  1. @Gesundheit I fundamentally disagree with your definition of entertainment. You define entertainment as necessarily being highly stimulating and fast which it needs to be in your definition because that's the only way it can overwhelm the mind and bring it to unconscioussness, essentially. For me, the problem in your definition is that you think, that entertainment can only happen when one is unconscious. I can observe myself listening to good music or watching a good movie and feel the joy it makes me feel, arise in me, while at the same time being conscious and aware of my experience, for example. Have you never experienced that? Also, have you never been entertained by something that is slow-paced? I don't know wether you know about psychedelic drugs but these drugs, in my opinion, also prove that your definition is wrong. If one takes LSD, one doesn't become less conscious. In fact, it is highly probable than one becomes more conscious for the duration of the drug being in your system (and possibly afterwards). But at the same time, one might enjoy music, movies, art etc a lot more than usual (movies might be too stimulating in fact (which also goes against your assessment of entertainment needing to be as stimulating as possible) but every psychonaut I know, can attest to the highly enchanting nature of good music while on psychedelics). Psychedelic drugs like LSD are like a short-cut to a full blown consciousness and mind expansion and yet many things can become very entertaining. How do you explain that with your definition of entertainment? Lastly, I found the way you reacted to @Thestarguitarist14 once you found out that he is an artist rather, idk, rude? You basically dismiss his opinion as biased because he is an artist. We are talking about entertainment after all and art, music, movies etc are all, in my opinion, maybe the highest forms of entertainment (although art is more than mere entertainment). Hearing that he is an artist, makes me personally more interested in what he has to say about the topic of entertainment, not dismiss him casually. Not to offend you but to me, your response seemed to be quite condescending and like an intellectual/spiritual ego trip.
