  1. Re-watch Leo's video "awareness alone is curative" or watch it if you haven't. It has some good advice on how to deal with this kind of issue. Also, his video on "how to deal with confusion" may be helpful. https://www.actualized.org/articles/how-to-deal-with-confusion https://www.actualized.org/articles/awareness-alone-is-curative
  2. I disagree, respectfully. The point of mindfulness is to fully engage in the present moment. Emotions are a very powerful tool if used correctly. Don't drop emotions. Let them flow through you like electricity through a conduit. Observe why they are trying to alert you, and decide to take action or not. Respond to your emotions methodically. Do not be reactive.
  3. The question is actually "How to live a life as a narcissistic human being" (no offense to you, we all are). The tree doesn't question if its purpose is fulfilled. A dog doesn't question how to be a dog. Look to these for wisdom. Be the tree. Be the dog. Just be. There is no more to life then this. Just be. It is amazing! Stay in the present moment. Thinking about the past or future is a waste of time, you can't control either. You can't really control the present either (not really) so why not make peace with it and just be?
  4. Mindfulness like any other skill is learned. Practice makes perfect! Try being mindful a little more than you are comfortable each time and soon you will become a master at Mindfulness!!
  5. It is all reality because you generate external and internal consciousness. It all begins and ends with you. Oh and "you" don't actually exist. You created that too. "You" are a figment of your imagination ?
  6. There is a huge difference between intelligence and wisdom. There are highly intelligent people who are profoundly ignorant (maybe due to their intelligence) and there are very simple minded people who are profoundly wise (maybe due to their understanding that they don't have all the right answers).
  7. "Do not be offended by the ignorant, because they don't know that they are ignorant." -Marcus Aurelius
  8. Re-watch leos video about how to deal with confusion. Realize that "control" is an illusion. Reality unfolds exactly as it should -and its the only possible way it can be. Understand that you have absolutely no influence on reality and imbrace it. Enjoy the ride.
  9. Yes. It is equally unhealthy to allow your emotions to control your actions. There needs to be a balance. Use rationalization, but allow your emotions to flow through you like electricity through a conduit, not resisting them but embracing them and letting them go. Use your emotions rationally
  10. "You existed before the big bang" This statement is widely accepted. Why?
  11. I am leaning towards another reality. This "reality" is likely not base reality, more like a simulation. That's why we are so determined to awaken. I am not 100% on this, but i like the idea. Maybe it's dangerous, i don't know. It explains everything nicely. Think of it as a game. You enter the game when you are born and exit when you die. You don't understand why you have to play or how to play, so you look to other players and past games to get an idea. The game has been going on for so long its origins and rules are forgotten. We are all trying to get back to start position. Base reality.
  12. @Leo Gura how does one experience this? 30mg of 5meo up the nose? (Not mocking)
  13. After watching the video, i still have questions. The video focuses on deep regrets and fogiving yourself for your past wrong doings. It sort of glosses over bad habits and seems to tell you to embrace them, because if you don't, they will destroy you. It makes alot of assumtions about people who had bad habits, rejected them, and then later found themselves in deep shit. Are we to simply accept our bad habits or evil traits or whatever you want to call them because we are victims of fate?
  14. Do you have more information about this process?
  15. I want to do shadow work. Im not sure where to start, but i know it will greatly benifit my well being. Any suggestions?
  16. Very helpful, thanks ?
  17. To gain fishing skills, go fishing. To gain social skills, go socializing

  19. I do the same thing, the same way everyday. I know what i want to change and how to do it, i just need help finding motivation. Any suggestions or motivational techniques? Im not unhappy, just ready for change.
  20. Blocked for copyright reasons in the US. Thanks for the reply though
  21. I find fiction books hard to read. I get so immersed in the story that my mind shuts off and i end up daydreaming. I usually forget what i read and have to reread several times. This frustrates me, so i avoid fiction. I dont have this problem with nonfiction or self help books. It all comes down to personal preference. Also, you are not obligated to finish a book. If it turns out to be terrible, stop reading. You have time to find the right book, and there are billions to choose from. Pick up a book and enjoy, don't over think it. "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius is my favorite.
  22. Just. Be. Pooh.
  23. See Leo's rant against the pickup community video. You only have to watch the first five minutes and you will find your answer ?
  24. Willpower is a muscle. The more you use it the stronger it gets
  25. Stop being reactive and start being responsive. Then choose whether or not to respond. When you are reactive people can use it against you to string you along. When you are responsive, you hold the power.
