  1. What if I find that boring? Am I doing it wrong??
  2. That’s all you going to say? You got juicy beans to spill! Tell me more! What is karma and what does it say about being authentic?
  3. That’s not the point. The point is experiencing something remotely called nonduality would not be spoken of without interpretation and belief. It’s not that direct experience is impossible, it’s that experience necessarily comes with stories thereof. Of course someone who believes that wouldn’t be open to the idea that nonduality could be directly experienced. They know that they couldn’t believe in it even if it were directly experienced. It’s an intrinsically stubborn realization, the realization that outside of direct experience is all story. And to boot, who’s to say direct experience is even true?
  4. Put this way then of course I’m god why wouldn’t I be? Aka, something tells me this definition of god Is not the definition op had in mind
  5. Leo said is not a belief because it’s what you’re directly aware of. But that’s the thing - it is a belief. What I’m directly aware of has no belief, sure, but as soon as I comment anything at all about the experience, I got belief. Calling it actuality is a belief. Calling it consciousness is a belief. Calling it direct experience is belief. Commenting that it’s not belief is belief! Calling it god is belief! Naming it at all is belief!
  6. Infinity can expand. Imagine that infinity is nothingness. It’s limited by itself - which is, not at all. There is no limit to how far nothing reaches. As soon as you find the furthest limit you realize there is more beyond it. it’s not already at maximum because if there were a maximum there could be further beyond it.
  7. Oh so I have to interpret an experience? Sounds like belief. Even I don’t exist and I’m experiencing my own life. I wouldn’t believe in you even if I was directly conscious of your life. Existence of the self is an illusion; I’m just as imaginary as you are
  8. You don’t exist. Only I exist. Everyone else is just imaginary! I’m all alone. There’s no way for me to confirm or deny the existence of others. I only knows my life and not yours. Surely that means there is no one but me!
  9. What is the substance of consciousness? What is consciousness made of? What’s the ultimate “thing” of existence?
  10. Passion is any strong or compelling emotion or feeling
  11. I was thinking about limits and the limit of the universe is nothingness. Nothingness limits itself because it is nothing. There is nothing beyond the limit. The ultimate limit of the universe is nothingness. And I was thinking about consciousness. When I investigate the self, I find emptiness, formlessness, silence. I look into myself and I find nothingness. So the limit of consciousness is also nothingness. And I was thinking about nothingness and realized that nothingness is not existence. Nothingness is nothing. Existence is isness. Nothingness is the absence of is. They are two! Yes? no? What are your thoughts on nothingness? I heard it said that in the occult they value duality as much as nonduality. I keep that in mind. I’m all about duality it’s petty rad even if it is illusion
  12. I believe in nothing but I don’t know it. How do I know nothing limits the universe? That is belief. How do I know consciousness is nothingness? That is another belief. I jumped the gun on this post. I didn’t think about it deeply. I didn’t do the work myself.
  13. Did you know octopus are incredibly intelligent? And the interesting thing is, only a third of their neurons are in the brain. They can think with their arms - their tentacles can think for themselves.
  14. Because of separation. There has to be degrees of separation in order for the universe to have appearance. It’s the illusion that you aren’t god. Lowered consciousness to experience diversity of life.
  15. If you’re looking for more profound discussion, maybe start threads. Like this one. Ask simple questions and you get simple answers.
  16. An illusion is something that appears to present reality a certain way, but in the end it is appearance. Hopefully I posted the image correctly. It is two triangles over top of each other, but actually that is only illusion. There is lines that outline what would be the triangles, but there is no real triangle, no three sides complete. The illusion is what appears to be there but is not really there. that is how illusion works. sorry if I’m telling you something you already get
  17. What kind of philosophical teachings are you talking about?
  18. Do you now ? Truth is in the present moment only and once it’s gone it’s only memory. You tell a story about direct experience and then say you aren’t believing in it !
  19. @Adamq8 it’s all belief. All knowledge is belief, faith. The only truth is the present moment, the now. And you veil it in delusions! See that you believe in nonduality, you “know” it just like you used to “know” your fictitious self. All I’ve said here is belief. Can you not see that? There could be a separate reality. It’s possible nonduality is nothing but mental masturbation!
  20. Energy is only known in the now moment. Outside of that, it does not exist. There is no sexual energy, no sun energy. That is an illusion, a story you tell yourself. Energy only exists in the present.
  21. Yoda is right. Trying is an illusion and doesn’t exist. Trying is the effort you put towards doing, whether or not you get it done. But do you get it done, or nah? There is no try. Just do. Do in steps if you have to.
