Laying the groundwork first with the mindsets. Do you have any suggestions for the hard financial material? I want to learn both.

I currently have Think and Grow Rich, I'm reading it after I finish Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I am looking to see if there are well-made courses on the subject though.

Here in the Corruption Perceptions Index, New Zealand is ranked number 1 as the least corrupt country in the world. https://www.transparency.org/en/cpi I actually live in New Zealand. Would this make New Zealand the best country to help you self-actualize?

I was bullied during primary school (up to 10 years old) and have always struggled to make close friends rather than people to just hang around. The relationship with my parents is also somewhat complicated. Not in the sense that they were abusive but it involves subtle manipulation and codependency. I don't feel like I have full autonomy over my life because of their subtle guilt-tripping methods and expectations of me. The bullying and the subtle emotional manipulation from my parents resulted in a huge shadow in purple. I don't judge or demonize anyone despite them having a "low-consciousness" because I can understand why (yet I don't participate in their gossip or fights). But It's hard to find like-minded people that are piqued by the same interests as mine, ones that would be seen as uncanny by the majority of my age group. Having two and a half years of high school left doesn't help much either. How can I learn how to make and keep friends? Or socialization in general? Are there any books on it?

@martins name Thank you very much! I'll be trying this out.

Aren't pretty much all academic careers that require you to go to university a Stage Orange pursuit?
-
@Rilles @Human Mint I think it's Purple. Lack of community and connection. @Mada_ Where could I start?

This is true, though a lot of monks (whether enlightened or not) are at Stage Blue. -
It doesn't have to be this way. There doesn't have to be a trade-off. An Orange would perform much better when surrounded by like-minded people with the same/similar values and vision. Cutting off community that won't benefit you is something that should be done to actualize Orange, but that doesn't mean you need to sacrifice community as a whole. Again, being surrounded by like-minded people can be huge in how well Orange is actualized, but it's very rare.

Thanks @Darlisto @aurum@mmKay @mmKay Self-Love or self-love? How can I cultivate either of them? I've watched Leo's video on Self-Love. But if I have this craving to make friends, wouldn't it be a practice of Self-Love if I were to satisfy it? Knowing my parents, this seems quite unlikely. But I do hope that this will be the case. The second stage in Spiral Dynamics. Involves connection with other human beings. I can enjoy time with the people I hang around, but I just lack that deeper connection. I will practice loving myself and being my own best friend, thanks for your advice. I had tried sharing some of my opinions with my parents and they thought I'd gone crazy. Using clichés like "You're only 15 you'll understand later". They're religious fundamentalists so they thought I was attacking their beliefs when I was simply trying to invite them to new perspectives. So from then on, I haven't really been sharing anything at all with anyone. I feel pretty lonely, but I think it'll pass as I learn to love myself. I don't think so, but I'll look into it. Maybe I'll realize something I wasn't formerly conscious of. I feel like Stage Orange wouldn't really be lived fully without the integration of Stage Purple. The stages stack on top of each other and Purple would feed into the effectiveness of Orange in my opinion.

I know, but there are different depths. @Leo Gura Is this accurate? -

Yes, they are different. But in one way or another, they do have some relation - the higher up the spiral you are, the smaller your ego gets, the more likely you are to be enlightened and/or have mystical experiences. How would they have the deepest Truth with ideologies and dogma in place? From 65 Core Principles of Living The Good Life - 1. no ideology and no dogma of any kind. Would it be possible for a stage blue enlightened person to be as enlightened as a stage turquoise (deeply) enlightened person? -
@Applegarden True. A vital principle of mine when doing this work is to only look at theory as an invitation to a new perspective, nothing more.

What is the best way to integrate all the stages in Spiral Dynamics? Namely, Tier 1 stages. Could it generally be categorized like this? Beige - Health and Nutrition (meditation, diet etc) Purple - Friends and (functional + non-toxic) Family Red - Assertiveness Blue - Discipline, Values, Purpose Orange - Success and Financial stability Green - Compassion for everyone and everything Yellow - Radical openmindedness, Systems thinking, Grey thinking (not black and white)
-
Hence the stages in Spiral Dynamics, no? Good luck! I hope all of us can.

@LearningPodo I’m in the same situation but in high school. My 2 cents; This is an opportunity for you to develop a very rare and valuable skill; jumping between lenses Don’t judge them for having “low-consciousness”. Integrate it, understand them, understand why they do what they do, why they talk about what they talk about. But to not let it distract you. Practice assertiveness, ground yourself in your vision, values and principles. Focus on breathing whenever you find yourself getting distracted. This is a very good opportunity to practice discipline. The more ambitious people may have been a lot more beneficial to your growth, but you don’t need them. You can cultivate skills to be able to adapt to any situation, this will take time. We’re on the same boat man, two and a half years to go ?

For what? Your Life Purpose? Yes, that’d be amazing. Hope his health gets better ? Let’s be realistic, most of us can touch Turquoise’s ass but will probably never fully be Turquoise in our lifetimes. The list I made serves is hard to solidify by itself, and it serves Turquoise as you’d need a solid foundation to handle Turquoise. I just added Yellow despite it being Tier 2 as most people that follow Actualized.org hold some Yellow values, but are not fully Yellow and need to integrate lower stages. It can take decades.

Leo has been saying this too. We have two core avenues, awakening AND development, not either or. To even awaken often requires development, it’s rare for people to suddenly awaken. Even then I believe that one would still have motive to develop themselves. -

Hence, non-duality I’m interested in how they complement each other. I can intuit that they do, but I can’t really come up with that many examples other than a deep spiritual awakening not being possible with denial of basic needs like money and relationships. What are examples of them complementing each other? @Emerald
