? Great report. Hopefully going myself next month. would be good to hear you elaborate on the meditation insights you said you’d just end up going on with -
“The Tao is (like) the emptiness of a vessel; and in our emolument of it we must be on guard against all fullness…” ”We should blunt our sharp points, and unravel the complication of things; we should attemper our brightness, and bring ourselves into agreement with the obscurity of others.” What do these mean? Specifically “we must be on guard against all fullness” and “we should attemper our brightness, and bring ourselves into agreement with the obscurity of others.” I guess be ‘on guard against all fullness’ means not to be complacent because all things are possible, good and bad? I read here recently that to attach to everything is to fear nothing. Would it be along them line? Being prepared for all outcomes, etc? I guess ‘attemper our brightness… into the agreement with the obscurity of others’ is to be adaptable and accepting of our unique differences? Not being so caught up in our own agendas that we try to make others wrong, etc? No idea ??♂️ cheers

What would a conscious/rational force leading the world look like? Why do you think we don’t have it now and what would need to happen for it to happen? Suppose a good start would be mandatory meditation, on questions around “what’s best for the greater good? Where are we being selfish? What’s a better way?” ??♂️ Fuck knows

I guess content marketing with a very rare pitch is pure then? Just producing and letting them come naturally? I think saying ALL internet marketing is devilry is inaccurate. Don’t know if you advertise your LP course or just purely organic, but there’ll be thousands of ‘cold traffic’ out there who would need it right now and with a little bit of marketing/guidance, would be on the right path for their highest good. People are naturally lazy and fearful and very often we don’t know what we don’t know and/or what we actually need. Good, ethical marketing campaigns have the potential to give people clarity and direction. Expecting ideal consumers to just come and find you is a disservice surely. Seems like part of the job is also finding them and giving them the kick up the arse they need lol
-
How will you get it to the people who need it then? Just word of mouth? Feels like it could miss a lot of people that way which is a disservice? Or like someone asked about running ads that truthfully represent the product on every level, is that still devilry? What’s your definition of internet marketing then and what’s the proper way to sell? Is there a difference?
-
Surely it’s ethical/non devilry if the exchange of value for money is equal, and in a lot of cases the value far exceeds the price.
-
Think people have a bad stigma vs marketers in general even though there’s a lot of them, who still get bad reviews in some cases, are doing mega service to the world and transforming lives. I remember I shown a high quality Tai Lopez video to my mate. Was like the 2nd/3rd time I was playing it and his 1st. I was mind blown and excited while he said somewhere in along the lines of “but can’t you hear the way he puts it, manipulative” or some shit. Had to change the subject?how can you dismiss so much gold for something so minor, which in the end is in the recipients best interests anyway lol ??♂️
-
@something_else Any examples? If you’re referring to persuasion, I think there’s good persuasion and bad. Persuading someone by using cognitive biases or whatever to get them to buy something that will improve their lives is good. People don’t like spending money but because marketers try to ‘force’ a sale from them doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. We’re wired to run more from pain than we are to chase pleasure, so the pain of losing the money sometimes seems greater than the value they’ll get, when it isn’t actually the case. I think??♂️but getting someone to buy something that’ll have greater value on their lives seems like a service to/from god. What you think?

@Breakingthewall wouldn’t that just be god then? ‘Ego is natural intelligence in its pure state?’ -

@The Mystical Man what’s the difference between ego survival and god/love survival, or the natural flow of evolution/life? I guess god doesn’t need survival but ego is a part of god that does need survival? Isn't there a natural urge for survival/expansion? Is this urge always ego? What about animals and plants that act on natural instincts and flow? @Leo Gura ???? -

@Leo Gura ah yea love just is? Similar to what Eckhart said; thought needs consciousness but consciousness doesn’t need thought? And like you said, love is like the first layer of every structure; everything that is comes from this source?? But the source itself is impartial? How would we be dead already if we weren’t afraid of death? Is that by choice or recklessness? I think an intelligent being with no fear would still avoid life threatening danger for example? -
Do you use candles for meditation, yoga, self reflection, etc? Why? What benefits do you feel? What do you look for when choosing them?
-
@r0ckyreed much appreciated, need to practice visualisation and big picture thinking more. Always too focused on my own petty issues.
-
How do you tune into this properly? Specifically in the more difficult moments.

I’m always going from one thing to another. Sometimes it feels guided, other times it’s impulsive trying to get quick wins. Two paths right now, both areas that I wanna master, but realise focusing on one thing is better. One path is e-commerce/business where I’ll get to practically learn business fundamentals, and the opportunity to learn from expert mentors. The other is tarot/astrology (hi) that I love. Thinking I can combine both but if you could give some insight to both paths I’d really appreciate it. Only seen a bit and like the way you read. I could pull some cards myself but I still feel incompetent with my interpretations atm. Thanks! -
@Michael569 cheers mate. Will look deeper into the things you said ??

Reading “body harmony” atm and she says it’s bad to snack between meals, which was kinda confirmed through Google, but was talking mostly about unhealthy snacks and I think sugary snacks. Is it ok to eat nuts between meals? Why is it bad if not? Need to study more but something to do with digestion and blood sugar levels right? Cheers
-
@Username so you just eat two meals a day with no snacks? @Vincent S thanks

@marinaaniram Had this realisation last night, high. Noticed that between moments of presence there was this grasping urge to resist or to hold on to something, an identity. Feels like it’s constantly running, trying to control and fix shit. Mad. Presence is pure bliss but hard to settle in for long (least for me atm) without the ego nagging in the form of some thought or trying to solve tension or whatever other problem. Even when it appears there ain’t a problem, it’s there labelling still? @Leo Gura doesn’t love want to survive? -
Eckhart Tolle, in “a new earth” talks about egoic structure of excessive wanting, needing, “must have more” which implies dissatisfaction with what is, a constant sense of lack… does it always mean this? Is the opposite a structure that is satisfied and content, but still wants and needs things, for example, to evolve and carry out the souls mission? He says “the content is interchangeable. As long as you don’t recognise those thought forms within yourself, as long as they remain unconscious, you will believe in what they say; you will be condemned to seeking and not finding—because when those thought forms operate, no possession, place, person, or condition will ever satisfy you. No content will satisfy you as long the egoic structure remains in place.” I think it leads back to being present and acting from there. How to tell the difference between satisfied action, and dissatisfied, excessive wanting? He also says “you will always be looking for something else that promises greater fulfilment, that promises to make your incomplete sense of self complete and fill that sense of lack you feel within” but isn’t the act of carrying out ‘souls urge’ so to speak, fulfilling in itself. Like the saying “it’s the journey, not the destination”? Is it possible to feel completely satisfied while wanting more? If not, aren’t we always meant to feel some sense of dissatisfaction so that we act and evolve? Will have to revisit Leo’s content vs structure video, he probably goes into it there.

@Fernanda ?? @VeganAwake nice ty. So would you say that all desire stems from this sense of separation that leads to the urge of wanting to accomplish being whole? @WelcometoReality desire doesn’t always have to be a struggle tho right? It’s only a problem when we’re hurt through it not being fulfilled? Also heard recently that essentially, the reason life is, is because of an initial desire to expand. Can’t remember exactly how it was put. @Gianna nice post, thanks!

Ego is generally interpreted a bad thing but healthy ego exists? But both are illusory? Is healthy ego just the embodiment of soul/higher self, therefore no ego; just presence and spontaneous action from there? Eckhart Tolle says that anything we attach to is ego and reinforces a sense of self, which is always illusory? Could we say that healthy ego is just the absence of fear and attachment. Hard to say tho because as humans we need a map to navigate the world, as Leo called it, a ‘filter system’ that helps us make decisions and make sense of the world. And as Eckhart mentions, the mind is a very useful tool when used correctly but destructive when not. Correct = healthy ego, destructive = bad ego? But anytime we live through the mind we’re operating from ego on some level, whereas presence is from greater intelligence, which is free from ego?
-
Nicely put, thanks guys. So it’s literally any thought, that creates duality/separateness from what actually is? Nothing there, apart from this moment, right? @VeganAwake

If a girl shows strong interest on IG but no messaging yet, would you still look at other girls and/or message them, knowing that they’re aware of it? Both are girls I thought have a lot of potential obv but there’s several atm. Nothing more than hints tho lol… not sure how the best version of me should be here and what I should aim for. To me it feels standard until something develops in person or at least over text. Happened twice now where I’ve looked about n they bailed. What do I need to express in these kind of situations? Want a gf eventually or find union but who the fuck knows anything until real developments happening? Don’t have my shit together financially atm either tho so in a weird spot. Second question: would you pursue girls at all if you was broke? Guess I just gotta chill back til I’m financially stable… silly to not get involved on some level tho when it’s coming back at me Would be good to hear some insight, not just to the specifics but general approach and some fundamental insight that I might be missing. Much appreciated.
