Yes. That's true, at least from my experience. Those interpretations are so sticky and sneaky. Imo, you become the bully and the victim.

I'm glad that I didn't radicalize myself by using this forum. I was addicted to it and could have completely destroyed my life. I wasted my time reading through every topic I could and thinking that I could solve my problems by just reading and reach some ultimate understanding of reality. How stupid of me! I still learn from here, but without bullshitting myself too much. Also, @Thought Art thanks for sharing that video. Saw a short clip of his videos, very interesting. Gonna watch them.

You can make them think that they are in control of you and exploit them by playing mind games with them. Don't underestimate yourself. People love to think that they can't be fooled. There's always a way to fool them. You just have to find the blind spot.

@Majed The latter is more fun.

@at_anchor Do you know or can you find someone who can get you out of there to somewhere safe? Are all your family members by their side? I'm so sorry for the situation that you're in. I wish you all the best.

@at_anchor One of the options is to outsmart them. E.g., use their manipulations against them.

Get good at something, find a job that pays well, and buy whatever you want. Also, find your passion(s), which will make you even more confident and attractive.

@Basman So from YouTube, you could only learn the fundamentals? If so, do they teach the basic skills clearly? (I can do my own search on YouTube, but I wanted to ask you first)

@itsadistraction What's more funny is that most people don't need those men to brainwash them in order to go to war. People have ideas to defend. But I'm sometimes glad that those people exist. They balance each other out. We are like the Earth, not too close nor far from the sun. You have to be careful how you survive with them. You have to be clever in living with them without being involved with them and have a plan for how to survive without them.

People here, when taking psychedelics, experience wild things that aren't immediately recognized as some of the facets you mentioned. Don't they count as mystical? Am I a wrong? -

Does epilepsy count as a mystical experience? -
I think that would be a global war, and we would all be forced to go.

@Vrubel God is Christian, and my people were the first to accept. So we are the first and true ones. I'm so lucky that I'm superior to others.

Age 5 or 6. 1) I was questioning time. Even though I had a limited understanding of time, I was still amazed at how relative it is. 2) I was going home from the shop, and on the way I got a solipsistic experience. Age 10-14 3) I started to get a mystical experience of love when suffering was starting to get too much. These are reminders for me now. -
@Gennadiy1981 Being god's chosen people is a coping mechanism to not self-reflect, and thinking that people were more truthful by being religious and knew the things that are talked about here back then is just hilarious. Tell that to yogis or the first humans who did psychedelics.

@Razard86 That could be said of every kind of group or individual. It's interesting to know why they are so bought into that idea. I feel that there is something unique about being a physicist compared to other domains of science and non-scientific domains. -

I still don't get why physicists are more biased to explain things by dividing things up, and why they think that doing that will lead to more fundamental answers about reality. -

What if seeing the apple and then the elephant is the transformation. -
@PurpleTree I was agreeing with you.

@Princess Arabia Depends on the situation. Imagine something that you don't know and have been acting in a way that makes you think you know about it. Also, there are things that are beyond our capabilities to know, so we are automatically being dumb about them. But we don't, couldn't, or shouldn't care about it.
-
It's not easy to see that when you think of yourself as more objective than others.
-
I agree. Brutal brainwashing happens when minorities face extinction. Dude, I get what you're saying. I don't need to justify my whole existence with group thinking because I have the luxury to do so. I just don't buy that BS.

Idk, I like the word fantasy. It reminds me of cartoons that are meant to be apparently silly.
-
@Gennadiy1981 Be careful about spiritual fantasies; they could destroy a whole country. You won't be able to hold them when your country can't defend itself. People in my country still have spiritual and nationalistic fantasies about how the country should be; they cherry-pick some historical facts to justify them. They are in a worse situation right now.
