@Michael569 Thanks for chiming in, Michael. What do you mean by additional requirement? As in, how much protein I am aiming for? I was advised to aim for 140g of protein. I am finding it difficult to meet this amount with food alone. Also, it has been a while since I last had this much protein. My protein intake has been quite bad throughout this year, and I am still growing so I think it is important. This article/transcript/podcast talks about it: https://drruscio.com/protein-intake-is-crucial-for-your-health/

@integral I have histamine intolerance so eggs are a no-go for me (for now, hopefully). Hopefully histamine intolerance isn't permanent. I did not know that. Does every type of whey and marine collagen contain heavy metals? Could you list examples other than foods high in histamine like eggs? I have histamine intolerance so I need to be a bit cautious. Eggs make me feel inflamed. Also, for some odd reason, I don't like the taste of eggs anymore. I used to like eggs, I don't know what happened. I've tried vegetarian/vegan but I literally can't function. I already have bloating and constipation as is, and most staple foods in vegan and vegetarian diets consist of foods that bloat me a lot (e.g. legumes).

@Arthogaan But what if you die tomorrow? Would there have still been a point in trying to make progress “towards” something if you were going to die before actualising it?
-
@Arthogaan Because it feels good to be making progress?
-
@Leo Gura How and why is this the case? Is it because you know you are doing the best you possibly can in life?

Why is it a problem for you? -

4 years later, how have your results been with Kriya Yoga? -
Lmao Leo's point is that the bills need to paid somehow. You think you can just quit your job and put all your focus on whatever you want to do? What's gonna pay the bills then? "Whatever you want to do" often doesn't pay the bills straight away, and takes a very long time before it does.

But if you want to live the best life possible, selflessness and spirituality is the way, isn't it? -

What is the job if you don't mind me asking? -
@Razard86 If you don't judge yourself for not living up to your highest potential how do you motivate yourself to live up to your highest potential?
-
@Leo Gura Have you ever thought about actually doing this? Why or why not?

It’s like I’m being peer pressured to take drugs. ”Man why the fuck won’t you just play with us? You haven’t played any games in SO LONG, you’ve probably forgotten what it’s like. It’s so much better to play with three people rather than two.” I answer the question with my reasons and the just try to argue those reasons and come up with counter points. I didn’t go too into detail because I really don’t feel the need to justify why I live my life the way I do. Then they try to guilt trip me more to play with them. These “friends” are just people I know because we are in the same class and school and have known each other for years. Once I’m out of school I will probably never talk to them again. Why do they care so much about what I choose to do with my time?
-
@Razard86 Bump.

@Razard86 Duuuude your post and my reply got wiped from the server error. Did you see my reply by any chance before it got wiped? I’d really like you to go deeper on what you were talking about, or maybe share some resources on where I can learn more about it.

You just gave me an aha moment with your wisdom. Thank you. Now I know that I need to distance myself from them even more. I’ve been trying to get my belongings needs (from Maslow’s hierarchy) from whoever was near me or around me. So that’s why I care about their opinion, because they’re like the only people I’ve been talking to. It’s time to become a lone wolf until I find a group of like-minded people. Why would it be inconvenient for them? I’m just doing my thing and working on myself, How does that affect their life?
-
I think I already have let them go in part. The issue is that I still have to interact with every day since our seating arrangement in class is such that we sit next to each other. It’s distracting as fuck and I feel like I’m being pulled down constantly. Ideally I would just sit in a corner of the classroom by myself, that way I can focus more. I think I’ll feel like I’m out of prison once I’m out of school. Yes I do care a lot. About them in particular? No, not really. About what it is in human nature that makes people tell you what you should do with your time? About why people try to drag you down? Yes, one way of looking at it is to say that I care about it. I would say that I am mostly curious about why it’s like this. I can intuit that there’s an insight here that I can’t put into words yet. Some humans can be like crabs in a bucket, but why are they like crabs in a bucket?

Does having a Life Purpose improve your mental and physical health so much that you live longer?
-
@Ludwigvan I have done this too by using a similar app called Freedom, and I also have AdGuard for my phone which lets me block these sites too. The issue is, while I can't access it on my laptop or desktop, I can easily access it on my iphone or ipad. Reason being is that it the content blockers only work for the Safari browser. And when I masturbate I use the DuckDuckGo browser which the content blockers don't work for. So in my mind it isn't really impossible. I know exactly how to work around these blocker apps and when I have the urge to masturbate my animal mind will do whatever it takes to satisfy it.
-
@Ludwigvan This makes so much sense, thank you. But I have a problem. I masturbate every day, which I'm sure releases a lot of dopamine. I'm addicted to it. How do I stop masturbating?
-
@Nahm But typing is also a form of creation. How is drawing any different? Is it more effective because it engages the "visual" sensory part of our brain? I'm pretty sure humans communicated through visuals far longer than written language.

@Nahm Assuming I was holding it in my hand, I would simply open up my hands. -
Does masturbation before bed make it easier to fall asleep or harder to fall asleep? When I am feeling sleepy before bed, and I masturbate in spite of that, I feel a little more awake after ejaculating. Has anyone else had this experience? I thought masturbation would make one feel more sleepy, not less. But I want to see some science on this topic. This might just be the one thing that makes me stop masturbating.

@Nahm How do I let go of control? -

@Preety_India My point is that I don’t think that it’s as instinctual of a desire you say it is. Or maybe it’s just my experience? Did you ever feel like masturbating before your first time masturbating? @StarStruck Exactly. I have huge motivation problems. Do you do semen retention?
