countries are out of whack, which will manifest as dysfunctional societies over centuries long.
  16. People here seem to think God is a communist, and any person that makes more than the average wage is evil and against God.
  17. He succeeds Joe Biden and Greta Thunberg, I think that says enough about the credibility of that award.
  18. When you live in illusion it is without worth, because nothing has any solid substance and everything is ever fleeting. It's like you are living under water and trying to grab water to study it and measure its worth, it won't have any. When you live in Truth you recognize that everything has worth, worthiness is inherent to this reality you are experiencing. This love we are all seeking is worthiness; is value; is God.
  19. When the people become retarded enough they will, unconsciously, create the environment for an authoritarian government to emerge. That's what you are seeing right now in America. The left is doing everything it can to destabilize its cultural and political values. And if they succeed, the country will be stripped of its identity and chaos will ensue. An authoritarian government always emerges out of chaos. The nazi regime is a good example, but the same goes for the current regime in China.
  20. Any person with an ounce of self-respect should refuse such a task. Cleaning toilets is way more honorable than this
  21. Of course it's a scam, most personal development guru's are just as miserable as their disciples. They don't teach the truth, or even any valuable life skills. They teach you to think how they think, including their own subjective delusions. A brainwashing course.
  22. @r0ckyreed I know what you say comes from a good place, but that also, does not make it true. Hitler thought thought that the Aryans were of a higher consciousness and value than the Jews. So in his mind, exterminating the Jews was his subjective expression of love and his highest act of service he could provide for the good of Germany. Of course, I'm not in favor of Hitler. But by your philosophy, Hitler could have justified himself for his actions to be righteous. The problem with your thesis is that the level of consciousness is not an objective measure, it's totally subjective. Who knows if the Jews or the Nazi's had a higher consciousness? And tell a person who works full time at McDonald's, with no degree, little possibilities, to just 'raise his vibration'. And as a result of that he will just 'attract the bees'. Is this a likely outcome when applying your philosophy for people who work at McDonald's? And yes, of course, everyone wants to be in bliss all the time. But is your philosophy a gueranteed way of getting to this bliss? How many people in the world have achieved this state in their lives? You have to have some method to get people into that state if you want to 'build a conscious society'.
  23. @DocWatts The problem with virtue ethics is that your personal subjective ethics will not be the same as mine, thus there will be a clash. So there will be clusters of people with the same subjective ethics that will try to devalue and deconstruct the value of the other groups. At its core it means there is no objective value, It's majority rule. The problem of this is that one group can come in and claim that the lives of other people are worthless based on their own subjective value, and destroy the other group. Like in Nazi Germany and China for example.
  24. But you don't know what brings about the most "bliss" in other people. Maybe you can know which actions to take to bring about the best feeling in yourself, but why would your pursuit of this bliss be good to others and the community? How is this any different from a dystopian society where everyone is being given drugs to make them feel good so that society can be controlled and make sure everyone is in 'bliss'? You can argue that this is a noble position from the people who enforce it.
