Its not just that to be honest The reason his Israel position is how it is is because of his underlined "Western bias, especially American bias" He also seemed to be ok with overthrowing Gadaffi which to me was a massive massive mistake and although I agree with his stance on Ukraine, he totally fails to take into account the Russian survival agenda Basically it is Western exceptionism, especially American The idea that America is right in what they do and they are immune to mistakes You can feel when he talks that his loyalty is to USA instead of truth Which is why to me it is suprising why people give him so much time and attention on foreign policies matters when you have far better commentators I will agree however that on internal policies within USA he seems much better and actually can factually challenge MAGA and all the White Christian supremacists that exist within USA

I feel like currently USA is overstreched with aiding Ukraine and also aiding Israel and the gulf on the war with Iran Especially when it comes to air defenses which are getting used at an insane rate, higher than it takes to replenish them I wonder if China will use this time to attack as USA's response will be limited

To me Israel first in theory sounds like a good idea However it is fundamentally selfish and very biased Israel is the idea to give Jewish people a state, which in theory sounds great considering how much Jews have been persecuted especially in Europe However, the core fundamental issue is that that state was created at the expense of others who were already living there for centuries It is the idea "lets give this dude a house because he is homeless but he ll take over half the house of someone else who has been living there for decades" Was it their land originally? Perhaps I am no expert However, the way it was established and the location to me was not right Perhaps creating it in a non populated vast area like Russia or Canada or Saudi Arabia would be better idea Basically Europe who dominated the world at the time after treating Jewish people like absolute crap for 2000 years, felt bad and decided to carve up some land for them while totally ignoring the needs of people who were already living there because they did not consider those people worthy of even being listened too since they saw them as a mere colony. And it gets even worse considering those people who got screwed over did not even participate in the 2000 years of Jewish oppression. -
Yes it is more Stage Green which to me is closer to Truth than Stage Orange They can see devirly on every actor, including their own That is the core difference They may be unrealistic in terms of actual solutions but at least their assessment and analysis of the situation is far more objective in my opinion Its just their proposed solutions are not realistic When it comes to understand devirly and survival situations of different actors to me Stage Green (although not perfect ofc) is still better than Orange Orange seems to basically say "USA good", "Russia, China, etc bad" Too simplistic.

You can use the same argument for Jordan Peterson, he is a psychologist firstly Same for Dave Smith who was a comedian Destiny has a huge platform and he seems to be included often on this forum which is why I made a post about him And just being right on Ukraine (even though with a super pro Western lense on assessing the situation), does not mean much Issue is caring about ur pro Western biased views rather than Truth when you get millions of views is problematic.

I do not know to be fair, better ask the person who created the thread. But it is very clear to me that they do not consider the act to be immoral or wrong which is the core reason why They may give some legal bs justification but the core reason is that they do not consider that action to be wrong if it was done to someone they consider to be a terrorist. If it was done to another Israeli soldier or a UN peacekeeper etc (hypothetically), the reaction would be very very very different. To them "who it happens to", is much more important than "what was done to them". -

I know which is why I said the military establishment instead of saying the entire country. The military establishment operates on the Blue-Orange framework, according to everything I have seen from them. One great example is the phrase "1 Israeli deaths should be avenged by 50 palestinians killed". This type of mindset. It was said by some top guy in the military too. I am sure u have many Israelis civil societies and people who are more Orange to Green. But when it comes to Palestine specifically I have noticed even normally Green people suddendly become blue I am not going to argue why they are as they are, I am simply stating assessing their level of development. Every entity has reasons to be at the level of development they are. Why do you think Gaza's leadership is much more hardcore than the West Bank? -

To understand that you need to understand the psyche and moral development of the Israeli military establishment and big chunks of Israeli society In Western countries, stage orange to green societies, we think that torture is wrong. Murder is wrong. End of story. In Europe you have many people arrested for terrorism charges, people who literally killed dozens and they were treated within all international law norms, not abused nor tortured nor starved. That is because Europe, especially Western Europe has a stage Orange/Green level of moral development However, Israel is different They may be technologically and intellectually very advanced but their morality is more akin to Stage Blue (majority of cases) or even Red (in some cases) So to them, a terrorist is someone who deserves to suffer, who deserves to die They do not hold the idea that all humans should have fundamental rights that protect them from torture or murder regardless of what they may have done. To them someone who either is suspected or actually was involved in the murder of their people, should suffer Which is why such acts happen and why everyone is on board with it I have seen a debate in Israeli TV where a more morally developed debater said "we cant do this to people it is just wrong", and the other debater said "do you know what that person has done". Basically, if you hurt us, we will hurt you. Now many humans think like this, even in more Orange countries. However, the state institutions fundamentally do not allow this because the institution itself is advanced enough to understand that torture is wrong and it should not become normalized in the society as it can cause huge problems in the overall society. In Israel that is not the case, which is why the entire establishment is ok with this From what I understood, that person who was raped was a suspect (either proved or not) of being involved with Hamas To Israel, a Hamas fighter or sympathizer=A Nazi who wants to kill them simply because they exist, pure evil. Russians do similar thing to Ukranian prisoners of war, torture is very spread there because they view Ukranian soldiers, especially Azof soldiers as anti-Russian fascists similar to WW2 Bandera gangs And since the Russian morality is similar to Israel's , they torture them and starve them etc and the whole military establishment is ok with it. There were also examples of torture on the terrorists that killed hundreds in Moscow in 2024. Ukraine who is slightly more morally developed than Israel or Russia, does not torture in the same way Russian POWs even though those Russian's basically went to Ukraine and did tons of war crimes. Note: The key is not whether someone is indeed a terrorist or a nazi etc but HOW they are perceived by the ones that torture them So in the case of Ukranian soldiers, they may not be anti Russian fascists but to Russian soldiers, they are. The key is not whether the prisoner who gets tortured is guilty or not, evil or not. The key is whether a society is morally advanced enough to not rape, torture someone who they BELIEVE to be those things. To show restraint and act accordingly to the international basic convention of human rights. Hope it is clear. -

I notice a lot of people who are drawn to these theories tend to to not believe in democracy and fundamentally think others are sheep that are controled by forces hiding in the shadows. To me it shows low trust in others, lack of trust in democracy and the idea that evil trumps good. -
Hello I have been thinking lately, especially after rewatching Leo's videos on Spiral Dynamics and the 9 ego stages series about something I have noticed something which I personally find very disturbing So even though the world is much safer than lets say 100 years ago, there are still conflicts going on One of them is ofc the conflict in Gaza since 2023 which has so far killed at least 71.000 people What I have noticed relative to other conflicts, despite the insane amount of footage, statements and reports/investigations is the insane amount of denial and rationalization I see If we take for example the genocide in Rwanda, the atrocities in Sudan or what is going on in Myanmmar, there is an overall collective understanding that they are wrong and that the parties commiting them are not very good actors. So, most people would agree the rebels of Sudan or the interahamwe in Rwanda were bad actors that did bad things What happened is awful etc But when it comes to Gaza, I see a lot of people defend the actors that did the bad things I see a lot of rationalizations, a lot of defensive mechanism and biases Some of them absolutely shameless Why is this the case? People will defend the IDF without any sort of shame, say everything bad is an accident or not intentional etc I have not seen people defend for example the rebels in Sudan this way Even though the evidence is insane (arrest warrents by ICC, tons of reports by every credible organization, footage, genocidal statements by the Israeli government etc) Now whether it is a genocide can be discussed Whether it is better or worse than X conflict can be discussed No issue there But to simply state that the IDF did bad things and is guilty of bad things is still not agreed on a consensus like lets say the rebels of Sudan is Why is this the case? Why defensive mechanism, co-opt of logic and rationalization, everything Leo talks in "Self-deception" gets triggered by this conflict and not other conflicts. It is a lot of people that seem to love to defend this conflict, much more than people that rationalize Russia's invasion of Ukraine for example I would like some ouput Thank you

Very interesting article I checked on the school bombing in Iran some days ago that killed up to 170 childreen https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/3/questions-over-minab-girls-school-strike-as-israel-us-deny-involvement It is quite long but there was a cruicial piece of information to take into account which I will copy paste from the article: "The Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab is part of a broad network of schools structurally and administratively affiliated with the IRGC Navy. These schools are classified as nonprofit institutions and are primarily intended to provide educational services to the sons and daughters of members of the IRGC Navy. Registration messages posted on the channel on the Iranian messaging app, “Baleh”- a channel dedicated to communicating with parents of pre-school children at one school in the Shajareh Tayyebeh network – show that admission procedures give priority to the children of military personnel. In more than one announcement, the children of IRGC Navy members are explicitly invited to attend on specific days to complete first-grade enrolment, with another notice stating that registration for children of non-members opens on different days. However, this administrative link (to the IRGC) or the identity of the parents does not change the schools’ legal status as civilian facilities under international humanitarian law, unless they were being used in military operations." Basically, since they were used by the childreen of the IRGC navy, to Israeli low moral development they become fair game and hence a worthy target to be bombed I already had doubts that Israel would do this. Basically do a relatively "clean" war when it comes to the general Iranian public but when it comes to clear targets that are connected to the IRGC in any way, they will employ Gaza like tactics Because to the low development of the Israeli military psyche, anything related to an entity that hates them, is fair game So, if the IRGC hates them, any family member of the IRGC is fair game Pure devilry... -
This is what causes people to massively hate on Israel. Pure evil How do Israelis justify this to themselves? It is totally morally rotten and disgusting I have never seen them properly try to weed out this behaviour, it is always brushed aside.
-
Well that is your weird bias. I do not think most people including myself really care if a massacre happes in a music festival or in a forest etc. It does not matter. Equally bad. So if Hamas killed those people in a non music festival you would be less offended? That is so weird... Israelis want more land and are expansionit and you see it happen every week.
-
I am talking about Gaza because that is where the current events happened. West Bank is another topic and conversation. Different actors, different situations etc Many Arab states have started to move towards recognition of Israel. The biggest obstace is Palestine statehood which Israel always ignores. That is an expression created by Likud Party, it is an Israeli phrase, not Palestinian. Again, you are projecting. I have no skin in this game, I am neither arab nor muslim nor Jewish nor Christian nor African. I want the same. If Israeli right wing parties started seing Palestine as a legit entity rather than deny its existance and cherry picking history it would help. The core issue is that Israel project is expansionit because they view that entire piece of land as theirs. As long as that is the case we will not have peace, especially when the expansionit entity is 100x stronger. Why doesnt Israel say that "Judea Samaria" can go to another country? Why arent they happy with 1968 borders but want more land via illegal settmennts Why should all the responsaiblity go to Palestine and Arabs when Israel is the one actually expanding. I have not seen Palestine take over any Israeli land. Only Israel does that. Not to mention also in Lebanon and Syria

The West Bank is not that hostile no? I dont get the hate there. The way Israelis treat them is insanely brutal and inhumane and to me it seems much more bully like.

I am sorry but this is extremly biased and not objective You clearly have an extreme pro Israeli, anti Palestinian outlook which affects you writting this text full of double-standards I will deconstruct it for you to explain why I am saying this: "Gaza brought this upon themselves with Hamas’s outrageous October 7th attack. This started with their act of violence and violence is being brought back on them" First, there was never true peace between Gaza and Israel, there were always some small scale fighting and every year Gazans were killed by Israel. Not to mention an illegal inhumane siege. No country would call that "peace" but for Gazans it is "good enough" since as long as they do not die in the thousnads "it is all fine". Imagine if Saudi for example killed every year 200-300 Israelis and you call it "peace". Also, I can easily easily flip the script and say "Israel brought October 7th upon themselves with their outrageous siege, occupation and bombing of civilians every year". "Palestinians have shamelessly called for the genocide of Israel for decades. Then they cry the same is happening to them when their violence has consequences. Palestinians don’t want peace. They want to guilt trip the west into letting them dominate." This screams of projection. It is the ISRAELIS, especially the current political parties that have been against a Palestinian state for MANY YEARS now. They literally do not consider Palestine to be a place worthy of statehood. Then when they get attacked they cry when their outragous policies have consequences. Israelis dont wqant peace, they keep expanding with the Greater Israel Project. Especially these right wing lunatic governments and illegal settlers. It is Israel that is expanding, not Palestine. Note: I am not justifying nor endorsing any violence from any side. I am simply flipping the script to show you how biased you are. Please man if you follow Leo's work try to do some basic contemplation before writting such insanely biased possts. Are you Israeli by any chance? Or a Christian Zionist? Or a white supremacist? Or an islamphobe? Only one of these types of people would write such a thing.

1. Industrial scale farming will be seen the same way as the Holocaust is seen by our generation in my opinion. As pure evil. 2. The process of visas and denying entry to people who want to study/work/live in another country. I believe in the long term future open borders will be a thing. 3. Having to pay for health care, education, electricity and other basic necessities. 4. Lack of an universial unconditional income, the idea "if you want to eat, you have to work". 5. The illegality of psychedelics and the whole stigma around them Some that came up to my mind -
This is key! I feel like Israelis are seen culturally as European (and half also ethnically) because so many came from Europe and the European ones seem to be overpresented in the governments So it feels like it is an European country Which is funny because they claim to be indigenous to the Middle East yet also claim to have European values Which one is it
-
I get that but to be honest this sentiment was there even before October 7. Look how many countries did not recognize Palestine before October 7. I feel it is used as a scapegoat to rationalize the irrational support for Israel amongs powerful actors and forces like politicans, tech CEOs, medias etc.
-
It killed 1000 people and the IDF killed like 100.000 at least if we count previous wars. They have members in their government which speak as such. And there are as many defending Israel too, something I do not see people do for the rebels of Sudan for example. I do not see 2 hour debates about that issue. I do not see so many world leaders defend or rationalize it nor medias sugar coating it The hate Israel gets comes from actors that do not have any power, from activists, NGO or random citizens that protest. The actors that have actual power do an insane cover for Israel, people like Starmer, Biden, Merz, Farage, Trump, Musk. All the media top people, the top tech firms and political leaders. There is a clear agenda here.
-
Jews have been arguably the most persecuted group in history by Europeans and Israeli is basically a Jewish state Russians, especially ones in Moscow and Saint Peters which are seen as the opporesor Russians are White and look how much hate and sanctions Russia got. There is defenietly a racist anti Islam component here but it does not explain everything How would you explain what I wrote above?

What do you think of the Shah? I am curious to get an objective perspective from a fellow forum panelist that is from Iran and lives in Iran -
If not proper genocide we can agree it is at least ethnic cleansing attempt which is pretty awful still I notice people seem to think something is "not that bad" if it is not a genocide Israel has attempted ethnic cleansing and done tons of wars crimes, that much is pretty evident at this point What a lot of people that jumped into this wagon miss, is that there was already an insane amount of dehuminization and hatred from Israelis towards Palestinians before 2023 The previous conflicts involving Gaza were extremly brutal and full of war crimes too Not to mention the West Bank settlmenet terrorism and an overall distain I see many in Israel (especially in military and government) have towards Palestinians https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/aug/17/israeli-general-aharon-haliva-palestinians-7-october-gaza This sort of attitude created what is now Gaza You would not have this attitude if for example Iraq attacked the USA This is a long going tree of hatred that has been growing for decades and this is the output It is especially mind blowing to me when I see in interviews in Israel people who are overall pretty Stage Green suddendly say hardcore Blue stuff One interview the guy was like "Yes we like all people, all races, animals etc" but Palestinians should die or be kicked out" I am sure if I went there as an European agnostic even though I am not Jewish I would be treated well and everything Yet for Palestinians specifically their morality seems to greatly devolve to a super harsh toxic Blue It is very interesting to observe. Note: I am not saying every Israeli wants Palestinians dead or gone, I am saying that I have seen examples where people that otherwise seem pretty evolved suddendly flip. If a hardcore illegal settler for example says to kickout all Palestinians it is not suprising because he is a very stage Blue conformist person and that behavior is to be expected from him. What is suprising is when I see people who normally would be classified at Orange or even Green make such statements.
