  1. @Trevor Herrick First of all you have to take responsability for what is happening to you. This is essential and the most difficult thing that you'll do. Realize that no one can help you. But when you realize this, things are going to get better.
  2. @Cammy For me it happened after doing Self-Enquiry a year ago, it was like 15 seconds maybe more, but still best moment of my life. I was literally shaking and crying after. But all this experiences pass and you have to do your laundry.
  3. @abundance You can choose an object and focus on it, the most common is your breath.
  4. @Kuba Yes, usually fear arise many times in this path.
  5. @Josh2 Man, you have to find what works for you. There are many postures out there. I like the burmese position.
  6. @dice @dice Make sure that you meditate when you are rested, so sleep well. Check your posture, mantain your body aligned.
  7. @YoungSeeker I did. This is normal and it's good for your motivation. You had a little glimpse of what Enlightenment could be, so use it as fuel to do the work towards Full Enlightenment.
  8. @Kserkkj Man, you need to relax. This is not a sprint, it's a marathon. Enlightenment with the big E, usually takes effort and time. You are here for the long run. Self-Enquiry is just another form of meditation, you can't say that it's better than others, because you are developing the same skills as the others (concentration, sensory clarity and equanimity).
  9. @Chuck Man, you have to ask yourself what you really want at this point of your life. If you want a girl right now, go for it. But keep meditating.
  10. @dboyle Man... If you are REALLY desperate for having sex, go for it. My first was horrible because I didn't like the girl, so choose wisely.
  11. @Raquel Since childhood we accumulate so much bullshit that prevent us from feeling true love, but when the self falls away, love appears. Love is our natural state.
  12. There is no shortcut. You just have to do it and the fear will dissipate,
  13. @Happiness Maybe you are in the Dark Night Territory, maybe not. Anyway my advice to you is to practice Samatha at least one hour a day to get joy and equanimity. And find another things to distract you besides Enlightenment and Meditation.
  14. @Beam Are you talking about the "Do Nothing" technique? It is a great technique and with time can take you all the way to Classical Enlightenment. But stick with what works better with you.
  15. @myLife Yes, all kind of phenomena can occur in meditation (visions, old memories, strong emotions, deep insights) but the important is not get distracted by them and stick to your technique.
  16. @Feeble Dave Try to focus on the pain.
  17. @Elton You need to keep practicing, the expressiveness will come with time.
  18. @Birdcage But if you want to get weight you can, just eat more or track your calories.
  19. No. I like skinny girls.
  20. Meditation can help developing compassion and love.
  21. @isabel The basic stuff. Watch Leo's videos, Meditation, instropection...
  22. @Pearl_Eve I know people that overcame this "disorder' as well Depression and Anxiety with Johrei (Japanese Technique).
  23. Do the work towards Enlightenment and these questions will be solved.
