  1. @Leo Gura, why would anything get bored? Its infinite love..? Its INFINITE LOVE. INFINITE! And you said it gets more & more loving infinitely, so how does boredom arise from this? Why pursue god realization if only to become bored again? Are you saying that realizing absolute god is the highest pleasure possible within human understanding? (Beautiful video by the way, words cannot depict its value & inspiration)
  2. Well said. I never thought of it this way. Thanks
  3. What's my motivation to become a better person? Commutative influence combined with intuition.
  4. One more insanely profound quote I recently epiphanized is: "Everything that is, only is to this." It's hardly fathomable.
  5. Thats all up to you. Some good questions to ask yourself & contemplate would be: - Why does it have to be either, or? - Why am I attached to commitment? - Why am I attracted to manipulation? - Am I ok with the manipulation? - Why am I ok or not ok with the manipulation? - Why am I ok or not ok with casual relationships? - Do the reasons I use to answer why, feel like excuses or whole-hearted answers? - Why can't I accept ____? - Why can I accept _____? - Am I considering all options? - What would someone who's got this figured out be doing?
  6. Here's some flaws & biases in Leo’s teachings to take note of. To maybe not take too seriously: These may also be possible biases amongst everyone: He does not take into account experiences that he refuses to try because of his biased perspective. “I’m not going to try ____, therefore I don’t know what _____ will do for my psyche or how it will affect my teachings, way of life, & other biases.” EX: "I will try one form of abstention, being fasting. However I will not try certain abstentions or ideas, because of my personal biases." Because of these examples of bias, how can anyone truly know anything with certainty?
  7. What is this urge to desire a community rather than remaining alone? Why does it occur & what are some good questions to ask to see if its valid & true to my values? It's not a desire, it feels more like an intuition or presence. It's an urge/need, & its urging me to develop community & create socialization amongst others. This is in direct contradiction with spiritual teachers who advocate isolation & overall loneliness.
  8. This is only one part of the infinite. While it may be extremely complex & profound, it is only so to the form we use to understand it. To understand infinity in its entirety is to not have any limit to anything, including biases, perspectives, EVERY. THING. So while these understandings are quite amazing & worthwhile, they are not remotely close to the whole. Not even a sliver. It's the crumb of the crumb of the crumb, etc. To understand infinity from a place of only limits is to understand nothing. What can someone really explain in a finite form? Nothing. You can't even point towards it. And yet it is infinite, so it includes all. It is the greatest truth & the greatest paradox there is. Why can it be understood? Well that's not possible to fully explain finitely. The only way to know is to understand all. It's so contradictory, it goes full circle.
  9. @flume I'm glad they brought you some value
  10. Hmm, perhaps a better explanation is; because it is infinite, boredom must be included in it, & you are simply that part. You are the result of the bored part of the infinite. This is remarkably specific. If this is true, what are the odds ended up where you are? Seriously, that's insane. It's perplexing just to think about. This explanation doesn't do infinity's understanding justice.
  11. Although the reality of the truth can be harder than the comfort of the lie. It is through this realization that we can actually create a kind of world where we don’t need to hide behind a lie to feel comfortable. - Earthing Ed Since the beginning of time, spirituality and religion have been called to fill in the gaps that science did not understand. - Dan Brown There cannot be a limit to any limit within reality. - Leo Gura Don’t worry about what you get. Worry about what you share. - James Marshall There are certain things in life that can’t be proven, but are true. - Leo Gura It's impossible to know what the truth is without knowing what the truth is. - Leo Gura To whom much has been given, much will be required - Unknown Integrity reveals beauty. My own quotes: You don’t care about what people think of you. You care about what you think of them. You can’t miss that which you don’t know or never existed. An infinite perspective can only help a limited perspective so much. Everything that is anything is nothing & everything, all at once. You die when you feel OK with being alive. There is no definite gender role, there is only you. There are no experts. To know anything is to first create it. Acceptance transcends all. Success is not without comparison. Understanding is what creates value. The only fear that is, is the unknown.
  12. Is getting to know someone the best way to connect with them? If so, why? If not, why? What are other ways of connecting deeply with someone? What are your thoughts?
  13. Fred Rogers is an interesting character. While obviously biased in ways, he seems to have a very enlightened understanding of the world. Where do you think he's at on the chart & why?
  14. There's maybe an ideal style of relationship for absolute good, it's just hardly existent, if at all. Jealousy & overall extreme selfishness are what I see to be the main flaws in most modern relationship styles. The ideal relationship of good would perhaps be a relationship what factors in all that a friendship has, except with sex, & no ego. Essentially no expectations. This would be a world where there wouldn't be "an ideal healthy relationship", it would be more like an open-relationship amongst everybody without the unconscious jealousy & selfishness.
  15. The way I've dealt with this myself is taking action with awareness. If you notice yourself struggling with something that you want to be better at in life, contemplate & ask yourself why you're not social. Notice the immediate reasons & possible excuses that come up. Do this questioning in a spiral, all the way down to the core reason you think you're struggling. Now ask yourself, "how do I feel about this reason? Why do I feel that way about this reason? What can I do to feel ___ about this reason? Why do I want to/not-want-to change this feeling? ", ect. Once you have that, do your research & find out what things help best to remedy that reason. A potential question to ask is "What would the person who is where I wanna be, be doing to remedy this situation?".
  16. What are the exceptions when it comes to situations & understandings involving an "All or nothing" mindset? I've noticed its common advice within lots of self-development teachings to not steer in the direction of having an "all or nothing" mindset, as it can lead towards a path filled with multiple problems. Why is this? I understand that ideology can be a serious problem, though this "all or nothing" mindset seems to be practically inevitable in some cases. Some examples: - Veganism (All Plants, No Animals Whatsoever) - Meta Absolutes (Truth Or Not, No In Between) - Limited Elements Of Reality (Genetics, Immune Function, - Love v.s Fear - Moral v.s No Moral - Purpose v.s No Purpose - Healthy v.s Unhealthy Nutrition - Longevity v.s Death - Stress v.s Relaxed - Angry v.s Accepting - Sad v.s Happy Notice how some of these have very preferable options, almost to the point of becoming abstinent of its opposite. Of course, I am biased towards these in some sense, though some of these are seemingly universally impracticable to choose its opposite. Now you may think; "Its all about balancing these to your own personal importances, & therefore finding your own personal exceptions." I'm struggling to do this because of so many contradictory options. For example, I'm currently vegan. Not for moral reasons, but primarily for environmental & health reasons. Within our modern world, environmentally & health-wise, veganism virtually checks every possible box. Though this is an "All or nothing" way of life..? I'd love to hear new perspectives as I feel very lost in this regard. Thanks
  17. Where does sex hold a place within an enlightened or awakened person? Has sex become abstinent after a certain point of enlightenment? I realize this depends on the person greatly, however I'm asking as a general consensus. For example, do monks or enlightened people as a general populous become generally abstinent of sexual activity? I'm seeing within self-delepment teachings that sexual desire eventually transcends & becomes a lesser importance. Is this to say that it becomes unutilized? What replaces it if so? To what point does sex become useless, undesirable, & without any true worth?
  18. @Logan Thank you

  20. So I've had these mushrooms laying around for a little while now, & I tell myself I won't take them until I'm at a healthy level of emotional development. I also tell myself I won't take them until I have all my egocentric inconveniences aligned into a balance amongst our culture. I fear if I take them, I may have some sort of permanent realization, & start sabotaging my life thereafter. As though, I will start to become lazy & see things like money, relationships, & overall culture as a lot less important. I want to still have the capability to work my job, do my regular self-development, meditate, & all other things I did before taking psychedelics. It seems as though fear is a crutch I'm holding onto for dear life & it's happy to stay right where it is. What are some possible reasons for a fear like this to come up? What are some good questions to ask myself to remedy this situation? What are your thoughts? Thanks for any help
  21. What is shame? How does shame work? Why is shame created? How do you transcend shame?
  22. That page is hilarious
  23. Where do you think Bob Marley was on the Spiral Dynamics scale? While he was very idealogical, he still seemed to have lots of holistic traits & overall compassion for humanity as well. What are your thoughts?
  24. @Inva Much Obliged. Hope you found it useful
