... is there still a perception of the world, since the perceiver itself is a creation of nothingness? I know this can't be explained, but im just looking for some insights to guide my inquiry. Thank you! -

@tsuki So then nothingness cannot be experienced? It only... is? -

I wrote this in another topic, but i guess its relevant here, have a read. Social anxiety is literally just a belief, which can be worked at and dropped completely! Since our whole identity (i, the ego, me) is just a structure of beliefs and conditioning, we can change any aspect of it the way we wish to. The key is consciousness. -
An insight i had recently, since i strugle with similar situation: ive realized that me being introverted is literally just a belief on my part. A belief born through childhood/teenhood experiences, reinforced by my unconscious self over the years. It has prevented me from being social and authentic for years. But once i became conscious of the root problem behind it, i can now see how laughable it is. So, what to do now? Well, there is nothing quite like spiritual purification work to make you more authentic. Awareness is everything. Check out Leo's episode called ''Awareness alone is curative''. Turn inwards, not only during your sitting meditation slot, but take your meditation into your daily life. Observe your thoughts, emotions etc. even when you are with people. This is how you become aware of your inauthenticity and the problems behind it, and the more you observe it, the easier it becomes to simply be you, even around people. Do some shadow work as well! Really go deep within yourself, and often! You might get scared or uncomfortable when you start discovering hidden aspects of yourself which are holding you back, but so what? Be glad, smile and thank the Universe every time you discover something about yourself, no one said growth will be easy Apart from spiritual practices, what is helping me enormously is semen retention. In fact, im counting it as a spiritual practise.

The biggest issue i have towards ending my meat consumption, is that im afraid vegetarian diet would malnourish the body since i enjoy exercise such as calisthenics, running and sports in general. I've been meaning to research this for a while now, since i am being more and more drawn towards limiting the meat consumption. But like i've said, my hesitation stems from fear of malnutrition. Does anyone have any knowledge or resources to share in regards to this? -

Its chestnut season, and this exercise occurred to me as i was picking them. It works the same with any object, but ill be using chestnuts as an example here. As you pick and collect the chestnuts, take the biggest and best looking one (or even the entire basket!) and just throw it away. But don't just throw it mindlessly. Rather, observe the entire process. Observe your gripping attachment to the chestnut just before you throw. And observe the freeing feeling within you just after you throw it. This is what "letting go" is. It's the same with our attachment to the false sense of self. We are constantly gripping, but it's only when we simply let go that we see how silly it was to grip on to it. -
Hi guys! I've recently read a book which, in my opinion, is very valuable. I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with it: Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. In the book, there is a chapter about his time meeting Mahatma Gandhi. The leader is quoted with the following: "Even if the opponent plays him false twenty times, the satyagrahi is ready to trust him the twenty-first time, for an implicit trust in human nature is the very essence of the creed." My heart was greatly inspired by this, and so I wrote it down in the quotes section of my notebook. But then, later in the day, my logical mind started pondering at it. I mean, wouldn't it be rather foolish to still trust the person who plays you false so many times? I recognise the importance of intuition over logical thinking, and have been using it with great success more and more. Yet I am rather torn when it comes to this quote by the great Gandhi. Any opinions from this awesome community would be much appreciated! Anyways, I hope you all are doing well, and thank you for your time! Jaka

@SirVladimir @aurum I've experienced the letting go of the ego-self identity once so far, if only for a few seconds before the ego's fear of loss of "self" pulled me back. So I can totally see your guys' points! You have cleared the confusion up for me, thank you both for your guidance!
