Get some wingmen and learn to have fun and enjoy yourself. This is key.
It's not supposes to be a grind, it's supposed to fun. You gotta learn to have fun partying moreso than picking up women.
Do you understand that all those folks you see out at night, are just out to have fun?

Quality, Ethical Sales and Marketing Wisdom Mega-Thread
@Michael569 great list. I especially like the part about description, not persuasion (which is mostly just manipulation in this context). That really seems to be the only way high consciousness sales can exist.
    Here's my piece of wisdom:
Drop this idea that simply because a customer is wiling to pay for something, that you are offering them value. This is an incredibly toxic belief that is widespread in the internet marketing community. Rationalization on top of rationalization about why you should just figure out what the market wants and give it to them. Doesn't matter what it is as long as there is demand.
In reality, demand =! true value. There might be demand for cigarettes and drugs, can you honestly say selling those things is a high consciousness business that brings value to people? Perhaps in a twisted sort of way you could rationalize it. But it's obvious to me that people can demand all sorts of things that are not higher consciousness and may even hurt them.
If you actually loved your customers, you would care about what is best for them. End of story.
Of course it practically may be more of a challenge to sell higher consciousness products. You might be get all excited about how your product is going to change the world, only to discover that people just want low consciousness garbage and get outcompeted. So get too idealistic either. You have to find a balance of demand and value.

Don't want to kill your buzz but this doesn't sound like a good idea, theres too much competition in this space, especially with language learning websites starting to incorporate AI into their platforms.

You should be learning about sales, content creation, and marketing in addition to programming, creating a software based biz as your first business is not advisable as you don't have the funds or the exp, (this is coming from a software dev btw).

Programing is not something you half ass if your trying to make a career or money out of it. If your serious I would suggest learning Python as your first language. Build a small project and see if programming is something you want to take serious or if its just a hobby.

You can still satisfy your passion of teaching languages in different ways that don't involve programming.

There is little need these days to learn web programming unless it's something you want to specialize in. Coding is not an effective use of most people's time unless you seek to do it for a living. Either use a platform or outsource the work to a professional so you can focus on your area of mastery. It's important to learn to deligate work to the right people and not try to do everything from scratch yourself, as that is very inefficient.

Coding your own website these days is not a good idea unless you need something very unique and specific. There are tons of platforms available that make it easy to make sites with little coding knowledge.
But if I was developing a serious custom site from scratch I would use HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript. This is a classic stack that's proven to work very well unless you need something enterprise-level.

  8. Can't force myself into programming
    Can't force myself into programming
I tried to force myself into data analytics thinking I could move to Austin, do pickup, have money, etc. I lasted only a few weeks of DA certification course. Now I’m working concrete construction to bootstrap an epic voyage of discovery and I’m going to employ creative hustle for my purpose. The women can wait if they must.

  9. Can't force myself into programming
    Can't force myself into programming
You really can't be a good programmer unless you thoroughly enjoy the craft. Programming is one of those things where you can't work for 8 hours and go home and ignore it. To create proper solutions you'll be deeply invested in your work to the point where it will consume your entire life. I started programming 20 years ago and have been doing it professionally for nearly 15 years, and I can tell you from experience that there's two kinds of people, those who can do programming and those who can't, and I don't really know why. If you can love code, it's for you. If you can't, you should probably find something else to do, something you will enjoy.

    Can't force myself into programming
It’s in the approach, outlook, attitude, perspective. It can never be found, because we’re always creating on the fly. It can always be changed, because we’re always creating on the fly.
    Old paradigm:                             New paradigm:
    Forcing.                                         Allowing.
    Forcing myself.                            I am myself.
I know it sounds dumb.             I care how I feel, not what anyone thinks.
    My motives.                                 Inspiration. Feeling great.
I lost time.                                    I am presence.
I’m productive.                            I’m aware of focus; it’s always now.
Pressure, frustration.                 Willingness, letting go, contentment.

    Can't force myself into programming
I know it sounds dumb, but I just can't force myself into programming. It's something I was doing for 2 years, yet I left this job to take a break in life in general and rethink my motives and what do I want to do going further.
I'm feeling lost. I know it's a lot smarter way to go about my purpose too - move to a big city, earn more money, with an easy, comfortable job, it all makes perfect sense, yet, I just cannot force myself to do it.
I was like - ok, maybe this is a sign, that I shouldn't do it and find something else, but I lost too much time already. I feel like maybe there's some inner conflict, but I really cannot find any. Another thing I was thinking about was "being afraid of leaving survival mode" and start thriving and it's on a subconscious level. Or maybe I'm just procrastinating and deluding myself (don't think so, I'm a pretty productive person and I do a lot of stuff every day, but maybe..).
It's like my 3rd or fourth attempt over this year to force myself into learning programming and finding a job again in this industry, but I just fucking can't. It's frustrating as fuck. And my current job is even more fucking frustrating. I'm lost, please help.

  12. AI Agency being a top business model for 2025
AI Agency being a top business model for 2025
One of the coolest business models now available for people is AI agencies. There's a few different angles on it: automation, chatbots, AI voice agents, etc.
Here's a solid video on it
I started my traditional business journey with the SMMA model learning from people like Tai Lopez and from the initial research I've done; AI agencies are much easier to run and keep clients with because businesses start depending on your AI processes answering their calls and messages.
I would recommend it for people new to business as the fulfillment is much easier than most other business models that rely on you fulfilling an in person service or consistently closing people with traditional social media marketing.
I was recently calling businesses to book a podcast for my entrepreneur podcast and nobody answered on the weekend. That lead me to see the use case for this. Over the next 2 years it makes sense to me that every single business will have a 24/7/365 AI voice agent on their answering machine. Why not be us that sells it to them?

  13. Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
@electroBeam By being a visionary and a leader.
Also, you don't need to necessarily convince investors. Do everything yourself if you're that picky. That's what I do. I work solo by design.
To run a successful business you have to be a relentless doer and outside the box thinker. No one is going to hold your hand in that process. You will either lead yourself, or nothing's gonna happen. You need to provide all the answers. That's your job. If I solve your business problems for you, then I'm the one creating that business, not you, making you obsolete. The whole point of starting a business is that you personally assume responsibility for solving the hard problems. That's why you get paid the big bucks if you succeed. It's not a paint by numbers process. If you want to paint by numbers, go work in a factory which some visionary has created.
You can't have it both ways. You can't say, "I want to be a leader! Can someone please tell me how to lead? It's hard. I don't know what to do!"
In that case, you're a follower.

  14. Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
@Leo Gura But how do you convince people to work in your team with those type of values? I've been in the startup industry for a while. Investors only care about money. Employers only care about 'being big time' and being successful and famous and everybody loving them.
And then you might say go find some spiritual high consciousness hippies to join your business
And then what you find is that they are so hippy, that they can't be fucked making a business.
The only way to do this is to somehow persuade greedy business people into doing a business of high values, by somehow getting a well meaning goal, and painting it with flashy dollar symbols, in hope of tricking everyone into thinking its going to make them rich, when its not.

  15. Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
Rather than focus on ethics, I would recommend you really get in touch with what impact you want have in the world.
Is that what you want your life to be about? The numbers game of advertising? Really? Is that the best use of Creation you can come up with? In a universe of 2000 billion galaxies, you will devote your whole life to building landing pages and min-maxing ad campaigns just so your customers can put a few more coins in their pocket?

  16. Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
Online Marketing, Ethics And Life Purpose
Of course most marketing and business is unethical. Multiply that by 100 for online marketing.
It's a lot harder to build an ethical business on solid values. And it can't be done in certain industries. Which means you might need to change industries.
Building something to align with your deepest values usually means going back to the drawing board, questioning everything about what you do. You probably won't be able to do it just by putting some lipstick on a pig.
The LP course points the way for how to do it. It's not a very business-like course, but that's exactly why. Business-like courses will not ground you in your deepest values. They will just teach you unethical marketing techniques.

[SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
I would take a good chunk of time off from school and work, go into solitude and reflect on my top values and brainstorm a new vision for my life.
    This is about finding yourself.

  20. [SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
[SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
    - read books, took notes, consumed other creators content, took baby steps
    - went to a 10 day naturopathy healing center, got rid of withdrawls & depression
    - enrolled in local commerce college just to have a degree
    - started supporting my father in our traditional family business.. I was super-lucky to have this time of exploration without having to worrying about career/finances
    - joined other skill based classes in local which made me social, functional and intellectual again
    - I discovered my passion for philosophy & psychology.. even enrolled in distance learning psychology degree (didn't continue it after 2nd year as I got way better knowledge through YT and other self-study means)
    - got to know about god/awakening/spirituality which blew my mind again.. but this time out of curiosity rather than suffering
    - I din't care about anything else other than this
    - It was like I contemplated on this for most of my waking time..kind of like Self-Enquiring 4 hours daily for years
    - Did Vipassana, Inner engineering and other Yoga programs by Sadhguru, tried mushrooms and ayahuasca
    - and finally understood what God, Leo, other teachers were trying to communicate with me
    - It's that - 'It is what I say it is' or 'I am what I say I am' or rather 'what I choose I am'
    - Not what God says, but what I say
    - And that was my moment of realization
    From Monk-mode to Work-mode

    - Then what? A field of infinite possibilities opened up for me
    - I immediately moved out (my parents tried their best emotional blackmail to stop me lol), took a content writing job as writing was a skill I trained to a degree (my cover letter was so good, they didn't even bother asking about my credentials)
    - Gained experience, confidence and marketing knowledge
    - Shifted back to my hometown, this time out of genuine desire to support my father and grow our family business.
    - tried bunch of different stuff too like stock trading, teaching, writing..did Life Purpose course again
    - Have been having best relationship with parents since then.. not because I listened to them and came back to join our edible-oil trading biz (that I left again as my father found my ideas way too radical) but because I've got the backbone of self-respect and genuine love for my parents. Their manipulations seem like child's naughtiness to me. And I can clearly see their love for me in certain actions. We love spending time with each other. but coming back to our work discussion,
    - only a few months back finally finalizing to make my career in copywriting and marketing
    - did a few online courses and have been pursuing freelancing since then
    - I can't put into words the level of clarity that I have now. My mind works like a flowing river when I intend and focus it like that.

Now why did I share my history in such detail and how does it relate to your situation? how you might benefit from this?

I will like to mention a few key points that will help you sort things up:

    1. Getting into a state of happiness first, before trying to figure it all out

Note that it took me far too much time to figure it all out. Heck, many people still haven't figured it out.

See what you're saying is that - I will only be happy when I have certainty about my future.

And we are saying that -
don't worry about it so much as of now, take a chill pill do what needs to be done like confronting your parents and let them know that you don't want to continue engineering or whatever your take is have patience, do the right things - like getting any basic job that pays the bills, explore your interests, etc etc.. hey and even leo's new course is also coming, aren't you excited for it?? If I were at your place I would postpone dying until then 😄 (hey sorry didnt mean to joke about it..i could never know your pain and I wish you fast healing) once you have the right state of mind, right careers will appear in front of you like a shining diamond. You wouldn't be able to miss them even if you try. You will just know that this is the thing for me and I will achieve the highest possible success in this.

    2. Making your parents proud vs making yourself proud
Please don't even think of taking your life away (now don't say it is automatic.. we do have the ability to direct our thoughts.. please steer your car to make a U turn) I can't even imagine the suffering my parents would go through if I ever did suicide. It kills me to imagine that Dude, you need to first experience what being a parent is like. Only then you will be able to appreciate their love for you. Forget dying, you will wish you could serve them for all your life I am getting a taste of this just by becoming a dog-parent. Being a parent is like nurturing an extension of yourself So what if they weren't able to nurture you the way you wanted? They did the best they could They didn't have the level of information distribution as we have in this age. But that doesn't mean they should be punished for being ignorant. Yes you don't want to punish them, but they will surely experience it as punishment One good idea I will like to share with you that I have as my aim is - how about forgiving them for whatever shit, and becoming parent to your parents? I will make myself proud when I am able to fully do that. In doing that, I don't care if they get ashamed of me.. (honestly I do care, but not more than making myself proud)

    3. Unlocking your genius

I am cent percent sure that there is a talent within you that is waiting to be honed, waiting to be appreciated I am not saying this to cheer you up or anything, I am saying this with having a deep understanding of how life operates The fact that you were considering taking your life says that you have so much repressed energy that is seeking expression Also the fact of changing careers shows you are wise as Leo mentioned. You like to think far ahead and can't pursue something which you don't see blossoming into something great.. This is good however don't discount the process by which this discovery/unlocking of genius happens. For you to find your niche/field of expertise or whatever you want to call it, it is necessary for you to go through this frustrating phase of dissatisfaction with current career choice.. You see, there's a flow here.. from discontentment to contentment.. So according to me, this current event is a call for you to seek your calling As Leo said in his videos, make finding your life purpose, your life purpose!

  21. [SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
[SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
You would still be in this situation because you are in the wrong line of work.
All you have to do is let go of your pigheaded ideas about what your line of work should be.
You are simply lacking openmindedness. An amazing career could be right around the corner for you, but your mind is so closed and stubborn that you will not even look at it.
This is why I teach radical openmindedness. And you have still not learned that lesson. You have gotten so stuck inside your own mind that you bought a rope to kill yourself. That's what closedmindedness leads to. And the solution is to simply open your mind to new perspectives.

  22. [SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
[SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
But it doesn't matter whether I could pass or not. There are many things I cannot do and should not do. You're not getting the key lesson here. The lesson is: life is all about finding your niche, fitted to your strengths. It doesn't matter what your strengths are.
You are playing to your weaknesses. It's been obvious to me for over a year now that engineering is not your strength. The solution is simply to stop doing it! That's it. Stop doing the things you will never be great at. But you keep insisting on doing math and torturing yourself.
Go do what you are good at and enjoy. It's that simple. You need to look outside academia. Academia is not for you.
Quit academia and start a real life. That's your answer. You instantly feel better.

  23. Is anyone here actually doing well financially with your life purpose?
Is anyone here actually doing well financially with your life purpose?
The reality is that if you want to become financially successful, you'll have to set aside your ideals for a while and be ruthlessly pragmatic. There's no way around learning the fundamentals of business - like sales, marketing, basic economics, etc. - if you want to get your venture off the ground.
Once you've reached a certain threshold of basic business aptitude - meaning you're earning enough to survive by providing some kind of service or product to customers - you can start developing your business in accordance with your higher values and "purpose." This will be a slow and steady process, though. If you try to get too fancy too fast, you'll just undermine your ability to profit from whatever you're doing.
In my case, this involved dropping out of college to work in a call center and grinding away 60-hour weeks to develop myself into a highly skilled salesman. Now, I comfortably make five figures a month and can work from my phone anywhere in the world, which opens up a lot of possibilities for "individuation" again.
I'm basically trying to express Whitehead's idea that “[one] advances by extending the number of important operations which [one] can perform without thinking of them.” In other words, you advance in business by mastering all the fundamentals at each "level," working yourself up toward something that is increasingly aligned with your highest values - or becoming more "individuated," so to speak.
Really, this is just basic evolutionary dynamics, which you probably intuitively understand. But when it comes to one's own life, things are naturally very murky and obscured by all sorts of emotional and psychological turmoil.

  24. [SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
[SERIOUS] Suicidal due to academic situation. | I have a note and rope ready.
@Husseinisdoingfine You are taking university way too seriously. It's really not important as you tell yourself it is.
All this situation means is that you are not cut out for that kind of high academic work. That's okay. The problem here is that you keep trying to succeed in a field that you are not naturally well-suited for. You need to sit down, accept that, and find a new field that isn't heavy on math and hard science. That's okay. There's nothing wrong with that. You will be much happier once you switch careers. You are too attached to that one career field.
Do not kill yourself over this issue.
I switched my major from out of enginnering after years of study because I realized engineering was a bad fit for my personality. Imagine if I killed myself instead. That would be silly.
Throw away your rope right now.
You will never need it. Just sit down and accept the pain that engineering is now right for you. There's no shame in that. There are much better fields than engineering.
    Throw away your rope.
Switching to a career that suits you better does not make you a loser, it makes you wise.
Happiness awaits you once you just accept that you don't need any of this engineering stuff or academics to be happy and successful. Academia is an illusion. Certainly not worth killing yourself over.
