Read as many books from as many thinkers, religions, spiritual systems as you can. Also watch/listen to them on youtube if you are more of a visual or auditory learner. Find a mentor who is 10+ years ahead of you and gleen as much as you can from them. Study psychology, cognitive biases and as much as you can about the human brain.

Most people are basically brain dead extremists. They think there is an alternative to self help, there isn't. You either get better or worse. You either move towards or away from your dreams. You either help yourself or hurt yourself. You either improve your body or it gets worse. You either become dumber or smarter. You either become more primitive or enlightened. People's minds are clouded by pleasure chasing activities where the options are endless; What chips will they use to stuff themselves? How many partners and with who will they sleep with? How many things can they buy? How can they impress even more people? How can they sleep even more? Which drugs and parties are best? Life is more binary than that, so naturally they assume that the endless options of their pleasure chasing lifestyle ALSO apply to "self help" or a million other options (there's just 1).

You're the opposite spectrum of him, you espouse left wing views, you're just more crypto about it than he is or you try to be. Although, you are the same as him. You are on the same tier as him, both of you have glaring holes in your sage game.

Look at the state of your students vs the state of his. Where are your student's QUANTIFIABLE results? Compare that to his. How much money have you given away? Compare that to his. Poker, I play 20-30 hours a week, whenever I want, it's chill af (only 1 table) and it's 1 on 1. Here are my results: I have systematized the entire thing and I teach it, if you want to learn the rules and are keen, you can do well. I guess it depends where you live as the first year under me (we go 50/50), I'd expect 15-20k for those hours, 30k wouldn't be unheard of, but it would be somewhat hard. Long term, 40-50k is where you'd be. It depends on where you live though, if you live in Eastern Europe or Africa or if you live at home, it's awesome. If you live in NY, London or California alone....not so much. Anyways I'm always looking for more students, but you gotta be willing to do the repetition and learn the rules/terms.
