  1. Your first mistake is equating institutional corruption to rape and murder. Both are crimes, but obviously different kind of crimes. The first is physical in nature, in which males have an obvious advantage over females, as males have naturally more muscle and bone mass than female due to hormonal differences, generally speaking. Females can be physically stronger than some men, but in general, men are stronger than women. Thus a female molesting a male will be physically very hard. As a man won't have a hard time resisting an attack by a female. Note that this discrepency doesn't mean that females are inherently more virtuous or less depraved than men. It could be just as much that women know they can't abuse men at the physical plain. Corruption however is not played out on the physical plain. It's a white collar crime. Women can just as much compete with men, as other men, when it comes to institutional power. And they do. Have you been following the case of Elizabeth Holmes? White collar criminal who fucked over investors and medical institutions for hundreds of millions of dollars. Another point is that most positions of power are filled by men. Thus it makes sense that, absolutely speaking, most corruption will be done by men as well. Note that this doesn't mean that men are more corrupt than women, regardless if it is just that more power positions are occupied by men.
  2. Philosophy and spirituality is like a bug, once you are properly bitten there isn’t really a way back. You may push it away for a while, but eventually you will come back at it again. Thus in a way you don’t really have a choice in the matter. You could also say that some people are called toward this kind of work, while others are not.
  3. I don't think racism has gotten worse, I personally think that on a global scale racism is actually reducing as there is more understanding and tolerance for people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds. The reason an increased division might be perceived is that feelings about racism were suppressed and are now bubbling up to the surface. Which results in this explosive debate about racism. There have always been dumdums that can't debate with nuance and thoughtfulness. And they will always have a voice in public debate, and they probably should. And in these times it's much easier for dumdums to voice their opinions via social media than ever. And in the same vain, there are so called media outlets that love to exploit the uninformed opinions of the dumdums. We have to be mindful that our perception of these huge public debates are also skewed by the media, that have their own agendas in influencing how the debate is being conducted on the big stage.
  4. https://edition.cnn.com/2022/02/01/media/whoopi-goldberg-the-view-suspended/index.html It's pretty amusing that the left is now getting cancelled by the left. They are digging a hole they themselves are falling into.
  5. He never talked bad about black people. You are spreading misinformation yourself, should you be cancelled as well? There are thousands of hours of Joe Rogan talking footage on the internet. If you dig hard enough you can find bad things about literally any person. Even if you are a saint, if you have made thousands of hours of content I can make a compilation that makes you a candidate to be cancelled.
  6. What I sense in Leo's videos is that he is quite disdainful of Christianity and brushes it off as mostly primitive superstition and tradition. I don't think he does Christianity justice there. There are a lot of people out there, brilliant people, that are devout Christians. And they have clear logic and reason for their belief in God and Jesus Christ. I wonder if Leo really studied Christianity in depth. And read works of theologians, saints, apologists, enzovoort. Studied the Bible and its meanings. The Christian influence of our Western world view we take for granted as 'common sense'. I really would like to see Leo do a deep dive into this topic.
  7. Concepts, words and ideas only have power if you give them power. The power is not in the word or concept itself. So a good awareness exercise is to become mindful how your mind assigns power to certain concepts, which will be pretty unique to the individual. People are triggered by different things.
  8. @The Lucid Dreamer +1 for the lack of public restrooms. The only way to find a public restroom over here is to drive to a gas station, they usually have one, you still have to pay though. Otherwise you are out of luck, lol. It’s really crazy. The ability to take a dump should really be a basic human right.
  9. Veganism is one of the good things that has come from the left. Funny thing is is that most leftists aren’t vegan. Scaling back animal agriculture is amazing for the environment, public health, and can raise compassion for animals. And it reduces our collective cognitive dissonance regarding animal abuse.
  10. Having a national police force also doesn't solve crime. But an established country needs a dedicated police force to counter criminals, even if it doesn't solve the issue of crime. Just like you need counter-terrorist operations to counter terrorists. Just don't be under the illusion that taking out a terrorist will solve all problems. Taking out Pablo Escobar also did not end international drug trafficking.
  11. Who cares? People don't have to go if they don't want to and thus don't have to pledge financially. Focus on how (semi-)government money is spent on bullshit, because that is your money.
  12. It's laughable that soon the angry mob is going to decide who gets to go on the Joe Rogan podcast and who doesn't. Anyone who doesn't fit the woke agenda gets cancelled and sent to the gulags. And down the line the final result is that we are allowing a culture to be created where people will become more and more scared to voice their opinion.
  13. @itachi uchiha what do you mean when you say when “God orders to kill apostates”? How does that work?
  14. @Husseinisdoingfine Go to Pakistan or Afghanistan and shout on the streets that you are Allah, let's see what happens
  15. @Scholar You need to get real. Rogan makes 3 hour podcasts multiple times a week. Do you think it's even humanely possible to fact check and research everything he says, and keeping up with every update that happens on every topic? As Rogan gives his opinion on literally everything. No, if you think Rogan is an expert on everything, it's on the listener. Rogan is a podcaster who interviews guests, and talks about stuff he finds interesting. He never claims to be an expert or an authority. Are you taking health advice from a guy who is openly on steroids, smokes cigars during podcasts, smokes weed, drinks whiskey etc. The whole vibe of his show is just a couple of dudes kicking back on the couch and talking about random topics. Whereas CNN positions itself as a serious source of reliable and unbiased information. This isn't really up for debate.
  16. Lol. Joe Rogan is not claiming to be a medical expert, nor a neutral source of objective scientific information. If his fans take Rogan's advice, or accept the information he provides them, it's on the fans. Whereas CNN is claiming to be a 'neutral' news broadcasting network. Which, of course, they ain't. So apart from the fact who is doing more damage, who is the one that is not trying to actively deceive their viewers? That is more important.
  17. How is he “spreading misinformation”? He’s just a podcaster who is giving his opinion on covid. If you take his medical advice you are a moron. Just like you are a moron if you take the medical advice of a CNN news reporter. If anything, this just seems like a poor attempt to clout chasing, which just shows how low CNN is sinking
  18. You can’t solve the issue of people making stupid decisions by taking away their freedom to make stupid decisions. The best approach is to educate people to make sure their decisions are informed. So that if people make a stupid decision, make sure that it’s an informed stupid decision. Because people are going to make stupid decisions anyway, it’s part of human nature. edit: i posted this in the wrong topic ?
  19. If you think CNN is natural you are crazy. They are trying to bury the news about the pedophiles that are employed and/or formerly employed by CNN. If you are truly neutral you also report the dead skeletons that are in your own closet
  20. You prevent wars with wealth and prosperity. Make sure the society, across the board, of countries are prosperous and thriving and they won't want to wage war with other countries/tribes.
  21. If something small like that is the deciding factor in you following through on starting a business or not, it’s highly likely you weren’t going to follow through regardless, or at least not enough to start a successful business. If your intrinsic motivation is strong, telling someone or not telling someone about your plans it’s trivial in the bigger picture. You are either starting a business or you are not.
  22. If you obtain mastery in something you can profit of literally anything. You just have to be creative to find a way to make it profitable, but you have to be creative anyway if you want to live an optimal life, in my opinion. You can make money being a master stamp collector, nail painter, computer customizer, bonzai tree cutter, you name it. As long as you are good, have passion for your craft, and know how to communicate your passion. People will come. I have seen people make money with the weirdest things.
  23. That a certain kind of expression could come across as offensive to a certain group of people is not reason enough to prohibit that from being expressed. Sometimes the truth is offensive to people. Meaning; the offensiveness of a certain expression can only be used, supplementary, as a reason to sound argumentation for prohibition. The reason for this is that offensiveness is generally quite subjective. Especially when used in a nuanced context.
  24. I'm not comfortable with the fact that people want to control the usage of language. Especially banning certain words from public vocabulary. Just like I'm not comfortable with groups and institutions are actively pushing to revise history to fit their contemporary agenda. That's why I think people of all races should be allowed to use all words. But the usage should be judged by context on a case by case basis. Thus certain expressions and words should not be outright banned, especially not if it only pertains to a certain race or demographic. I will argue for that the usage of the n-word is appropriate by races other than blacks, in certain contexts. And adding to that, to the meme of this forum; downright banning certain words from usage seems very SD stage blue to me, as it inhibits the free flow of ideas and information.
  25. So when black people use the word it can be appropriated by context. But when people of other races use the word context doesn't matter any more, it's just racist regardless?
