@Meta-Man Yeah there are but I've been dealing with serious health issues over the past few years so I haven't been able to keep in contact. I hit it off with them pretty naturally, I just need to find the right one

@Javfly33 There are lots of options you may or may not have considered. Nofap will naturally give you more energy, cleaning up your diet will help, perhaps fixing any systemic health issues you may have, intermittent fasting helps too!

I'm unsure whether to convince my friends to pursue self-actualization or whether I'm leading them astray because they're content without it. Trying to look out for their best interests! Maybe if someone could just help clarify the topic in general that would help. Thanks.

Disposable cheap foam ones are surprisingly effective and comfortable for me. Expensive ones that aren't disposable are often uncomfortable and need washing which can be annoying.

@Forza-Spirito Good question. I'm not experienced enough to answer that myself but I suspect they're all pointing at facets of the same thing, i.e. realisations of God. Everyone will be unique and come at it from their own angle but the truth is unchanging and ever-present. Psychedelics all radically alter your perception of reality. Some are more similar to each other than others but it's almost impossible to describe in words. Shrooms can make you feel like the world is waving around you and colours and sounds go vivid and novel. Acid can give me synesthesia and i see complex mathematical patterns and moving parts - it's really beautiful. -

@Dazgwny Cool stuff man! I'd just make sure you don't overdo the tobacco though as it is an awful addiction to have (speaking from experience) -
He showed me that my perception of reality was not reality itself, and he exposed me to lots of advanced sources of information uncommon in our culture. This led me to huge paradigm shifts and thus tremendous personal growth that I can share with others which I am hugely grateful for. Thanks for all the hard work @Leo Gura

Does anyone know definitively if you do reincarnate after death or is this a bit of a leap of faith? Surely no one can truly know whether you really do reincarnate? If you do, do you have past lives? Do you reincarnate as every living thing? Even inanimate things? Where do you draw the lines between what you incarnate as? I'm just confused about how it could work if it is true. Thanks

I had severe heavy metal poisoning for about 5 years without knowing it thinking it was just the way I was. I entered hell for about 5 years with no end in sight. I saw many specialists but all of them were clueless until i figured it out for myself recently. The pain was verging on 10/10 and i considered suicide multiple times but I eventually made it through and now I'm healthy again thanks to my persistence and not to try to gloat but ingenuity. I'm just glad I took the initiative in the end, it saved me my life.

@Someone here So is there free will? Genuinely curious about trying to figure this stuff out -

So how does this body move that's typing these keys? Something seems to be controlling it... so confused -
Harmony342 replied to Harmony342's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Someone here 'I' am well aware that this self-referential thinking is somewhat an illusion but my experience seems to be surrounding a body that can be controlled, right? -

@Member I was joking haha -

@Someone here Mate I don't know who you're talking to, 'I' don't exist apparently -

@allislove I love what you just did. Thanks haha. Yeah the stuff that seems mundane really is indescribably beautiful when you take a closer look -

Surely if I'm infinite then I'll never know myself. And do I retain some sort of memory from one life to the next? What is a soul? I feel like no one has any idea really what's going on -

Sooooo... what am I right now? How do I define myself? Does anybody actually know for sure or is this mental masturbation? -
Harmony342 replied to BipolarGrowth's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
As a hypothetical, let's say we were to torture an enlightened being in the most unpleasant way conceivable. What would their reaction be to this torture as it was happening? Would they love the pain they were experiencing? I'm curious more than anything -
Can someone please clear up free will for me please? I find various conflicting sources of information but it never seems to clarify much for me

Same here! I used to look down on anyone who didn't pursue truth through science but I've come a very long way since then -
@Eren Eeager Possibly the sheer beauty of the output of the evolutionary process? I agree though the evolutionary process itself does seem pretty much mechanical at first look

Very interesting! Sounds about right to me, it's probably tied up with peoples' survival instinct through the addictive side of the smartphone, and identity & status tied up with the social media side. Plus people rely on them so heavily nowadays it's basically like an extended limb

But surely this is free will still? Surely no-one 'has to' avoid poverty, but chooses to avoid it given their associations and experiences with poverty? It seems like such a confusing topic to me. Sam Harris states we have no free will because thoughts arise without you controlling them. I don't think i agree with him entirely but he has a good point.

I think the vast majority of us would be amusingly terrified if we were actually confronted with death or torture or something similar. It takes someone very enlightened to not be phased by such a situation
