  1. “Presence of form in any realm signals unfulfilled desire” - Sri Yukteswar Giri
  2. With aspects of waking, dreaming and deep sleep, each of these having possibility to be manifest in actual (what we call) waking, dreaming and sleep states, in my view, unless we can retain unbroken awareness with freedom through all states, we yield to stupor. Then of course we have the fourth state of Turiya & Turiyatita* (* when Turiya is permanent). This has been explained at length by Swami Lakshmanjoo in his book ‘Shiva Sutras - The Supreme Awakening’.

  5. Accepting what is, on an as is where is basis, this (mind body) here knows not that it is in truth one with oneness. Why negate this ignorance, even if it is a self imposed hypnotic stupor? Even glimpses of the truth do not end delusion, owing to attention oscillation. Unless the clear light is assimilated within mind-body consciousness in permanence, the theoretical or even sporadic experiential knowledge of oneness is of no avail. We may continue to debate that the dreamed object (mind body) cannot awaken, for is is the dreamer (soul, spirit) who is the subject. However, unless subject and object merge seamlessly, we are still floundering about. My take on this subject.

  7. Who within self assesses enlightenment? I prefer the word alignment ... until no separation remains
  8. @Mvrs it possibly depends upon the degree of awareness accompanying consciousness expansion. Yet, what is, is unmistakable.
  9. Be it what we call waking or dreaming ... the key points we may like to consider are these: what is our response to the images as seeming reality manifest? are we aware of being aware or do we operate by our reflex instinct? why are we there? can we choose to be in silence & stillness within the movie?
  10. @Namlas It is indeed a divine blessing that you are experiencing oneness. Why not simply allow the divine energy of unconditional love to slowly assimilate within? When we use the word ‘demon’, are we not simply referring to an entity who is temporarily out of alignment with love? I do not know what videos of exorcism you refer to but all conflicts must be resolved by love alone. The entity who has ‘occupied’ the body of another also needs help to move into love & light. Once it recognises this, it moves out voluntarily. Forcible exorcism, if it eventually comes to that, is done by the Universe itself and not by the medium or priest involved, who simply act as an interface, being so enabled for the service.
  11. I guess we are our own best teacher, looking at: Stillness Acceptance that each acts as of their consciousness, thus feeling no sense of hurt and transcending need to forgive as a self healing exercise Gratitude Continuous contemplative consciousness correction Assuming responsibility Recognition of the illusionary nature of fear & desire Recognition that we are not the mind-body Internalising attention in quietude & silence Exiting stagnation by polarity rotation Meditation as an ever present orientation Surrender of this (identity) to That (our own divinity within) Identifying root cause of consciousness expansion vs contraction Non-judging, non-discrimination by choice Embracing and radiating love unconditionally without expectation of reciprocation or even recognition. Seeking connectivity with God rather than striving for an imagined attainment, ascension or enlightenment. Trusting the divine current to vivify our form in a manner and time frame of its choosing. Shifting from head to heart The scriptures of course are useful to quieten our lower mind. Personally, I like The Bhagavad Gita and Kashmir Shaivism teachings of Abhinavagupta, Lakshmanjoo etc (the triadic heart of Shiva is excellent) as also books and videos on meditation (Krishnamurthy, Tolle), non-duality (Sarvapriya Nanda, Rupert Spira), self inquiry etc. ... Naam or Word by Kirpal Singh etc etc ... there are so many! I like several of ‘Buddha at the gas pump’ interviews, off late I am enjoying Maharishikaa’s videos as well.
  12. @Death_ it is about a continuum of unbroken awareness. First, in the waking state we need to be aware of our flowing attention. Once we reduce our sleep walking or stupor during what we consider as our waking state, we may say that we are relatively more alert. This orientation of watchfulness then percolates into our sleep state, where we may frequently, if not daily, engage in lucid dreaming, meaning that we are aware during dreaming.

  14. We may say that meditation is awareness poised in relaxed nonchalance of astonishment & wonderment without thought. As such, it is not a doing, simply being an orientation of softened & acceptant internalised attention present in dynamic stillness. To get to this orientation, without stuporousness and yet without effort, it is helpful to begin with a purpose, as a prop, so to speak. In other words, something we enjoy ... where we do not have to look at the clock. Perhaps a melody, the sunset, shifting hues of a fragrance ... A tranquil calm and joyous centredness envelopes us. Dwell therein. Allow the continuum of what Is, to steer us inwards into blissful depths. Identity? It vaporises, automatically! And yet, we are. That.
  15. What a lively thread! The common factor amongst all spiritual seekers is to connect with our own divinity within. As such, not wanting to lose even a moment, yogic techniques emerge, to enable a direct experience. Evidently there are some who have posted here, who have so experienced. Yet, each path is unique. The fears and impurities are blockages individual to each. It may be presumptuous to affirm any singular path as absolute. To simplify, all being consciousness, the kundalini too is consciousness. Our consciousness, in aspects potential (Shiva) and kinetic (Shakti). The differentiated aspects create conditions for a throb, a current. Spanda. In fact, all of life, as we know it, is this throb. We feel it, cognise it, even in deep stillness, including Turiya. So as not to go off on a tangent, while conceding the interim benefits of kriya yoga or other induced techniques, the root is simply this: All is grace. Surrender of mind-body and our vicarious knowing (identity) is a prerequisite. For those here who have had a Kundalini awakening of some sort, as in felt, I am sure that if they compare their own experience as against that of another, including whatever may have been written (the written words are experiences of others), they will find differences. As such, beyond a point, over study becomes a mental blockage, since we attempt to anticipate the outcome before engaging, thereby limiting and even deflecting the pristinity of what is offered. Our burning yearning to connect with God within is the only orientation that is needed. As in prioritised. Of course, what I say, is an impulse I wish to share. In no way does it imply that any path including kriya yoga is unsuitable for the fearless and pure of heart, preferably taught on a one to one basis by a master, customising the transmission for the neophyte.
  16. @andreasj male and female are merely polarities, which we all have within form. Shiva & Shakti, potential & kinetic energy. If we get a PLR done we would surely find that we have had past lives of both genders. My view.
  17. @wesyasz thanks for the video link. Makes it simple.
  18. @Demeter Cannot comment on the drug use and how it impacts actuality of experiencing the void. In deep meditation, if it is meant to happen, we do experience the inky black void. In case we can quieten our identity and be still, we may become aware of the ॐ (Ohm) vibration or sound current. It may be possible to communicate with an adept or God as the case may be for us to imagine, where desires related to loving intent or even curiosity can be addressed. Quite a few are disconcerted in the void, being unfamiliar terrain ... we prefer manifestation and this is non-manifestation. As in all spiritual experiences, enjoy without apprehension! @Leilani what was your experience of the light? Was it a one time experience or did it reoccur?
  19. I read something along these lines : ‘the mind will not receive a truth it is not yet ready to receive’. I forget the name of the author or maybe the actual words but that is the message. Looking back, sure ... if we were taught that mind-body is an instrument and love is the only real God vibration and all we need to do is to align our in-form consciousness with our higher eternal Self, our thoughts, words and deeds would be different. However, experiencing cyclic joy & pain owing to ego cravings, the voluntary self realisation of what we know now, is possibly etched deeper in our consciousness. The learning is assimilated.
  20. @Heart of Space to reduce fear, if nothing else as in self understanding & acceptance helps, perhaps you can have a session with a proficient medium / healer.
  21. @Seed Theoretically, I don’t know about yoga as such other than what is in the tradition ... in books. The path I follow is continuous contemplative consciousnesses correction on a moment to moment basis. We may call it all time meditation for lack of an alternative term. Kundalini awakening happened slowly in my case, on its own. Usually, it is sudden and swift. I did nothing, just as in meditation we do nothing. We simply allow, devoid of fear or resistance. In my view, one micro step to reduce any one negativity within is worth more than a thousand practices. Take anger, envy, fear, desire, lust, hatred, sloth, selfishness ... just pick the one which we determine as dominant and throw it out. Completely. Once we do this, God takes care of the rest. The goal is God realisation. The path is irrelevant. All get to the roots, if we are sincere and pure of heart. @Seed well! well! well! Kundalini awakening. Why? To what end? What do we know about it? The more we read, the less we know. Kundalini is, simply stated, the energy path to ascension. Swift. Direct. Powerful. Artificial kundalini awakening techniques are either ineffective or dangerous. Why dangerous? Because our own fears, deluded beliefs and mind-body attachment are the blockages. Without going into the theory, which is both time consuming as well as debatable, simply stated, the kundalini is the kinetic or feminine aspect of our own energy dormant at the base of our spinal column within our energy or pranic body. When aroused, it ascends through nadis or conduits to unite with the potential or male component at the crown of our head. It requires to transit through energy centres or chakras to get there. Sounds like a fairy tale! Anyway, the takeaway is this: when the goal is realising a God-consciousness or our own divinity within, how does it matter which path is taken or which instrument is employed? Whether kundalini ascends or grace descends or of awakening is spontaneous, what about it? Before we embark on any path, our own purity of being is essential. Erasure of fears & desires rooted in attachment to the transient. Or we may say, exiting delusion. Taking it that all said above is not convincing, if artificial methods are used for kundalini awakening prematurely, say by breath or physical techniques such as Khechari mudra or even concentration, know that once the energy rises, it will take the path of least resistance. Thus, if it flows through the solar channel, for example and our own fear blocks any chakra, we may have a kind of nerve burn damage. Therefore, I would strongly advise against such gymnastics. Stay loose. Relax. Let’s not take our identity so seriously. Have fun. Trust in God. Follow the voice of conscience. Become childlike. Be loving, empathetic, joyful, compassionate. There is nothing else we need to do. Just be. In the present moment continuum. Enjoy!
  22. @Leilani in my view, love is the only real vibration ... the God vibration. Every other vibration is a thought construct. Love transcends thought. Love is available right here and right now. If we choose to resonate. Our affinity or desire determines which vibration we choose. Now, after death, all that happens is that we shed form. What dies is the earth interface. We, as consciousness continue, being eternal. No doubt, we then ‘see‘ spherically from the loving domain of oneness but are we love enabled at our core? We each can answer for ourselves!
  23. @electroBeam In my view, detachment is diametrically opposite to indifference, even though outwardly both may appear to be the same. Just like aloneness & loneliness are opposites. Perhaps the recognition that manifested duality is transient makes some of us so stable that any happening does not cause a ripple in our tranquility.
