  1. Even more interesting, have you noticed that photos and videos can communicate Consciousness? Feel that
  2. Who knew Scots were so woke? Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 19:14
  3. Confusion = identifying with "your" conditioned mind. Clarity = realizing as Consciousness.
  4. @Nahm @Tim R Reality is hilarious, when you don't think about it. ?
  5. @Nahm Was just "thinking" that when two woke people meet, all they can do is laugh
  6. Exactly. Knowledge is suffering. Being is peace. Isn't it funny that evolution not only created forms capable of thought, but most profoundly, capable of realizing the futility of thought? Agree 100% on the resonance of music and truth. Consciousness creates, and artists are closer to Self-realization/expression than many of us, because of this. They channel themselves.
  7. Some people don't get this. Reality is everything, and everynothing.
  8. @Nahm Isn't it interesting that the tree of life is just that? No knowledge. Simply being. No "good" vs. "evil", just unity. Even our oldest allegories point to that reality. Sort of on the subject, a quote I came across this morning from Prince: "I think when one discovers himself he discovers God. Or maybe it's the other way around. I'm not sure...It's hard to put into words. It's a feeling — someone knows when they get it. That's all I can really say...I think there is an afterworld. For some reason, I think it's going to be just like here, but that's part...I don't really like talking about this stuff. It's so personal." [1985]
  9. Judgment is the sabre of the ego ? It preserves the illusion of itself, by attacking others as being inferior. False superiority is presented as actuality. It is the opposite of Love, which is simply the realization that there is no "other".
  10. God is infinite intelligence, abundance, creativity, reality, and love.
  11. From a karmic perspective, the trajectory of this self accumulates, like a snowball rolling down a snowy hill, and grows, according to the nature of itself. I feel that Consciousness bundles itself into infinite souls, and tells infinite stories, where each soul is on a hero's journey. The soul evolves, until it eventually Self-realizes, and ultimately dissolves back into the formless Consciousness that created it. Hey, it's a lot more interesting than just staying formless, changeless, timeless, unborn, and unable to die.
  12. I was reading a new book from Ram Dass yesterday, where he compares his soul journey to a spiral staircase. He is standing midway, looking down at the selves that preceded his current incarnation. Looking up, at the top of the stairs, is him too, but as ultimate awareness. It resonated with me. Ram Dass died in December 2019, at the age of 90. I wonder what his new incarnation is, or will be? The truth is that although it is possible to realize ourselves as infinite Consciousness that was never created or destroyed, the actual fate of our relative selves remains a mystery. Maybe the ancient gurus were right about reincarnation, but even that is just a belief. It doesn't actually matter. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to die before you die. Realizing the depthless ocean of Love that You are is the greatest gift you can give to yourself, or to any other relative self.
  13. If one human was fully enlightened, would evil still exist within that human? Evil is the absence of light. It is transient, it is conditional, and it is a lie. If you are filled with light, how can you harbor evil? From the ultimate perspective, the question makes no sense. There is only God, and the dualities of good/evil, freedom/attachment, and enlightenment/ignorance dissolve into the dreams that created them.
  14. That sense of hopelessness and futility is a classic judo move by the ego. ? It is the conditioned mind telling you that there is no purpose or joy in anything. The best lies have a kernel of truth. In a relative sense, your conditioned mind is right. Everything that is created, including you, is transient. Everything dies. So realize the part of You that isn't created, and doesn't die. When you directly realize Yourself as Consciousness, you will discover love, and that discovery will inform how you live for the rest of your "relative" life. What is the path to realizing this? Meditation, study, service, personal growth, healthy relationships, and constructive living. It would be nice if the path was easier, but then again if it was easy, everyone would already be enlightened.
  15. Facing your fears is good. Fear is the ego invoker. Presence is the mind killer.
  16. Why put yourself in a situation where you fear? Listen to your instincts. Follow your feelings. You can realize without needing to put yourself at risk.
  17. Whether or not you realize it, or even acknowledge it, you don't know shit. Knowledge is fool's gold. Directly realize reality, free from conceptualization, or don't.
  18. There is no black without white. No joy without suffering. No love without hate. Do you choose duality, with its inevitable transience, or changeless, ultimate reality? Whether or not you understand it, You do.
  19. It's not uncommon for people to have a conceptual awakening, where they understand that reality is not what most people think. This realization frequently leads to solipsism, a lack of purpose, and a sense of futility. Go deeper. You still need to awaken spiritually. You have understood what "you" are not, but you have not yet directly realized what You are. Relative reality is not purposeless. There is still love, happiness, and peace in lucid living. Consciousness created all of this for a reason. It puts parts of itself to sleep, because this is the only way for anything to be created, experienced, or enjoyed. When you recognize who You are, and that You are already infinitely abundant, you no longer need to suffer. You can celebrate the transience of life, understanding and taking peace in the realization that nothing that is ultimately real can be threatened.
  20. Easier in some ways, but not in others. Eckhart Tolle admitted that had The Power of Now been a flop, he would have been equally happy farming tomatoes. Physical labor is simple, but it is back-breaking work. Certainly Tolle would have made less money, and lived less comfortably, as a tomato farmer. The upside is that he is able to help people suffer less, through the path he has chosen. From an absolute perspective, there are no "people", and there is no "suffering" to alleviate. Choose your own dream.
  21. From a relative perspective, the role you play in life is irrelevant, regardless of how lucid you are. You can be an enlightened tomato farmer, or an enlightened global leader. There is a tendency for enlightened people to become teachers, because they see the unnecessary suffering in others, but being truly enlightened means seeing and living the reality that everything is already the same. "You" can live the dharma with equanimity and integrity, without having to be a monk.
  22. I call it lucid dreaming. You realize ultimate reality, but are still bound by relative reality, within the dream. Even the dream deserves to be honored, and "you" can make it joyful, rather than a nightmare.
