hahaha, yeah. I remember how a super strong relationship with a girl formed, just on the basis of 5 matching music artist in our dating app. For her it was like we knew each other for ever. "How can someone who also likes the same music as me, be anything but perfeeeect???!"

Thats also a tried and tested technique in sales. Small little dumb similarities = all the trust in the world.

I think Paul Valery once said: "Power without abuse loses its charm." Which couldn't be more obvious for low ego developed rich guys. But, what is your assessment of Bill Gates? To me he is a massive green flag. Not attending Trumps Inauguration, while every other billionaire did so. Focusing on value and productive good. No attention fuckery ever. Which is a graceful thing to do if you deal with billions.

Also to engineer AGI you would have to understand how general intelligence fundamentally works. And since we don't even know how human neurons became intelligent, its impossible to copy. Most likely its gonna be happening like Penicillin, a mysterious byproduct under the right circumstances.

This forum is so unbearably cringe sometimes.

At what part or domaine of science do you see the largest room for practical improvements, with better epistemic and ontological understanding?
-
You forget how dangerous, tricky, risky and heavy, development up the spiral can be. We stay at blue, because thats the most efficient stage to be right now. Humanity would crash if everyone woke up woke tomorrow.

Where does this anger come from? Why pollute this place with so much restlessness.

You seem like a chill guy.

Humans would meditate 1000h a year and do weekly 5-meo sessions, if that meant better practical science. Yet the best practical science came from pretty non-spiritual folks. Its hard to really pin point how metaphysical understanding affects practical science and vice versa. Its not obvious to me how enlightenment would make me a better practical scientist.

@Leo Gura Regarding the latest post on definitions and science. You said that scientists cannot realize that science is fundamentally unreal because they would stop being scientists. But isn’t the next natural step to evolve into scientists who apply science wherever it is relatively real, and leave out metaphysics to the realm of „transcendental-scientific“. I don‘t see a real discrepancy here. Why would understanding of „only mind“ reality undermine your scientific potential to do great thermodynamics, medicine or tech? After all, science was always just a tool for practical measures. And if a non-dual scientist delivers better science, science will become non-dual.

Go craft it for yourself. Maybe it’s a nice lesson for you to understand how to create popular things.

Don’t forget to adjust handicaps based on: „support of parents, teachers, friends, availability of fitness resources, IQ, trauma, neurodivergence, genes that code for motivation and discipline and more factors, yet to be found significant..“

You 100% need a podcast buddy, that plays insightful ping-pong about everything discussed here. This would be a splash of clean water on the braindead podcast landscape. Only in the field of totalitarian leaders you could fill 4 episode as it seems. You know, with the intellectual level of the forum posts or blog posts - nothing too advanced. Surely there is someone to do it with.

That’s true. Most Germans, even many of the top Nazis, did not precisely know what was happening in Auschwitz and other camps. Rarely anyone of them visited the camps. During the Nuremberg trials the Soviet’s showed them video footage from the liberation of about different 20-30 camps. They said, that many top Nazis couldn’t look at it and some even fainted. „The banality of evil“. As Hannah Arendt wrote about it.

That was mostly Himmlers and Heydrichs domaine. I can't remember Hitler being too occupied with christianity, since the church did mostly what he wanted. Eventually he would have had religion transformed to his will. The Nazis were in general not in any good willing tolerance to anybody. They laid out plans to even invade Japan and Italy after the US. So I'm sure not even christianity would have survived long-term.

@Leo Gura By the way, do you still have clients occasionally on personal development issues, here and there? Or did it become too much work eventually?

@Leo Gura What is your typical approach to self-learning any new field of anything, in the practical sense. For example, if it comes to coding, web dev, game dev, video editing of that sorts. How do you make sure you get the most out of your effort, without a coach? Of course there are plenty of online resources, but it’s hard for a newbie to know how „efficient“ they really are. I noticed that there are quite the differences between how some YouTuber would teach a topic versus a prof. or established teacher. Not saying either one is better. And that’s the question. Do you spend money on teachers? Or do you self learn all the way?

@The Caretaker By the way, are you actually the person behind "The Caretaker" and his notorious music?

Seems to be super depended on neurology coding genes. Motivation, excitement, interest ect. can be turned off and on by the right brain-chemistry.

How can a woman seriously injure 12 people with just a knife. Stabbing one or two people into life threatening condition seems hard, but 12?

Maybe my wording was not clear enough. Of course God doesn't have or need any bias. But why does it seem so biased? You see, I don't have schizophrenia. Does God have a bias against schizophrenia? Why does God stubbornly refuse to give me some schizophrenia flavors? And if you are only talking about ultimately everything being infinite, than how does this relate to the relative world? At which point does Infinity limit itself to this experience here? There is infinite bias needed to exclude so many other experiences that could be this moment.
-
@Leo Gura regarding the ice cream post. Why does God have a bias against a dysfunctional and shit life in one of my best friends - Josh. He has the most beautiful, conscious and loving life one can have at this age. Meanwhile I’m struggling just to have fun meditating. So how does this relate to infinite flavor? What insight can I apply to my direct experience with metaphors about infinite anything.

Side note: Every LLM is deeply trained to be liked by the user. Something which is almost impossible to talk it out of.
