  1. Charisma! Be genuine, and direct. Be decicive. Be Responsive and not reactive. Sincerely, Not an actor ?
  2. @Loreena Interesting! I wonder why you have this reaction? I am not bothered by the image, even with the brightness all the way up. I suspect that it is psychological for me, as in: Loreena is bothered, so I will not be. I don't know. The image looks kind of like an embryo to me. I think it is neat!
  3. @electroBeam stop establishing value to things and just be content. @Loreena turn the brighness down on your monitor ?
  4. He was uprooting traditional Jewish ways. It was a nod to the success of his new religion, Christianity.
  5. Complacency. I am here to be useful, helpful and to learn and grow. If i become complacent, I've given up and it's all over. Also what @Nahm said.
  6. Intersting! So a consequence of language may be that it is culturally rooted and generational. Another consequence may be that some fucking language is is fucking prohibited. Am i getting close?
  7. John. I doesn't matter what I say. You already know the answer. If you are tired, stop. If you don't have the answer, be ok with not knowing, it will come to you. You dont have to be everything, just be! Breathe and relax! Enjoy the ride
  8. I have occasionally reached the point of non thinking. It is amazing to not think, and to just be. My ego wont yet allow me to remain in this state for very long
  9. One of my favorite quotes that has helped me a lot: " You wouldn't care as much what people think of you if you realized how seldom they do." Eleanor Roosevelt
  10. Stop judging youself and others! Check out leos video about judging others if you haven't already. Also look at the video about childhood vows. You are Already awesome! Just let it show
  11. nar·cis·sism ˈnärsəˌsizəm/ noun excessive or erotic interest in oneself and one's physical appearance
  12. @blazed dammit I was gonna eat that soup! Love you!
  13. Im an American who was raised by narcissistic parents. Its part of my culture. Upon studying self actualization I am realizing that it's not all about me, and that "I" don't actually even exist! Im taking steps to reduce my ego Such as: Not projecting, recognizing how I judge others and that im actually judging myself, forgiving myself of all my failures, embracing not knowing, accepting reality as it is, staying in the present moment, being radically open minded, etc
  14. Yes. But im getting better ?
  15. @Leo Gura the important thing to remember here is that Bach wrote a Symphony called "Air on a G String"
  16. A person can enjoy music without identifying with culture behind it. As in: "I enjoy metal, but i am not a metal head." You might be called a poser or fake or whatever. So what? You are allowed to like what you want.
  17. I like it because it causes me to be aware of the Shadow. All of the "negative" aspects of life are a part of reality and it's foolish to ignore them. It's not all i listen to though
  18. I think metal is great! Look at it with the goal of seeking Enlightenment. It forces us to contemplate death = good. Its loundness and offensiveness forces us to consider/reject mainstream thinking = good. Its tribal rhythms and mechanical sounds envoke a trance state that can lead to higher consciousness = good. That being said not all metal is equal and cathartic. Take it with a grain of salt. Imagine that it is the horror genre (like in movies) for music. Not all horror movies are great either. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DxRoSL0kdQFk&ved=0ahUKEwiz9u-6vovSAhVHzFQKHSmpDAAQ3ywIGzAA&usg=AFQjCNFbpUp8ttYmMvTxuwKtvkywOkhqDg Dont know how to attach files. Heres a link to a clip from "The IT Crowd"
  19. Self actualization, maybe. Consciousness work, definitely! Look for leos videos on higher and lower consciousness and awareness. Also the Enlightenment videos helped with my ocd which is almost nonexistent now
  20. Thats up to you! Maybe set up a reward system. Also, take timed breaks. Work for 2 hours, break for 15 minutes. I find timers to be extremely helpful. Set a goal to accomplish a certain amount in an hour, then surpass your goal. Caution: speed without accuracy is nothing.
  21. I am very angry when im asleep. I say hurtful things and have even become violent at times. I wake up and have no recollection of doing these things. I have worked very hard not to suppress emotions yet this horrible practice continues. I'm beginning to think that deep down inside im a ginormous asshole. Is there anything I can do to stop this maddness? I'm afraid i might hurt my loved ones!
