@Gesundheit This is not true at all. You are only focusing on mainstream entertainment.
-
@Shin Never said I wasn’t. But keep thinking your clever. @seeking_brilliance hurt people hurt people. @No Self I wasn’t really including people like that. Though, is there anyone like that alive today? Maybe Eckart Tolle?
-
@Preety_India Yeah, there is a lot of that on this forum.

What is a fringe dweller? This is what urban dictionary has to say: A Fringe Dweller is someone who lives life outside their head. Using their brain-pan merely as an observationaldevice and not as a judgement unit. Doing so allows a Fringe Dweller to perceive life in many different ways... Making the emotions of "fear" much less intense and the emotions of "love" much more abundant. Often it is said that Fringe Dwellers are higher spirits waiting for humanity to grow with them into something bigger. Anyone else feel like this? Especially in a world where stage orange is overly glorified and people just say that they are spiritual to look cool. I started noticing this when I got serious into acting. College was okay. But when I took an acting class in the real world I realized that I do not like actors (Josh Brolin and some famous actors have said this as well) and did not relate to them at all. Truth be told, most actors are plastic and narcissistic. They only care about you to the extent of which you can do something for them, I also noticed this at while working at a job. I tried to party with them. Just did not work. Those people were even more into drugs than I was at the time and I found myself developing a drinking problem just trying to fit in. Brene Brown’s work in shows us that you cannot fit in and belong at the same time. That belonging in more of an inner game. Once I went that way I felt a lot better. I have embraced being a lone wolf. Who else here feels this way?

@Ivan Dimi You have to understand that some of us come on here looking for like minded people. So when the leader is so obviously not following his own teachings it is a bit disappointing. Plus some stage orange/achiever level guys read his post and think that it’s okay to act like that. So he is also not being a good role model. He really is speaking for a lot of people on this forum who are too afraid to say anything. Its weird, I really got into actualized during a dark period in my life. Listening to his videos really got me going into the right direction. I guess you expect him to walk the walk. But he does not. I knew this when in his video after his 30 day solo retreat he talked about watching porn. I did not listen to his stuff for months and was done with him until he started talking about the nine stages of ego development.

Akira is awesome. Code Geass is dope. FLCL at the end of the day is about bad relationships and how people get you caught up in their world for their own intentions. -
@Shin What a cocky s.o.b @sholomar Don’t know too much about psychopaths and a little bit about sociopaths. But I have too much h first hand experience with narcissists unfortunately. Still healing from the trauma. When you talk about many human beings not having remorse for what they have done, it makes me think about the last two women that I dated. The last was narcissistic (she is an actress so makes sense) but the one before that was a straight narcissist. Human beings are all predators. I don’t care how nice you are. We prey on each all the time.

Hahaha, if only you knew. I was just curious as to what others believe to be the case. I already have my own answers. Unlike others, I am intrigued by what others have to say. But thank you for the smug answer.

@ertopolice Gyms are opened where you are? Lucky... Yoga studios, meditation centers, meetups could be a good place to start. Really, anything that you are into is good.
-
Well, during a pandemic is a different story... But it starts with doing things that you enjoy and meeting people doing that. Be it men or women. If you like rock climbing for example and go to a meetup for rock climbing and meet a girl there who is with two other girls, instead of gaming them, make friends with them. You will then be into their social circle and they will more than likely know other women and if you are into those women then it becomes a lot easier to date them. Right now, you can do virtual meetups. It will be harder, but not impossible.
-
Social circle is definitely your best bet if you desire high quality women and a better shot with women. But it takes time to build one. Cold approaching is a numbers game. The more you approach, the better you get and you’ll eventually find women who will date and sleep with you. Night game is the best if you are looking to only get laid. Day game is better if you are looking to date/get a girlfriend. But I suggest actually working on your life, building yourself up so that you can create some social status and parlay that into a social circle.
-
No offense, but you strike me as someone who does a lot of posturing and repeating what you hear instead of feeling deeply into it for yourself.
-
The theory (particularly the way he does it) is that you are not trying to fix or change yourself. You voice your deepest fear, then begin to realize just how u tire that fear is and go towards the other side. You realize that it is all a story that you are creating. It sends a wonderful message to the body. I have been doing this a lot lately and it has truly improved my healing work ten fold. That is the issue with self help, you go in feeling that you are broken. You are not broken.
-
It isn’t. I will say the more inner work you do, the less attached to outcomes you are. I started when I was 20 and did the thirty day challenge. Before it was up I was already dating a woman that I had picked up from the mall. Once I moved to L.A I started hooking up more consistently. After three years I saw the limits and it felt empty to me that if I was going to get with 50 women in a year (which really is not a lot for a top notch player) then I would have to have no life, I shifted my focus more onto my career. A lot of guys are just empty and believe that this is the answer to all their problems. Pick up is only there to show men that they have agency in their lives. At the end of the day, it isn’t even the most effective dating strategy. Particularly if you desire high quality women. Social circles, social status and being a true high value man are always going to beat game.
-
As a former PUA I wish I had focused on inner game. At the end of the day if you can clear up your negative limiting beliefs, you will become way more attractive so when you do approach, you will not have a lot of resistance. But most guys are all about instant gratification.

Try eft tapping. It is amazing:
-
I will say that I have been take aback by how his dating advice is so pick up oriented. In a way I get it as if you are a guy who is shy and has never really just picked up a randomness woman, pick up will change your life. But at the same time I thought that he would have a bit of a more mature perspective on dating I guess. The biggest issue with that is he is encouraging others to stay in this stage orange/achiever level concept of dating. Like that is all that it is, I get that he does not want to be spiritual with dating. But ARGGH, why the hell not? If I want to talk about pick up artists there are better forums with guys who are great at pick up to go to, not actualized.org. Do we really want to be promoting that? I had no idea about his comments on George Floyd. As a black man that is very disappointing.
-
I wouldn’t say that. Look at something like Peanuts. Charles Schulz made that after the woman he loved chose another man. He then goes on to write a comic strip about a lovable loser that everyone relates to. Or take the film Almost Famous. That was basically an autobiographical film about the writer/director’s experience writing for rolli g stone when he was a teenager. There is still authentic art out there. Though, it is all about what you are bringing to it. What kind of participant you are.

I see this thing that most men (particularly men who are getting into pick up) do which is they are chasing women. They go out to bars and clubs (can’t really do that right now), they day game, they go out after work, they do online dating, dating apps, etc. How about creating a lifestyle that attracts women? I have been contemplating lately and what I have realized is this: I am an artist who is not a millionaire (yet) who also lives in Los Angeles. Most women date me on potential at best, but do not see a ton of value in me outside of that and my looks (I’m no Chad, but I do have some endorsement deals from clothing lines). I have gotten into this situation where the woman discarded me or even ghosted me, I show some cool shit that I am doing on Instagram, they regret it and stalk me on there a bit, but it is far too late as I don’t play those games. What I have realized is instead of chasing women, if I focus on myself, my lifestyle will bring them in. You have to get yourself out if this runner chaser dynamic. A lot of women these days (especially in major cities) want to be chased because all they want is attention. How about you get her and other to chase you? How do you go about this? Take a few months off from pursuing women. It is not the end world my desperados. Women will always be there. But you can use this time to start a business, get into shape, heal, read, become more spiritual and overall love yourself, raise your self esteem and feel better about yourself. You have to understand that no woman is going to make you feel better about yourself. That is an inside job. And self live is far from attractive than this self loathing that a lot of guys get into. Fast forward a few months later, you will have new clothes, you will be detached from women and actually feel free. When you do go out you will only approach women who give you choosing signals and not this cold approach nonsense (which is necessary for noobies, but is ultimately not effective). You will tolerate less b.s and meet more women who are willing to put in some work. At the end of the day, most of you guys make minimum wage, have shit jobs and are depressed. Then you wonder why women give you these shit tests. Imagine if you had a business, we’re making $4,000 a month, got yourself a nice apartment, a new car and new clothes. The things do not matter. They are simply outer manifestations of you changing yourself. Then of course women would treat you differently. How does that sound?

No Elliott Smith? Otherwise, great playlist.

As an artist not all entertainment is the same. Some entertainment is art. Think of the great films like Fight Club, The Godfather part 1 and 2, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Spirited Away, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas and etc. Or great albums like Thriller, Sgt Peppers and the lonely hearts club, Dark side of the moon, SF Sorrow, Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness, Either Or. Or even shows like Breaking Bad or even the Office. They have transcended entertainment and became art. Then there is entertainment like reality tv, action movies, bro/stage orange comedies, Tyler Perry’s stuff, Taylor Swift, Nickleback, that are meant for the masses. Only meant to make money. No real depth to them. The entertainment industry used to be more about creating art. That was until the Internet. Now it’s all about what makes money.

When you go deeper into spirituality, thereby going deeper into yourself, you realize that sex, relationships and etc (this can go RIR anything really) do not make you happy. They can give you pleasure. But pleasure does not bring happiness. In fact when you feel love or have sex you just want more. Those needs can never be satiated. We have all been brainwashed to believe that we need these things and even worse, that you can only get love from someone else. Both are not true. I was considering make an eharmony account today. I went about my business then it dawned on my that I forgot all about it. When I am present and focusing on myself, I feel happy. I feel more fulfilled then when I did doing pick up or dating narcissistic women. That’s for sure. Even before I got this way, I would take breaks from dating and when I came back I noticed a difference. I had changed so my energy had changed. At the end of the day, it’s all energy. You attract certain people based on your energy. So when you can fill your cup, you are going to put a different kind of energy out there.
-
@Preety_India Those are all good points. Most people get to stage orange and believe that they are awake when in fact they have a long way to go. This society certainly teaches us to be selfish and sometimes you do. But people over do it. And the west in particular is overly capitalistic. But I don’t believe that money is the root of all evil. It is the amplification of it. Like if I am a really bad person, if I get a lot of money, I’m going to be an even worse person. But if I am a really good person, I can do a lot of good with a lot of money,

My mother physically, mentally and emotionally abused my and my father was an absentee one.

@smurf88 I guess this society is just toxic. In a lot of ways, we are all truly actors. The world really is a stage and each of us is a player. True leaders are rare in this day and age. Especially because whenever you challenge people's beliefs you get shot down. @SirVladimir It was a cruel angel’s thesis from the start. @vizual I have actually been doing some eft tapping on that. We have all been so brainwashed with lack it’s crazy. Whenever you act otherwise people think that you are insane. Most people do not understand that abundance is an inside job. @blankisomeone Eh, if that were true then the world would not be in this situation. People usually only help each other when it benefits them. @No Self Most people seem to have a scarcity mindset. Like there is not enough room at the table. It would be nice if the Democrats are allowed to create the society that they talk about. We’ll see soon if that will be the case.
