I meant how they treated Jews historically for centuries before they decided to take most of their land cleanse the rest with 0 disregard. I got no issue with Israel being created as long as some care and thought was put on the people that had lived there for millennia. There was none You expect them to magically love you after you oppress, take their land then occupy them for decades? They hate your guts. No shit. -

Fighting against one evil does not give Jews the right to inflict it on innocent others. If you want a state make it in Germany, not on innocent Palestinians who had nothing to do with the Holocaust and treated you as good as any group ever has. -

Are you Israeli? You seem to have a slavic last name. I wonder what are people with slavic last names doing in a land where people are Arab. Or am I missing something? -

They have some of the best missles in the world including the new Oreshnik missle recently used in Ukraine. Also keep in mind Russia is basically fighting NATO in terms of intelligence, expertise, funds, weapons etc. It is obvious they cannot beat NATO 1 vs 1. What do you mean by corruption? But the USSR did and they defeated the Nazis which had steamrolled Europe in 1 year. More germans died trying to take a house in Stalingrad than all of France. Do not underestimate the Russia resolve and resources. -

That is a NATO funded Ukraine with the best weapons in the world, cooperating with the West in terms of intelligence 24/7, getting 200 billion a year worth of financial aid from the EU and weapons from the US, insane strong morale to fight, heavily fortified positions, high death toll from Ukraine too and Russia is still to do a full mobilization (meanwhile Ukraine may be forced to remove draft age to 18 from 25). So it is not "Just Ukraine". If it was "Just Ukraine" the war would have been over a long time ago. Which is why they are so scared of loosing USA s aid from Trump, they know on a pure 1vs 1 Russia would wreck them. Obviously Russia is no match for NATO as a whole, that much is clear. It would be wrecked in a war with Nato unless it resorted to nukes. But to just say "Russia cannot even take Ukraine on its own" is laughable Western propaganda which I am tired of hearing. -

They called the Bosnian thing a genocide when the death toll was far lower and it was mostly men killed. Here it is a lot more indiscriminate and higher death toll. That is why we call it genocide. -

Then why they keep voting for parties that DO belive in it? Likud party which is pro expansion and sees all that land as Israel had the most votes. It is good you do not see things like they do but I feel like most Israelis vote for parties which reflect those views. Or am I missing something? So 2022 election: Likud (32 seats ), Lapid (I assume he is not pro expansion? 24 seats), Smotrich the right wing fascist (14 seats and 8 more seats since the previous election), Benny Gantz (I assume anti expansion?, 12 seats), Aryeh Deri, seems like religious fanatic (11 seats). So yeah, you can see like the pro expansion parties getting 2x more mandates than the moderates. -

How do ordinary Israelis feel about the ethnic cleansing campaign Israel is currently doing on Gaza? -

https://news.sky.com/story/volodymyr-zelenskyy-admits-ukraine-cannot-remove-russian-troops-from-occupied-parts-13276155 Seems like war will be over in a few months. Trump will negotiate a deal. My predictions is that Putin gets what he has alongside rest of Donbass (around 20% of Ukraine) and does not go further. Keep in mind Russians want Odessa and basically half the country. So that would be a compromise from Putin side. Zelensky obviously wants it all and will loose 20% instead of half. That would be the compromise. Also no Ukraine in NATO but security guarantees. Another compromise. Any predictions? -
With online dating on top of going out it is doable if you are very good.

How do you see the war ending realistically? -

@Hatfort The amount of anti Russian propaganda I see regarding the Rubble is insane. Since 2021 there has been maybe a 30% devaluation. Other currencies like the Egyptian pound have had a 300 to 400% devaluation yet nobody says it is collapsing. Pure bias. -
Israel does not care about truth nor human rights yet USA treats it like its son. Does not seem like a convincing argument to me.

Where in Ukraine do you live? Unless there is a high chance of the front coming to where you live, I would stick it out for a bit longer. Trump will come to office, and there is a good chance it will lead to the war ending or at least a long ceasefire. Perhaps you can leave then. If you held on for 3 years you can handle a few more months.

Why is the West so obsessed with destroying Russia? Why not collaborate together against China for example? The West is ally with Saudi Arabia, so they got no issues allying themselves with dictators, it is not a question of democracy or not. Seems like there is some deep rooted anti Russian sentiment that spans centuries. Otherwise they could have made Russia an ally of the West long before this war became a thing.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cly2exvx944o So what will happen now I wonder? I made a similar thread in May when the prosecutor wanted the arrest warrants and now it is an official thing. Do you guys think it will hurt Israel international standing, its trade deals and overall reputation? I personally doubt they will ever be arrested since they are not forced to travel to the countries which actually have signed the treaty. Neither has the US.

Perhaps Western countries, especially European ones will distance themselves further given that Israel is officially ruled by a war criminal. Could perhaps lead to further isolation for Israel? Not to mention an awful PR for them. It is wrong to conflate Israel with Russia. Russia main allies are not countries that have signed the ICC treaty. Iran, North Korea, China to be exact. Meanwhile except the US, all Israeli allies have signed it. Germany, UK, France for example.

Biden seems to be going all out before leaving office. What do you guys here think Russia will do? -

RFK JR seems quite jacked though. -
I agree. It is because the general opinion is that most Israelis support the massacres in Gaza and they all serve in the IDF (hence potential war criminal). Only way for Israelis not to be so hated is to start protesting against the government about its atrocities in Gaza. Otherwise they will continue to be hated and discriminated. It is collective punishment in a way.

Hello So I am not American and do not know exactly how it works there. I saw that Trump won the popular vote, won 270 seats and also won both Senate and the House of Representatives. Also on top, he has some Supreme court judges which he appointed back in the day. What does this mean for the US? I know that in order to pass legislation, you need both houses to agree but he has both now under republicans. Does this give him power to pass legislation that he could not before? Is the Supreme Court the only body that checks him? Can he somehow corrupt that too? I know many here were against him becoming President, but I did not expect him to win everything. How will this play out? Also, so far what you think of the people he has appointed? I saw he put RFK Jr as minister of health or something.

@Fearey What about the supreme court? And anyone know this guy? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c937ndxvkggo

The Second Chechen war which lead to Russia fully annex Chechnya back into Russia after it had gained its temporary independence after winning the first Chechen war, was caused by a series of bombings in Russian apartment buildings. Up to 600 Russians were killed. These attacks were blamed on Chechen terrorists and it gave Russia the necessary excuse to go invade again. Although never confirmed, there is a lot of evidence that it was an inside job done by the Russian secret service. If Russia can do this, so can Israel. In the case of Israel perhaps they let them invade them on purpose by lowering their guard then made the situation worse by using their Hannibel doctrime (confirmed by Haerz) Personally I do not have an opinion whether Israel let it happen intentionally but I would not be suprised if they did. Especially their current fascist government with Bibi on top.

Do most Israelis support the settlements? What would you say is the proportion on Israel that supports it?
