  1. @Moksha Was he homeless during those 3 years? What motivated his profound need to transition into doing? It just came spontaneously?
  2. If we were to become conscious of the duality between self and other being an illusion, how does our Life Purpose still make us feel satisfied and fulfilled? Why does it still feel good to have an impact on "others" through our Life Purpose when there is no such thing? Is it because "others" are you? So we naturally want to improve every manifestation of reality as if it were our own creation?
  3. @Leo Gura In some ways I feel like spiritual work can hinder pursuits that are conducive to survival. Business and survival requires at least some level of manipulation doesn’t it?

  7. @Javfly33 What makes you assume this to be the case? Why does something have to be "real" (whatever that means to you) for it to have value? What makes you believe that you can't have fun with an illusion? I'd contemplate that.
  8. That's true. Survival also demands us to breathe in spite of knowing if the air we breathe is toxic for us How have you made peace with the realization of this @Leo Gura? If we were to really "transcend survival", wouldn't we be dead by now? Even with the idea of transcending and including? Survival fundamentally has fragmentation, opposite of Truth. They're antithetical to each other.

  11. @gettoefl That is exactly what I am saying. What do you mean "belief becomes truth"? When a belief is directly experienced to be true, it is no longer a belief. If that is what you mean, then we are in agreement. Just wanted to say: notice how we have exactly the same number of posts lol @Gabith Is "it" you?
  12. @Nahm Thanks for using images Isn't everything? I don't really see what's going on. I don't understand the parent's role in relation to the kids. And what is the "self" that my thoughts are thinking about? It doesn't exist?
  13. @Leo Gura In actuality, all we have is our present direct experience. The future and past literally do not exist if we don't think about them. How do we plan for the future knowing that we don't actually know if there is a future to be experienced? The future is a belief. When we are strategizing about the future - or sacrificing enjoying the present moment by doing anything out of extrinsic motivation in hopes of "getting something" in the future - aren't we just putting all our faith in a concept (the future)? Almost everything that is conducive to our survival is based on belief. It is a belief that - if I were to jump off a bridge, I would die. It is also a belief that my parents had sex to create me. It is also a belief that if I were to murder 50 people, I would go to prison for life. All these beliefs are necessary for our survival. But they are just beliefs. Would you call these things "useful beliefs"? Can a belief be useful?
  14. @Leo Gura Is life like a video game? We know that video games are an illusion, yet we still enjoy them? We could say that humans have a need for growth and having a purpose in life because of our evolution. But that's just an idea/theory in our heads. Not actuality.
  15. @Nahm When do you know that the "I-feeling" has been firmly established? What do you mean by "process of being than doing, of effortless being rather than effort to be." Is it like the concept of Wu Wei? Flowing through life? I don't quite understand this analogy. Who are the parents and who are the kids? My mind and my spirit/muse respectively? So I enjoy it because it is my own manifestation? @Adamq8 Can you elaborate?
  16. I have allergic rhinitis. That comes with sinus congestion basically 24/7. Because of this, I have to breathe with my mouth, and I can’t really do Yoga properly. How can I do Pranayama exercises when my nose is always blocked?
  17. @Average Investor I've had both of those. Quercetin helped with sneezing and runny nose but not blocked nose. I don't know if licorice root powder did anything. @Harikrishnan Where did you find a practitioner?
  18. I think it'll resolve once I fix my gut issues... hopefully. I should've emphasized the degree to which it is blocked. I know that our nose alternates nostril blockage every few hours. What I meant by partially blocked is that I need to exhale and inhale with as much force as I can for any air to come in/out. My nose just sounds like steam going off. I can't breathe normally with it. @Leo Gura What type of SIBO do you have? I gotta deal with combined hydrogen & methane and I am looking for a protocol with a high success rate.
  19. @Leo GuraI think that my gut problems have a role in this. I have a lot of food intolerances. When I go carnivore it seems to get better. It goes from being completely blocked to being partially blocked. But it's still there. @Harikrishnan Woah that's pretty cool dude. Where did you find a practitioner? @Girzo Antihistamines only improve the runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing for me. It doesn't help the blocked nose at all.
  20. Could you elaborate on this? Why don’t we all aim to be mostly in the dimension of being like a monk? Would you say that as we spiritually develop ourselves, we orient ourselves more towards Being? True. It’s all about the process. When it comes to meditation retreats however, the process is seldom enjoyable. What would you say about the act of forcing yourself to pushing through a meditation retreat as a means to an end (e.g. spiritual progress)?
