  1. To fully actualize we must renounce ego. All of it. Completely. Many many many of Leo's topics are about one thing: how to be successful. Being successful in this world often times leads to a bigger ego if you're not careful. Are we to give up on being successful and live in the moment, come what may? Or do we seek success and eventually fall into ego-death, once we have lived a "full" and "meaningful" life?
  2. Yes! The best way to gain experience is through failure, if it is not perceived as failure, but another possibility.
  3. Is this ok to do? I am not intentionally restricting my diet. Its all i can afford. I have been doing this for about 3 years. I am maintaining a healthy bmi and never get sick. Are there long term effects i should be concerned about? I eat a 3 egg omlette with 3 slices of turkey and a premade 7 grain rice side every night before bed.
  4. I was in deep meditation and suddenly I felt the weight of someone else pushing me down into the tank. This wasn't possible because the door locks from the inside and the tank is filled with 7k lbs of salt and 3 ft of water. There was no way to sink, but it felt real. Can someone who has done this (floating) please explain??
  5. Basically, all you have is your interpretation of reality at this current moment. If you spend time fantasizing or deluding your interpretation you are going to waste your life. Focus on what is. Not what has been, will be or could be. Remain in the here and now
  6. Leo's latest video is all about moving from low to high consciousness and therefore increasing awareness
  7. Two words. Money changers. Jesus got pissed off because the money changers were making money by hiking the prices of things that were required to participate in the passover festivities. He walked in like a boss and started flipping the tables over and yelling at them. They had it coming, but that was a dick move. I take solice in this because even though it was a jerk thing to do, it wasn't counted as sin.
  8. Meditations by marcus is a good one, and so is Letters from a Stoic by Seneca
  9. My entire life people have told me i need to work on focus. What is focus? Does it actually exist? Seriously im getting tired of hearing this and wish i understand focus. My focus seems to ebb and flow. Is this normal? I am not easily distracted when i enjoy what i am doing. I don't enjoy movies because a lot of times i have only seen half of it. I will fall asleep or find something else to do. Meditation seems thwarted because most of the time it ends in sleep. Any suggestions?
  10. Claymation? Mime? I don't know, you've really shut down a lot of communication potential. Maybe the answer is to put up with it so you can show the world your genius. I mean, what if Edison gave up on electricity all together because he was wasn't fond of wires? Suffer through that tedius bullshit and show us what you got.
  11. I encourage you to try wearing fiberglass underwear, then tell me if this statement holds true. Or you could eat Styrofoam for a week. Really though, this is a stoic belief. Check out Marcus Aurelius if you haven't
  12. Can the desire to produce ego death inhibit the experience of ego death? Desire is caused by ego is it not?
  13. I agree. I feel like the ego will do everything possible to protect itself, even fake its death. Is there some way to sneak up on ego to premote ego death or do you just sort of bash it into submission? Maybe the answer is 5meo-DMT like Leo suggests.
  14. Leo constantly berates ego. Leo takes mystery substance that causes ego death. Leo becomes god. What the actualized fuck? Maybe he should consider more testing. Im no scientist but should it have had a different outcome? It seems like after taking the substance Leo's ego may have compensated for the temporary lapse of control.
  15. True. Yet Leo plans to tell everyone how he did it. If i were to just click on the next video in the series next week (as im sure many people like myself intend to) i could potentially learn how to become god. It could be detrimental to my well being as i do not have the self control, intellect or experience that Leo does. I am not yet Leo, i guess. More testing please. Existentially I am nothing. Existence is meaningless
  16. "I AM YOU!" Reading this gave me a warm fuzzy feeling that I wasn't expecting! Thank you for explaining this
  17. I don't know you personally but you seem to identify with your faults. My question is: why? You are not your faults, your "unhealthy thoughts" or your "inability to take initiative" (which I'm not buying by the way) you have the ability to take initiative. You started this conversation, right? Its as simple as that. Picture something you want to do. Do it. Don't listen to the thoughts telling you that you suck. Hear them, and let them flow through you like a current passes through a copper wire. But dont you dwell on them for one second. They are just random bits of garbled nonsense to you. Think of it as a radio. When you listen to the radio, there are songs you like and songs you don't. You rock out to the ones you like, you know them by heart. The songs you dont like you tune out, and probably havent even heard them all the way through. Let your thoughts be the same way.
  18. @DimmedBulb From reading your other posts, it seams that "specialists" have spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what's "wrong" with you. My suggetion is to throw all of that out the window. Doctors make good money telling people they are broken or damaged just because the person doesn't fit in the "social norm" catagory. It's now your job to find out what you are good at, what excites you. If nothing comes to mind, then congraulations my friend, you have a world of opportunity! Go try new things, not just once or twice, but really let yourself get immersed in something. You seam pretty bright so try a spectrum of things like art, music, math, science, videogames, athletics, mechanics, physics, astronomy, culinary, ANYTHING! You have an open door. Nobody's perfect. Everyone has some kind of strength. Find it. Use it. You are a miracle just being here right now. Go do something awesome. You seam very pessimistic. Some of the brightest people I know are. What people dont tell you is that pessimism can be used as a strength. Pessimists try to see every angle, so they often times pick up on what others miss. This is a good thing that you might be able to use.
  19. So... Dont be. Make a conscious decision to not be avoidant. It wont be easy. But it is possible.

  21. Sounds like you need a little tenacity. Remember that courage is not the absence of fear, its being afraid and doing it anyway. Also failure is the only way to gain experience. Edison is quoted saying "I have not failed, I have found 10,000 ways that it won't work." Keep pressing!
  22. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Theres a good audio verion of it on YouTube read by Duncan Stene
