  1. @mr lenny Yes, it does work and WITH TIME it will ride you all the way to Classical Enlightenment.
  2. With my personal experience I can say that most psychologists/psychiatrists don't know what they really are doing. If you want really deep personal work you need to find better alternatives.
  3. When I had my first taste of enlightenment, I was scared as shit. Like shaking and questioning my sanity. That's normal, a lot of fear will arise in this path.
  4. @ishaq I struggled for like a year. Now I'm meditating for a year without failing one day. How I did it? When you realize the importance of doing this practice it will be effortless. Many people here try to force things in their lifes, every time that you struggle it's is because you don't really want the thing. When you realize the value of whatever you want, you will chase it effortlessly.
  5. @Ross Go to parties and pickup girls.
  6. @Gabriel David Gomez Get enlightened and taste what you are saying otherwise it's just mental masturbation.
  7. @spicy_pickles What's wrong with that? Emotion it's what moves you.
  8. @ishaq Daily meditation.
  9. Nice! Daniel wrote a book called Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha also. Very insightful. But I prefer Culadasa style of practice, mastering the jhanas instead of practicing dry-vipassana like Daniel suggests.
  10. @Random User No, you are just being neurotic. Just chill.
  11. @PsychedelicTraveller No, you are not enlightened. You are developing samadhi, but far away from enlightenment yet.
  12. I would like to see Leo talking about the Feminism movement.
  13. @IVONNE Because of your toughts.
  14. @joegarland Brother, this is a big life decision. You must think very carefully about this. Being alone all this time and just meditate is very hard. I think you should babystep it. Go to longer retreats, spend some weeks alone to just meditate, but don't go all in because I don't think that is a smart thing to do. You must prepare yourself to this.
  15. @Actualizer I watched the Spiritual Enlightenment video and a week after that I had my first glimpse of the truth. Most beautiful thing that happened in my life and that's what motivates me every day to do the work to become fully liberated.
  16. @growthaboveall This very normal, don't freak out, you're not going crazy. You are purifying your consciousness. Just keep the practice.
  17. @WhoisJon Actually I think that to have success in this practice you must have this "micro" mindful moments in your daily life. When I started to do this my mindfulness started to develop more quickly.
  18. I like Shinzen Young and Daniel Ingram.
  19. @Algi Yes, but not in the way that you are thinking.
  20. The best way to resolve this in the short term is seeing a GOOD therapist. And of course, keep meditating.
  21. I changed my college course to medicine because of this. While I'm doing meditation and enlightenment work I'll be doing research about this because I think if that is possible it can be the solution of most humans problems. Check James Austin work, he is a neurologist that wrote many books about meditation and the brain, it's pretty cool.
  22. @Jan Odvarko Both techniques do the same. They increase your baseline of mindfulness that with time brings you the no-self experience.
