  1. @MoneyTime Meditate at least 45 minutes a day and go to therapy.
  2. When you awake, you realize who you really are, you self-image and your beliefs are seen how they really are. Illusions. Projections of the mind. Empty. Then peace comes and life flows naturally. But don't try to understand it, meditate. It is the way.
  3. @rorghee Read the book called "The Mind Illuminated" by Culadasa.
  4. @Miguel Oliveira You are not the only one that feels this way. This is a common issue in our society. I suggest that you stop trying to make this connection, because it's unnatural. These kind of connections happen without "trying", they just happen in the right moment. You can't control them You are just neurotic, as I am, as 99% of this world are. Some more than others. My advice: meditate at LEAST 45 minutes a day, everyday. Talk to someone that you trust, open up, don't be afraid of judgements. Seek a good therapist (psychologist).
  5. @wavydude If you want to solve your issues you must take action, follow my advice strickly, doing everything that I said. Here are my advice: - Talk to someone that you trust. Open up, don't be afraid of judgments. Tell EVERYTHING that's in your mind. - Seek a good qualified therapist (psychologist). Depending on how this issues are impacting your life he will send you to psychatrist to prescribe you some medication anti-anxiety. That's completely normal and can help a lot. - Meditate at least 45 minutes every day in samatha-vipassana style. (You can learn it from a book called "The Mind Illuminated" by Culadasa.) It's basically focus on your breath while simultaneously being mindful of what are happening in your experience. Read the book for more info. If you follow these advice you will solve your issues.
  6. @The_spanish_guy Seek a good psychiatrist (consider the possibility of taking antidepressants they can help you), go to therapy and meditate heavily (at least 45 minutes a day).
  7. @Maya_0 Focus on the breath with mindfulness. But it's very nuanced because you are not just focusing on the breath otherwise it would be pure concentration practice. He teaches samatha-vipassana (concentration + insight), and it is divided in 10 stages, that are very well described. Very methodical approach, I like it. The book is called The Mind Illuminated.
  8. @Maya_0 Very interesting experience. I'm practicing samatha-vipassana acording to Culadasa. I find it more enjoyable than mahasi dry vipassana. Have you ever tried it?
  9. @TRUTH_SEEKER Open up with him about what you are feeling. I think that's the first move. If that does not solve it, go to a doctor.
  10. @Maya_0 I'm meditating also for some time already, and I'm starting to have this experience spontaneously during the day. I can't find a "doer", just things happening with no one "doing it", toughts, movements, actions etc...
  11. @The Monk More Consciousness = Less Suffering For You + More empathy with the suffering of others
  12. The guy knows what he's saying. I know people that did the course and got stream entry (Location 1). I saw testimonials of people even getting 4 path (Location 4). If I had the money certainly I would do.
  13. @John My advice is: just stick with the technique.
  14. @carlos flores Probably he should open up with someone, talk about his issues. That's the best way to solve this kind of issues. Meditation = Long Term Solution, it will require daily and consistent practice.
  15. @Garuda I always meditate before bed, nothing wrong with that SINCE you are not falling asleep constantly in your sessions, and trying to maintain stable attention + clarity.
  16. Shinzen Young, Peter Ralston, Daniel Ingram, Kenneth Folk and many others...
  17. @jennywise When you get enlightened you will know for sure, all doubts about the path are erased when you enter the stream.
  18. @jennywise The issue is that you THINK you know what Enlightenment is. Nothing is more precious than the freedom that comes with awakening. This freedom usually manifests in the "world" as love and compassion. But you have to get the thing done to know.
  19. @Don_Avocado Cool. Keep practicing and get the thing done.
  20. @Don_AvocadoFor what you describe, I think your first experience was the Third Jhana. What do you think? http://www.dharmaoverground.org/dharma-wiki/-/wiki/Main/MCTB+The+Third+Jhana
  21. @Andrea Marchetti If you think that this is meditation related, find a good teacher to guide you.
