It depends. If you for example have parents who love you, you will completely destroy their lives for the rest of their lives.

@BornToBoil 2 things can potentially be wrong with suicide: That you hurt people who know you. And the possibility that life can get better, but that doesn't apply to everyone. Some souls are obnoxious and aren't loved by anyone. In my opinion people got it backwards. When a birth happens there should be mourning and when death happens there should be joy.

I have tried therapy a bit and stuff. Maybe life isn't a struggle for some people, but it is for me. I can't see how I could make my life into a miracle.

Nothing is worse than being completely alone and unlikable. My loneliness is driving me crazy.

Seems like that is what Leo is saying. Personally I think others are experiencing too. If they wouldn't, then you could torture other beings and they wouldn't feel anything. No one would do that, except people who completely lack empathy. No way. -

@Leo Gura So are other beings conscious? -

It's true that everything is happening in my consciousness. But I can't see how that's evidence that what you said is true. There could be others, etc. It's just impossible to know for sure. Leo saying that psychedelics is required is also just imagination (I'm offering "people" a alternative to psychedelics.) How is God Love? I can't see it. The only way I can conceive of Love is the creation of duality. Because for me, being in the total solipsism hole is hell, so duality is paradise compared to it. But I see the creation of duality as a necessity, so calling it Love is a bit too nice, imo. But okay, I guess you could be right. I'm currently not in a great state of mind.. so my entire post could be bs. -
I hate life so so so much. Now would be a good time to kill myself... but I'm not going to do it. God really created the ultimate prison. I don't know what his problem is, but he created one heck of a prison, good job. Apparently his favorite hobby is to torture souls. (I don't really believe in a theistic/classical conception of God.)

I don't know. Which proves my point. -

Can everyone just stop thinking that they know. No one knows. -
I'm ready for death too, but not because of enlightenment stuff. The problem is that the body insists on surviving, even if you rationally know that suicide is the right thing to do. So life is a prison of suffering, and you don't even know how you got there. Life is so bizarre.

Because he claims he can do lots of stuff which would be easy to prove. Yet he doesn't prove. And he also claims lots of other ridiculous stuff. And people pay him. Try to use your own intelligence.. There's sooo much bullshit, delusion and fraud in the world. Set your aim on truth, not wishful thinking or insanity. Basically, words mean nothing. Don't trust just words. And also, even if something sounds logical, it doesn't mean it's true. You need some kind of evidence. -

I think he's a fraud. -
I'm currently reading the book "Quantum Enigma: Physics Encounters Consciousness. 2nd Edition". It's quite good, but it contains lots of complicated technical stuff which only a genius in quantum mechanics can understand. From it I found this quote from Albert Einstein: “It is basic for physics that one assumes a real world existing independently from any act of perception - but this we do not know." https://www.newscientist.com/article/mg23631510-200-consciously-quantum-how-you-make-everything-real/ But the thing which scientists don't agree about is: what counts as observation? According to many scientists observation isn't the same thing as consciousness. But to me it seems difficult to remove consciousness from observation..

That there wouldn't be any problems without consciousness. -
I said it because of this thread and other threads recently. When you get older you will realize that you don't want to live forever. You will also realize that our bodies will die.

In a normal country no one would ever vote for a republican candidate again.. Which would mean the death of the republican party. I think it would be good if Trump would be the republican nominee, because then the republicans would lose the election. Americans can't be so crazy that they would make Trump president again, right..

I'm Swedish ?? And also Finnish ?? Not that it matters, but whatever. -
They are easy to dismiss. They could be lying, hallucinating, dreaming, imagining, believing or mentally masturbating, etc. Keyhole has a excellent signature. But I don't know if I can trust my experience either, since I could be hallucinating or something. Or well, I can trust my direct experience.. but direct experience doesn't say anything about the future, for example.

Well, fact is that other people would suffer very much if someone committs suicide, there's no way to get around it, even if you think that morally people have the right to kill themselves. I think they do morally have the right to kill themselves. But that it causes others to suffer immensely is a simple fact, so anyone who has even a bit empathy should put that in the calculation. One of the most common suicide methods is safe and painless when done properly. But since you aren't allowed to mention safe methods in forums.. people choose bad methods. NDE accounts can't be trusted as evidence. And when people like Neale Donald Walsch and other "gurus" claim something without any evidence.. It's not worth anything at all. His book could be used as toilet paper though.

There's 2 rational justifications I can think of: The suffering your suicide would cause people who know you. And the possibility that it can get better later in life. But it's of course not certain that it will get better. The chance of it getting better varies between cases. Finally some truth and honesty. Nice post ? I like it.

It's really stupid that euthanasia isn't allowed in so many countries. There's not a single good argument against euthanasia. It's illegal only because people can't think rationally about it. And such stupidity pisses me off. The laws are supposed to be based on reason and not on some stupid irrational emotions. It would lessen the suffering in the world. Make it legal immediately.
