  1. @YoungSeeker Definetely it's a phase. Keep practicing and you will have equanimity with don't know. Life naturally is beautiful, just the fact that you are conscious is a blessing. But sometimes our mind and our delusions get in the way of this fact.
  2. @Andrea Marchetti Because I know that with time my suffering will diminish until there's no more suffering in my life.
  3. @Aamir King Man, there are 4 stages of Enlightenment: Stream-Entry, Sakadagami, Anagami and the last one: Arahant, a person that is totally free from suffering. If you are defining Enlightenment as Stream-Entry, I know many people that are in this stage, and I have no doubt that is doable by anyone who puts time and energy in it.
  4. @Mr Lenny @Telepresent Do-Nothing is a very good technique and you can do just it to get Enlightened. It's a classic path to Enlightenment. It's known as Dzogchen, in Zen as Shikatanza or "Just-Sitting", Krishnamurti calls it Choiceless Awareness. So yea, it's a powerful form of meditation.
  5. @fanta Man, for what ayou described this sounds "Dark Night" territory. I suggest that you a find a decent teacher to guide you. Check Daniel Ingram maps also.
  6. I think its funny that most people that are "certainly correct" abou these thing aren't enlightened and don't know anything about the maps of the path.
  7. @Hardik jain you cannot stop thinking because there is no you to stop thinking.
  8. @adrian284 Yes, just when you are still it's more easy to achieve concentration and mindfulness. And most benefits of meditation are achieved just by not moving the body.
  9. @adrian284 To evolve and achieve significant results I would say minimum 45 minutes daily of sitting (formal practice), mindful moments during the day when you can, and at least 1 retreat a year.
  10. @Xpansion Do you have experience with psychedelics?

  12. @10001110101 Meditate a lot and have time for self-reflection. With time this issue will disappear.
  13. @Ready Hey, welcome! How is your practice?
  14. @Kserkkj There's a point in concentration practice that both you and the object disappear and you see your true nature.
  15. @Prabhaker I don't agree with you. Samatha-Vipassana (Concentration + Insight) are great tool to gain insight. I personally know people that attained insight just with concetration practice.
  16. To get enlightened you have to forget about concepts. Just do the work. Philosophy won't you enlightened.
  17. @Epiphany_Inspired In my experience, there are many people that get lost in this journey "healing the gut". But actually what they have are emotional issues, and these affect directly the gut, not the other way around.
  18. @Carlos I would suggest that you raise your meditation session to at least 45 minutes. That's where you can get cool results WITH TIME. Go slowly and don't beat yourself up, the key is consistency. Check the book "The Mind Illuminated" by Culadasa.
  19. The question that you have to ask yourself is: What am I? And try to find "yourself" in your direct experience. This is a way to enlightenment and it's called Self-Enquiry. Meditation is another great tool.@Cesar Alba
  20. @AlwaysBeNice do you think that psychedelics are good for healing trauma?
  21. @Kevin Dunlop Usually they help you become enlightened. And that's the greatest thing that one can do for humanity.
  22. @Joe Zhou Find your passion and follow it. For raising awareness? Consistent meditation practice, check the book "The Mind Illuminated" by Culadasa.
  23. @Kvath Be more selective. Read information that you really need.
