  1. But if this nonduality stuff is true, doesn't it mean that if you read a "external" book, you are actually just reading yourself and discovering more of yourself? All happening internally, inside yourself, directly. So then it wouldn't matter whether you do it internally or "externally". The thing you first label as indirect (reading a book), could cause something which you label as direct.
  2. I wasn't thinking about validation. I was thinking about: 1. You said that there's more facets for you to discover. So maybe the book could reveal new facets? Who knows. 2. You are updating your book list every now and then. So maybe you could add that book to the list, if you think that the book is good.
  3. But what if that's you being closed-minded? I'm not saying you are, but is it possible that you are? (I don't know the answer).
  4. Thank you for answering. It would be cool if you would read it. You can download it here for free, because it's not copyrighted: https://www.perfectbrilliantstillness.org/book/ (Scroll down a bit for the whole book).
  5. @Leo Gura Have you read the book "Perfect brilliant stillness" by David Carse? I'm just curious.
  6. Many of the teachers disagree with each other. Leo says "those other teachers are so fucking wrong". And the other teachers say "Leo is so fucking wrong". So how to know who is right? I don't know. So my position is: I don't know.
  7. Okay.. good for you.
  8. No it doesn't work like that. You can't tune out by sitting and doing nothing.
  9. All you people who think that professional help has a 100% success rate should make notes of this case. Don't just ignore all the cases which you don't want to believe is true. @Person0 I'm in a similar situation. I agree that life is cruel. Unfortunately I have zero advice to give. At least our lives will probably end some day. Let's hope that eternal return isn't true. It would be seriously bad if it would be true. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_return "The concept of "eternal recurrence"––"the idea that all events in the world repeat themselves in the same sequence through an eternal series of cycles"––is central to the mature writings of Friedrich Nietzsche."
  10. I should probably add (for those who haven't read about my stuff before) that I'm currently not suicidal. But sometimes I fantasize about making a sudden unplanned spontaneous suicide, but I think that the risk (chance) that I'll do it in the near future is low. @PepperBlossoms Thanks. @snowyowl Thanks.
  11. Anyway.. According to NDEs, being physically alive limits you. But I don't know anything.
  12. Anyone who is alive who says "survival is ego-stuff", "you need to transcend survival", "survival is bad and selfish", etc. cannot be taken seriously. Because obviously they are surviving, because they are alive. It's like someone would say "I'm not speaking". Um.. yes you are. The fact that you say that proves that you are speaking.
  13. Not everyone experience a NDE when they "die". But it's a interesting video, yes. I have it saved as one of my favorites.
  14. I disagree about the neutrality. There's nothing nice about being neutral, it's the opposite. In WW2 Sweden helped Hitler. And 17 neutral countries (including all our then-neutral neighbor countries) got invaded in WW2, so neutrality doesn't save you. It was other things that saved Sweden. One of them was that Sweden helped Hitler. (Not a conspiracy theory.) Human rights and democracy must be defended. And no western country can do it alone. Together is strong. Unity over separation. During the cold war Sweden had a secret alliance with US (this is not a conspiracy theory. It's not a secret anymore). And now Sweden is a member of EU, so Sweden officially isn't truly neutral after it joined EU in 1995. Officially Sweden is just "militarily unaligned". Sweden should stop being a fool, and selfish, and join NATO. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of Estonia: "If we want to improve the security of the Baltic Sea region, there is a lot we can do, the most obvious steps for that needs to be taken not by Estonia but they need to be taken in Stockholm and Helsinki." (He of course meant that Sweden and Finland should join NATO).
  15. Supermodels aren't especially attractive. This thing about supermodels is weird. It takes me 2 seconds to see a much more attractive woman on the street or at work.
  16. It's a small insignificant country. But we take lots of immigrants, especially from middle east.
  17. Which I don't. I'm naturally hardwired to not be social. Not everyone are social, nor can become social. Or are even likable. "Just get a social circle. Easy peasy." Facepalm.
  18. Impossible request again. Completely impossible. You're projecting yourself and your life on me. I literally can't meet 5 women and 5 men in a week.
  19. I guess I'm a 5, and I can't get a gf who is 5. So I'm involuntarily celibate.
  20. Sigh, this is hopeless. "Just get a social circle with 150+ people and go out all the time." Might as well say "fly to the moon by flapping with your arms."
  21. I'm in the middle. I wouldn't be happy with anything. And I don't require a 10 either.
  22. Okay. He also often puts his hand on his heart when he says "thank you". I've never before seen a muslim do that, but I guess every time has a first time.
  23. @Emerald So should I prove to you and everyone else that I'm a true incel? How can I prove it? Any suggestions? Oh yeah you will demand that I do things that are completely impossible for me. Literally impossible. You can't accept the fact that some people are unable to do some things. And I think that's the problem.
  24. @Emerald It's not possible to meet every woman on earth. And also being a incel doesn't mean that you should take any gf, no matter how unattractive she is. I wouldn't want a gf who is a 1 on my attractiveness scale, it would be impossible. I guess now you can say "see, you're not involuntarily single". But I wouldn't demand a 10 either. And a gf wants the guy to think that she's attractive.
  25. What a solid piece of evidence that there doesn't exist a single incel on earth. Not. That argument is based more on emotions than on rationality.
