  1. You can learn anything on the internet. The skill you want to master AND how to monetize it. Good luck!
  2. Agreed. I mean the blatantly unhealthy aspects of blue/red we are witnessing right now. This might be a way we are collectively getting rid of that shit to make room for the next stage of human development. Healthy blue and red must be integrated of course.
  3. Never liked the guy's music, but his worldview is very nuanced, holistic, and systemic... On a serious note though, my feeling is that this far-right backlash that we are experiencing in western countries right now might be the last stand for the collective stage blue mind which feels threatened by more and more emerging post-modern values and wants to keep things as they like them to see. After this whole shit show is over, room for a more integral perspective might naturally emerge. What do you guys think?
  4. Definitely! A big, mindful, satisfying shit
  5. Thanks for sharing these sources. Shinzen Young is cool for mindfulness and meditation advice, as well as Adyashanti. Byron Katie has cool stuff as well.
  6. Absolutely! For me with music, the more mindful I practice or listen, the deeper and faster I learn. It's also more enjoyable then coming from a scattered mind, which unfortunately happens often enough as well. Practicing mindfulness/meditation definitely must have had a big impact on my music creating abilities. I think all great artists apply intense mindfulness to their art, even if they are scattered in other areas of their lifes.
  7. Yeah that's also a way to look at it. The Tateian way to deal with it would probably be to toughen it out, which can work. A high level buddhist way maybe more like realizing that the pain and suffering that comes from it are illusionary. Depends on the depth of a Buddhists practice.
  8. Yes, until shit hits the van for Andrew. For example, his dick is cut off, he loses another limb, or he is accused of whatever crime and ends up in jail... (not accusing him of anything here). Then some Buddhist practice could be of help to good ole Tatymate
  9. It's two different domains. The one entails the domain of awakening to "higher" truths, the other entails the domain of survival.
  10. It was cheap for the time of year. But the point is, you don't need to go out into the wilderness with your tent and your hammock. I meant, just a nice place outside of where you usually live, in the countryside or something. But maybe that's not the thing for you to do at the moment.
  11. I recently rented a luxurious apartment with a sauna. In nature.
  12. Work in process for me, which I started in 2019. I'm developing a strong stage orange foundation by starting my own business in the profession I love most. I already had quite some stage green stuff in place, but having to make a living and wanting to do that with the thing you love really gets you in touch with the realities of surviving in this day in age. I like stage orange, it's fun! I used to demonize it as the stage green pseudo-spiritual hippie dippie socialist I was. I like integrating stage orange, and can see how this, combined with a solid stage green, can lead to some nice tier-two stuff in the future. Good luck to you!
  13. Go into nature for a week or weekend. Reflect. Or if things are worse for you, get some type of therapy. Sometimes the most beautiful visions and purposes come from the greatest suffering. Wish you all the best with your healing process.
  14. After watching this video, I wrote a list of things I tell myself which aren't helpful. This was very insightful for me. I tell myself a lot of negative shit, including the "I'm tired" thing. It doesn't matter if somebody is a materialist or whatever to derive value from what they're saying.
  15. From my experience, having the right tags and descriptions is very important for the mighty algorithms to pick it up. One of my YT videos (music) gained tens of thousands of views because I copied the way successful channels did their tags and descpritions. Gained me a couple of 100 subscribers, but I'm not very actively building a following on YT.
  16. Those are the self-deception videos, and many others.
  17. A fun little video about how to create a self-referencing melody in music. I had wondered if fractals could be a thing in music as well as in geometric art, and apparently, they can...
  18. Great work! This definitely shows promise. You could check out platforms like Water Bear, Nebula, and Gaia. Hell, maybe even Netflix.
  19. For about a year, I sometimes experience a phenomenon during meditation that I'm not sure how to work through. I spontaneously fall into a state of being where the "physical" seems to dissolve and become more fluid. It's almost like it is all sucked into an emptiness, accompanied by my sense of self dissolving. I realize that this is the point of meditation, and it feels quite peaceful at first. But then all of a sudden a deep fear arises out of nothing. My heartbeat rises, and thoughts of death come up, along with some other psycho-somatic stuff. I usually just try to focus on the fear. It slowly fades away, and I'm back at my normal state of consciousness. Any tips on working through this fear as it comes up?
  20. If you don't like to read fiction at this point, don't force yourself into it, especially if your aim with it is to make friends. Read fiction if you enjoy it. Many people are into non-fiction books, and these people can be your friends too. On making friends: this became way more easy to me when I learned to just listen to others and be genuinely interested in what they have to say. People tend to judge you as a good conversation partner when you're in fact a good listener.
  21. With Leo's video about the next phase of Actualized.org, I am also starting to think about my own next phase of life. The past 10 years (my 20's) have really been focused a lot on personal development and building career skills. The last three years have been focused on developing my intimate relationship, gaining momentum with my freelance business, and buying and renovating a house. In the next phase I want to further develop my business and make my life purpose out of it and focus more on spiritual work. I also have a desire to raise kids though. Somehow I have the belief that all these things can't be done together. I assume that I could choose two of these three, but not all three, so: career and spiritual development, or career and kids. On the other hand, I could also see that raising kids can be a great way to self-actualize. My question to those who raised kids is: did it improve your self-actualization, and ability to do spiritual work? Or did it harm it, because you just didn't have the time/energy while raising kids? Thanks!
  22. Yes this works. I've been doing it for a month now and my basic energy and motivation levels are way up, + my wife loves me more
  23. Is waking up early really the answer for you at this stage in your life? Maybe your mind and body just need proper rest, especially when you're not working a job that you're very passionate about. I notice it comes in stages with me. I'm currently in a stage where I naturally wake up early, and I pick the benefits from that. I also had a phase where I forced myself to wake up early, and than going back to bed again because I atill was too damn tired to do anything productive. Changing your diet to a healthier one and cutting cafeïne might also help in waking up earlier.
  24. Which raises the question how sex geniuses live their lifes...
