  1. If Leo is not real, why would he(or it) try to convince me that he doesn't exist? Wouldn't he try to keep up the illusion?
  2. You don't have to tell them right? You can believe what you want, just like they can believe what they want. And if they want to pray or something you can just be respectful and go along with it. You don't have to 'come out of the closet' and make a big deal about it.
  3. You need to be pragmatic, not just listen to your feelings. Your feelings can deceive you and they will. A masters degree is always a plus on your resume for future employers, even if it’s not in the field you will be working in . A masters degree in philosophy is an impressive feat and can be a real conversation starter for the rest of your professional life. It’s way better than: “yeah i was getting my masters degree but i dropped out”. Own that masters degree, do it. You don’t want to be working at Mcdonalds or Kentucky fried chicken
  4. It’s all about power. As long as the government can make you believe they will keep you safe from “the enemy”, they will stay in power. Regardless if its actually in the best interest of the citizens (probably not). As long as the government has an enemy it can point to, it can divert the attention away from its own failings. i see the same thing happening with the rona pandemic. Governments suddenly granting themselves unlimited power because “the need of the many outweigh the needs of the few”, or something along those lines.
  5. Verify, verify, verify. Don’t accept the validity of a piece of information just because an authority says so. Or because the information makes you feel good. And you need to ask yourself if that information has any practical use for your situation right now. Understanding and discerning facts from fiction regarding the Higgs Boson is relevant for a physics major, but for a business major, less likely.
  6. Why would you pay that much money? Literally every concept that Leo ever presented in his videos have been revealed, written down and presented by mystics, philosophers, gurus and theologians, way before Leo did. Even thousands of years ago. Leo just knows how to communicate it very well, in a down to earth and relatable way.
  7. Look at yourself from the third person and recognize that you are worthy to stand up for yourself. You probably wouldn’t hesitate to stand up for someone else if you saw them being abused or assaulted. You must see yourself in that same way, don’t hesitate to stand up for yourself as you would for someone else. You have value as a person and you deserve decency and respect. And learn how to do that, because it’s probably going to take a little bit of time to integrate it successfully
  8. Having a goal is a reason in itself. You don't need a reason to justify the reason, and to justify that reason, and to justify that reason, and so on.
  9. The best strategy is to make sure you have quality content first. And embrace the grind to keep pumping out new content regularly. The marketing aspect is a secondary focus i.e. SEO, social media, community building etc. It's really hard to get traction going if you have shit content, although it is possible. But it's a shitty strategy if you want you channel to be sustainable
  10. Deconstruction is actually a big part of philosophy. Derrida comes to mind. In fact, most philosophy isn’t intended to be practical at all, but practicality can be an outcome of a certain philosophy. Objectivism and stoicism come to mind. But it’s more about the underlying principles than just about getting certain outcomes.
  11. It depends on your interpretation. For some people knowing that they are all alone brings great peace and gives relief. And knowing every person is a reflection of you grants you the opportunity to love everybody unconditionally
  12. Elon Musk and Joe Rogan live there, lol
  13. I wonder if spontaneous human combustion is a real thing or just an urban legend
  14. In leadership it’s almost always walking that fine line between making the best decision, and the decision that doesn’t piss too many people off too much. The best decision is not always the right one, because the best decision usually pisses too many people off because they don’t know what is best for them, but they think they do and you can’t convince them otherwise. Thus you have to compromise to make the best decision as possible that has support with enough people so that you don’t get dragged out of the office by people with pitchforks.
  15. Yeah, weight lifting(bench press, squats, deadlifts, cleans) and martial arts.
  16. Because we are smart animals that know that we are going to die, so we try to look what is beyond our deaths, so we can prepare ourselves for whatever will come. We think that this knowing will give us more peace in the present.
  17. I spent my whole life looking for an ego but never found one.
  18. I feel bad for you guys that can't fuck their own buttholes. It's the real life cheatcode to infinite anal sex
  19. This is grifting. Go beg for money at the Salvation Army or something
  20. Why would I want to do that though? Seems kinda dumb and achieves absolutely nothing. Apart from you becoming a crisp.
  21. He gets support in the form of ca$h. If he wants unconditional love he needs to get a dog
  22. "As private as possible" Read that statement out loud with a straight face. Imagine the government installing cameras in everyone's homes; "but we will only look at the footage if we think it's necessary". Yeah, that's grade A bullshit. It's your forum, you can do as you like. But don't call a potato a cherry when it's clearly a potato
  23. You want a high quality community, but you have a lot of low quality mods who give warning points without proper reasoning. And there’s no way to appeal a warning or a ban, to my knowledge. This is bullshit. In stead of a community, you will be creating a low conscious dictatorship if you don’t make any changes apart from just cracking down on users.
