There is no such a thing as POV. There is only Nothing (or Consciousness if you like), which can take the shape of appearances. Creating a distinction between one POV or another, is to divide Consciousness and therefore isn't ultimately true. "Experience can be misleading", and in an existential context it is misleading because the nature of Experience or POV it totally different than the experience itself. What you are actually asking is whether Consciousness can take the appearance of something other than the appearance that appears Now? But you already know the answer to that, because appearances are morphing all the time. Now you might ask, can Consciousness form an appearance which isn't molded around a specific body-mind? Well, notice that the body-mind also morphs, and never persist as a the same body-mind throughout life. Now you might insist that the appearances are morphing around a specific body-mind which even though is not really fixed, it has some fixation to it, like the DNA of the body. But even that will break eventually, so what prevents Consciousness from appearing as whatever body-mind? Lets backup a bit. When you were an infant, you had no conception of an other, did you? Actually, you didn't even conceive of your self. That conception came later on, when you learned to distinct your self from other "selfs". As an infant, you perceived the sight, sound, smell, touch or taste of animated objects, but you had no idea that those are "others". Again, somewhere along your conceptual development, you molded your perception in a way that distinct "your" body from the body of other life forms, such as humans or other animals. I can only assume that this is taking place for almost everyone very early in childhood, when the child is frequently called by a name (using sound), until eventually he learns to associate the sound of his name with the speaker's intention to grab his attention. This is the cornerstone of the self, when the brain learns how to create a conceptual distinction between self and other. So we see, that prior to the conception of self, all there was were appearances. There was no POV. When self is conceived, over time the appearances are regarded as something that happens to the self conception. What's missed here, is that self is also an appearance - albeit a misleading one. Over time, a complex social world is constructed in the mind, including many many self-views and relationships to others. This creates the feeling sensation that one is in the body, or is the body-mind, and that this body-mind is "my life, my story". The more complex the self-view is, and the more rigid the mind is, the more condensed or contracted is the feeling that "I am a separated being separated and located in or as the body-mind". Solipsism is only true if the refers to Consciousness as the one Mind that take the shape of every appearance. You could equate this with the capacity to dream. Lets postulate that we can dream the appearances of a world within our minds from a multiple "POV's". Is there really a difference between the POV's? No. They are all made up of the same source - mind/thought, which took their shape. There never was multiple POV's, only thought. The division between the POV's is a construction, an illusion. This is very hard to see on the level of human experience because it is so rich and incredible. The mind twitches in agony in the attempt to grasp that every. single. appearance. is. Nothing. including. the. appearance. of. mind. itself. There is no division between POV's. There never was. It is all one unified Consciousnesses that tricks itself to think that there are. Which is incredible. And genius. And brilliant. The seeming division is necessary to create the illusion of not being one, single, whole. -

"I" or "me" never awakens. Only YOU awaken. There are no other people who are trying to awake, that is precisely the illusion. Only YOU can awake. Get who YOU are, and why this is so. Enlightenment is not obtainable - how could you obtain what is already so (the Truth)? YOU can only become directly conscious of it (of YOU). The obstacle is that YOU think that you are a "me" or "I" that can get somewhere, obtain something, or achieve the state or enlightenment you seek. When you continue to think in duality, and hold that there are other people who look for enlightenment, you are just perpetuating the illusion that you have a life story of your own, and that others have life stories of their own as well. It is a common obstacle and Enlightenment is paradoxical, so watch out for all this uncovered assumptions, ways of thinking and relating, beliefs, etc. YOU are already YOU. There are no others. There is no separation. All relationships are illusion. YOU are not the body, or the mind, nor YOU are located anywhere. YOU are not an experience, perception or any thing at all, not even all things. YOU are absolutely Nothing, which appears as everything. Nothing is not some vacuum, or a place with no-things, because then it would be something. It really is Nothing, which means that it cannot be distinct from anything. If it was distinct from anything it is not, it wouldn't be Nothing, it would be something that is distinct from something that it is not. Nothing has no quality to it, no limit, nothing that can distinct it from any thing. It is the source for all distinction. Everything, or every thing, are distinctions that exist as a function of Nothing. -

No matter what you are experiencing, notice that you can always focus on the breath. Breath deeply. Remember always that you and the medicine know exactly what to work on, so everything you are experiencing is bulls eye. Flow with what ever arises - visuals, feelings, body sensations, mental formations - let it all be as it is. You are very lucky to have this journey, I wish you a profound session. -

Well, you can also do Ayahuasca, and if you are open to the Truth it will show You that You are the only "nothing-thing" that exists, which plays with himself forever and ever. Actually You can get it without any substance, but it is rare because a Westerner's mind is so rigid and full of conceptual knowledge and connections, so for most it is impossible to see through all the conceptual realm and relativity that actually You are all alone. -
I love the buzz that the video gets, it really does deserve it. It is a work of art.

I seriously doubt that he is aware of what Psychedelics are, given that he never even confessed to try them. Given their widespread use throughout the existence of human culture, it is easy to consider them safe. The only reason there aren't enough research to back this up, is because Psychedelics breaks the social matrix that exist in the mind, which society isn't willing to accept right now. But hey, at least people can keep intoxicate their repressed shadows with alcohol and sugar. I am not dealing with legislation trends, but saying that decriminalizing cannabis would promote decriminalization of cocaine is just speculation. Those are different substances altogether. Apples and oranges. As per your drug addiction history, I am sorry to hear that and I hope you are recovered and well. However, it sounds reasonable that a drug addict would try different types of substances. A drug addict only seeks the next high, and what is better than revealing the substance that will take him there? I'm sure that you can attest that DMT or Ketamine didn't provide the high you were seeking back in the day. Maybe they provided some escape from dealing with your problems, but they surely didn't supply the euphoria that comes with meth or heroin. The only "high" DMT and Ketamine can give you is by revealing the Truth, which can grant relief from mistaking yourself to be a mind or ego, which is the ultimate high, IMO. -

No, I am very stable mentally. I also like Psychology, but a lot of it is way too conceptual for my taste. Even the diagnosis of Bi-polar disorder is an analytical stretch. There are different ways to emotionally relate to circumstances, and different patterns of relating. Trying to pinpoint a psychological pattern of relating to a certain circumstances is too inclusive when it comes to personal diagnosis. In other words, there can be many individuals who will fall under the term of Bi-polarity, but the reason for their behavior and the appropriate treatment is extremely varied. I would seriously doubt how many of the comments that claim that video is life changing, are genuine. -

Lol, you guys don't get it. If you haven't awakened to the truth in the video, you don't want to watch the video. If you have awakened to it, it doesn't matter if you watch it or not. The video is entertainment for the awakened, and a disaster for the seeker who seeks awakening. -

Too bad he became so mainstream so he can't really allow himself advocate what is truly sought for, if one is seeking Transformation. It is sad that all the so called gurus or spiritual teachers disregard Psychedelics, but after you take them it is obvious the only reason they do so is because Psychedelics are better teachers than any one else. Spiritual teachers or gurus can only communicate via mind, whereas Psychedelics expand the mind rapidly. They are fooling the masses so they can continue seat of the guru pedestal and get their teacher ego caressed. I haven't seen any genuine teacher that who had the courage to explore Psilocybin, LSD, Mescaline, DMT, Ayahuasca, 5-MEO-DMT and then come to his students and say that those are not teachers. No one ever did such a thing. They just disregard them, with no research whatsoever. This is irresponsible and represent their lack of maturity and openness. They doom seekers to eternal seeking and ignorance And yes, I do know that Ralston admitted to trip in his hippy days on Psilocybin and LSD. But Psilocybin and LSD are kindergarten in relation to DMT, Ayahuasca and 5-MEO-DMT. Spira admitted that he only smoked pot. Deepak admitted that he tried LSD on the age of 17, and that this was his first spiritual experience. All the other contemporary teachers never really did came clean regarding their use of Psychedelic, or lack thereof. At least not that I know of. Have no mistake. I adore Ralston and Spira. I love them. Ralston even addressed the issue of Psychedelics and Awakenings on few occasions. He always dismisses them by claiming that "No experience is Enlightenment, not even an acid trip" or some sort. Well, this is of course correct, but completely misses the point. The point is that Psychedelics gets the mind to a state that allows for deep awakening to occur. If he would to try Ayahuasca, DMT, or 5-MEO-DMT, he would see why this is so. This goes for personal transformation as well. Ayahuasca can flush out the Shadows of the character very rapidly, which didn't prevent Mr. Sadghuru from claiming that by meditating people will get a ten-fold more than Ayahuasca, which is complete and utter nonsense. He then continue and defame Ayahuasca completely in a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-p_kcKn4uw) that received 620,000 views. He didn't even did Ayahuasca! That is a joke. -

You haven't watched it, so you don't really know. This video can literally induce deep awakening for the open minded. It is what all the spiritual teachers or gurus are hiding from seekers, because they fear they will run from them. Thus they feed them on meditation and contemplation practices, shadow work and what not. All those teachers were not capable to sell their Programs/Workshops/Intensives/Retreats/Apps if they told seekers that the teacher itself is a figment of mind. I'm actually glad that Leo took down the video. It is too good. -

First of all, suicide is futile. It is just another way of getting to an alleged better state or experience. What you are missing is that every experience and every state, including death or blissful ecstasy, only appears within that which is already perfect, free, blissful, complete, happy. Your longing for better state is precisely how Absolute Freedom expresses itself. So it does not matter what you will do, it will never get you anything. Second, no, your parents will not suffer because there is no you to begin with. All relationships are illusion. Your parents are Nothing, pretending to be some separate form, which can form bonds with other forms, just like you. However, within this illusion of relationship suffering may arise due to the attachment to relationships. When Nothing is formed as a human organism, it tends to fall under the spell of separateness, which "hides" the simple truth that everything that exists is how Nothing manifests. In other words, you and your parents are not really separate, but suffering or emotional pain can appear to happen, although no one really suffer. Third, life is mystery dancing as form. There is nothing to gain or get or acheive from it. You can either fight the dance and try to create the next better state or experience, or surrender to what already is, which is the case, and let life continue its dance without separateness and seeking. -

There are only perceptions but no one perceives them. Which is the same as saying as there are only appearances, which appear to no one. If we investigate it analytically, experience is just a function of survival. Organisms perceives their surrounding for survival purposes. There is no other reason for heaving eyes, nose, ears, feeling sensations, taste buds. If we inspect other organisms, such as trees and plants, we see that they lack most of the perceptive faculties that more complex organisms posses, simply because they usually don't need them for their survival. So experience is a mere side effect of the existence of a life form, and the faculties themselves are shaped around the survival mechanics and surroundings of that specific life form. But this is only how it manifests in our perception. If we inspect perception from within, it is obvious that there is nothing other than perception or appearance, and everything else (experience, experiencer, perceiver, witness, survival, organisms, etc.) are just stories in the mind (which is also only a perception). When the "me" or the "I" thought is created, then perceptions are all organized, interpreted and given value or meaning in the context of "my life story", that perceptions are happening to some entity that is "me" or "I". And so a dualistic illusion is birthed, where the body-mind (which are perceptions/appearances) are thought to be the subject of experience, whereas everything else (the world, others and objects) are thought to be the objects of experience. -
Batman replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No, the assumption that Nothing is the absence of existence is false. Nothing is not the absence of anything, because it is not any thing at all. If it would, it would be a thing - a thing that is absent of anything, like space with no objects. But the nothing that is spoken of is not any thing at all, nor is it the absence of anything. It is nothing, undefinable, unknowable, undistinguishable, unspeakable, ineffable. It is Absolute and so cannot be distinct from anything that is relative. It is space-less space, or no-space space. It doesn't exist, because it is existence. There is no real distinction between Nothing and Everything, only in mind. Any thing that exist, exists as and within Nothing. Nothing has no quality, which is why it can manifest as everything. Identification is a process, so even identifying with Nothing will be another false method used by the imagined self to appropriate liberation to itself. Nothing does not need identification because it is already complete, perfect, free and whole as it is. Only when it manifest as a separate self, it seems to be not perfect, not complete, not free. But the separate identity, or the process of identifying and being bounded by mind, is exactly one of the ways that freedom, happiness, creativity, and wholeness manifests as. Nothing is a complete mystery and magic to the individual. The individual will never grasp Nothing, because it is already is Nothing, expressed as individual seeking for completeness or enlightenment. In other words, what is truly longed and yearned for is already what is. But the individual will continue to seek and long for some better experience or state until it is recognized that it is already that which it seeks. -

There is no "You". You is a conceptual story in the mind. So a "you" cannot maintain anything, nor can it take a psychedelic. The illusion is that there is a "me" that is taking a Psychedelics, whereas in fact no one takes a psychedelic. There is the appearance of a body, and illusory appearance of a "me" story, but only the body consumes the appearance of some psychedelic. This brings about a change in the appearance of the "me", which causes the radical or substantial change in the appearance of life. The "me" story contracts Consciousness into a certain state, and the Psychedelic may relieve Consciousness of this tension in the appropriate setting, but it can also cause a greater tension if the "me" is fighting to preserve its mental formation. This is also why in many trips there is a relief of tension in the body. When the identification activity with the body (the "meness") is reduced or stops, than the holding on to the body reduces as well. So yes, Psychedelics brings insight into the nature of mind, emotion, and the appearance of the "me" character/mental suit. If the "me" fall off completely, it is revealed that there never was a "me", that it was a dream/illusion. But no one reveals it or realizes it. -
Batman replied to thenondualtankie's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There is no "You" and "I". There is nothing to see. Those are just mental musings and gymnastics. There is no one here to realize god. This is precisely the illusion. Bodies happen. Communication between bodies happen. They happen to no one. -
Batman replied to Danioover9000's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
We are not an ego. That is a false assumption. There is conditioning of mind patterns, nothing more. Other than this, there is no one here. No one is communicating with no one. There is just communication between experiences. Feelings are expressed through various means, facial expression is just one of them. Experiences communicate through facial expressions, yes. That happens. -
Batman replied to Focus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
A "me" will never understand or digest non-duality. But You can start by watching the "me", and all the thoughts, beliefs, memories that relate to this "me" that seeks non-duality. False self will never, ever, realize real Self. Consciousness "awakens" by unravelling the false identity it is identified with. Regarding navigating reality and adopting more efficient states of mind and emotion - this is about transforming your experience of life. You can choose how to relate to circumstances, and which emotion to produce. This is rather complex work because we adopt so much different ways of relating, and we adopt the self that we relate things to. So inquiring into self-views, beliefs and emotions is about changing your experience of life. Psychological treatment can help with revealing traumatic memories that produce "negative" states, but meditation, contemplation and psychedelics can also reveal deeply and right to the core the rigging of self, mind and emotion. I would suggest doing Enlightenment work and Transformation work together, they supplement each other. Awakening can reveal that You are neither self, nor mind or body, and empowers the possibility of changing them all. Working on beliefs, traumas, depressed emotions can release much of the things that hold you back from having the experience you want. -
Batman replied to Irina Wolf's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Burning sensations (or other sensations) in energy centers (or "Chakras") are quite common when meditating. You can sense them even just by focusing the attention on those centers (crown of the head, between the eyebrows, throat, center of the chest, solar plexus, beneath the naval, and at the perineum). Anyway, physical effects while meditating can happen because You affect the structure of the mind. And the mind affect the body (they are two sides of the same coin). It is more likely to happen if you touch on some core assumption or belief regarding who or what you are.
