  1. I have already gave solutions a try. It seems like Dunnel has too.
  2. Not sure if that was a joke. But that's just a fantasy. In reality you will never want to actually do it, or be able to do it.
  3. @Dunnel If quantum immortality is true (google it), then the risk is that you will miraculously survive it, but with permanent injuries. But if it's super duper high up then the survival risk should drop to 0% in all universes, in that case, you will survive by finding yourself in a universe where you didn't decide to jump at all. So that's another reason why it should be super duper high up, just to be sure.
  4. If you jump, make sure it's high up enough, instead of just turning a bad situation into worse if you get paralyzed for life or something. When it's about buildings the height should be at least 10 stories up, not sure what it translates to feet or meters. Sorry to hear about your situation. I don't want to live either.
  5. And what is the evidence for that? It's just a belief.
  6. No it's not worth it. But you don't really have a choice. What choice do you have?

  8. @Just Timothy Congratulations. I love being put under general anesthesia. For me it wasn't like normal sleep. It was much better than that. In normal sleep I have some kind of basic perception of time or dreams or something, difficult to explain. But in general anesthesia it was totally lights out. No difference between 1 minute or 10000000000 years, in normal sleep the difference would defi-fucking-nitely be super obvious. It's so fucking fascinating. Mind blowing. I want to experience it again. Like, how the fuck is it possible. Enjoy the expe.. Sorry I mean the mindblowingly total lack of experience.
  9. That he doesn't answer, or even read my private message.
  10. No I don't. But also you don't know that the stuff they experienced is real.
  11. That doesn't mean that what they experienced was real actual things.
  12. When the scientists say how many galaxies there are and how big the universe is.. They are only talking about the observable universe. The actual universe is even bigger, probably infinite. Of course we are not alone. This picture (Hubble Legacy Field) shows a tiny patch of the sky. Everything you see in this picture is a galaxy: Higher resolution version, up to 25500x25500 1.19 GB available here: https://hubblesite.org/image/4492/news Btw, the James Webb Space Telescope (successor to Hubble Space Telescope) which will get launched on 31 october will see even further, it will deliver even nicer pictures and reveal new stuff about the universe.
  13. Just so you understand that each galaxy is huge: our Milky Way galaxy for example contains 100-400 billion stars. This is the greatest picture which mankind has taken so far. Every little dot (except maybe a few stars) is a galaxy. And it only shows a tiny tiny part of the sky. You can download the picture in up to 25500x25500 resolution here: https://hubblesite.org/image/4492/news
  14. The first step to starting to believe in conspiracy theories and shit is to reject everything mainstream and only consume information from alternative sources. Once you fall into that hole.. I don't know if you can get out. So watch out.
  15. There's overwhelming scientific evidence that the tap water where I live is safe. So I happily drink lots of tap water. I'm going to drink some extra now. Hooray for science and evidence instead of beliefs, fear and superstition.
  16. That one doesn't trick me. I can clearly hear when it starts over. It's just a normal repeating loop. People are so easily fooled.
  17. Yaay it's not some romantic/sexual shit, woohoo, thanks.
  18. Well I hope it's not some freaking romantic/sexual bullshit
  19. I hope that's just a analogy. It's not even a good analogy imo. Consciousness is that which is conscious of "pure light".
  20. Yes when you die you get born, obviously. But I'm not sure about the rest of your post.
  21. Yes consciousness is attributeless, obviously. A.k.a. nothingness. (But not literal nothing.)
  22. Wishful thinking. You're not thinking clearly in this matter. You're emotionally dogmatic and irrational with that position. I mean come on. "Suicide is always a dumb decision. Never be suicidal." That's like those fanatic anti-abortion people who go crazy only because their fucking emotions go bananas.
  23. Nice. Me too. High five. People often don't understand how pathetic some people can be.
