  1. @Andrea Marchetti theres nothing you can do. Trying to find something to fix is the the thing that keeps the issue going on. Move on with your life. Find things to do that you like, meditation etc...
  2. @retardedhorse1 You have to understand that it is a form of interpretation of reality that you've adopted, nothing more. It's just a tought about reality. It's neurotic thinking. Trust me, I've been there.
  3. @retardedhorse1 Your way of thinking is the problem. And it is the reason why you are 15 years in this state.
  4. @retardedhorse1 I've experienced it. It's a thought pattern + anxiety feelings. It's nothing more than that. #neuroticisim
  5. @Epiphany_Inspired Meditation. Read the book "The Mind Illuminated". The secret of dealing with fear is NOT fear the fear and panic. They are just emotions, yes we don't like them. but they can't kill you.
  6. @Henrik_Sahlen If you really want the ultimate goal of meditation that is freedom from suffering, you will face a lot of shit. Keep your chin and your practice up and try to remember that all states of being, no matter how strong an impact they make on you, are temporary.
  7. @rush There are many paths to enlightement. I think that many enlightened masters did Strong Determination Sittings. It's a great tool because pushs the envelop of your practice, forcing you develop mindfulness.
  8. @RossE After stream-entry (first Enlightenment phase), all doubts about Awakening are erased and you get this knowning that sticks with you forever. It's a deep insight.
  9. @bflare meditation. Minimum 45 minutes a day, consistently. Try samatha-vipassana. With time depression will vanish and it will become a joke.
  10. @LaucherJunge Hey man, try to sit in burmese position with a cushion. Check out this guide: http://liveanddare.com/meditation-cushion/
  11. @Epiphany_Inspired I think that the best method is meditation. Because with time it will make you more conscious that most of your problems are BULLSHIT.
  12. @awareemptiness No. You can have relationships and work on Enlightenment.
  13. @kundalini Congratulations, you crossed A&P. Now prepare for the Dark Night.
  14. @SaynotoKlaus If you are advanced in samatha-vipassana meditation you can feel like an Enlightened person, but it's just a simmilarity and dependent on conditions. For example, If you don't meditate this effects will reduce with time. Enlightenment is permanent, don't depend on conditions and it's unnafected by aging, disease, innability to practice. sorry my mistakes in language. For more informations check the book "The Mind Illuminated" by Culadasa. You can have MANY benefits just with practice before getting Enlightened.
  15. @awareemptiness @RossE Shizen Young also says that if he were only allowed to teach one technique would be "Note Gone" according to this article in his website: http://shinzen.org/Articles/PowerofGone.pdf It points you to the same place where Self-Inquiry points.
  16. @InsidesOut Have you read Culadasa's book "The Mind Illuminated"? It's fucking awesome, very dense and with precise instructions.
  17. @fanta They are maps that can show you on what stages of the path you are.
  18. There is no cure for that. It is not a disease to have a cure. They are behaviors and tought patterns, and the thing that helps changing behaviors is meditation/awareness. So meditate a lot.
  19. @Ariel There is no right way of living. Just do what feels true to you.
  20. @DoubleYou If we are using the term "Enlightenment" to refer to Stream-Entry, which is the first path, when it happens you realize that never was a thing called "you" inside your body.
  21. HPPD is very rare and usually comes from abusive use, like using psychedelics multiple times a week. And the problem isn't itself HPPD, it is usually anxiety.
  22. @Orange Usually when masters talk about Enlightenment or Awakening, they are refering to Stream-Entry, that is the first experience that changes you deeply, the first path. There are 4 stages of enlightenment: Stream-Entry (Sotapanna), Sakadagami, Anagami and the last one: Arahant.
  23. @Yarco I think Shinzen Young calls it Subconscious Processing. If you focus on it , soon you will "see" the source of it.
  24. Just do it. Don't trust your fears.
