  1. ? Unfortunately for the individual, horrible is amazing. ❤️ (Which is also fortunate)
  2. The appearance is there but isn’t there. Would you know if you weren’t there? You’d probably agree that you would not. I’m gonna just come out and say you aren’t there now. And, oh yeah, you don’t know it. Hmm. It’s not even that there’s nothing you can do, it’s actually worse and it’s not even the same (in the story): there is no you.
  3. Hmm. Might seem like consciousness is the one thing that can’t be illusory but that’s actually not true if we’re talking about dualistic consciousness or anything that could be equated with knowing. There isn’t something outside of everything that could possibly know it — because obviously then it wouldn’t be everything, but since there is only everything, knowing is dreaming.
  4. The me can realize all sorts of amazing things in the dream. That could be called personal enlightenment or consciousness work. If you want to be happy, establish a daily meditation practice and let it blossom. Don’t strive. Any diligence can be applied to just setting aside an hour a day to sit. Or experiment with whatever cool practices are available — self inquiry, jhanas, yoga, self love... On the other hand... Nothing doesn’t exist (it’s no-thing), so it isn't finite — it’s infinite. Nothing is (appears as) everything. There’s no room for a you that could ever actually know it’s liberated. There‘s only everything, which happens to be nothing. This is already everything — the incomprehensible, so nobody knows it, which is exactly why “you” don’t know it. Nobody ever does.
  5. Psychedelics are just another experience. They raise consciousness, but do absolutely nothing (and I really do mean nothing at all, whatsoever) for liberation (of which there is none, for the me). Nothing doesn’t exist, so it can’t be finite. It’s therefore infinite. Therefore nothing is (appears as) everything. In case you don’t already intuitively get this, there’s no you that could ever know it’s liberated. There is only everything, which happens to be nothing. To be dramatic, you have no clue how close to that which you fear and crave most, death, this is — it isn’t even close, life is death.
  6. Pure selflessness would in fact take THIS on, which is why it seems to be happening.
  7. If you wanted to say ALL there is is consciousness, you could. But you could also say all there is is unconditional love, no-thing, everything, or whatever. Just as long as it’s all the same. It’s certainly not consciousness or love as anyone knows it. It’s not consciousness that involves knowing either, so it doesn’t necessarily seem right (or wrong) to call it consciousness. How could anything exist outside of everything in order to know it? Knowing is an illusion, but its appearance is still not outside of everything.
  8. 1. They’re narcissistic and they freak out 2. they’re narcissistic and they don’t give a fuck, have fun, no insight 3. they’re more on the “good“ spectrum and they freak out 4. they’re more on the good subjective spectrum and they either go on or off course, according to their dream.
  9. Understanding is an oxymoron. Understanding the infinite is as oxymoronic as it gets.
  10. Anything can be used for spirituality. Self love is probably the most effective practice for the me, but if you were perhaps trying to liberate... Keep on keepin on if you want, but anyway... nothing is doing this. This may be misleading: Y’all... There is no me and nothing needs to change. What a me can’t possibly hear is: this is already paradise. What a me is even more afraid of admitting (because it wants to live) is: that it’s absolutely obvious.
  11. Imagine a coin going around one of those funnels in Walmart from like the 90’s. No fucking clue if literally anyone else knows what I’m talking about. Just some coin or marble going around and around. Until it’s going pretty fast as the circumference of its concentric path gets smaller. Imagine that going on literally forever. Smaller and smaller. Awakenings are actually infinite and they have no purpose. There is no limit to apparent awakening for an individual. It’s never actual. There is actually no liberation because there’s no individual. It can actually be okay for the worst possible torture to happen. It can be ok even for that to not be ok. The only imaginary problem is that someone cares or even does anything at all. And yet you’ll keep on keepin on. And that’s totally fine. It’s perfection.
  12. Good plan. If someone knows they’re dead, who’s dead? If someone doesn’t know they’re dead, who’s dead?
  13. In the dream? Of course it’s a problem. Hell, it can be terrifying. Anything can happen. There’s no safety for the dream individual. There is no individual though. The individual believes it and everything else is real — it seems to create that separation, but it’s just what seems to happen. It’s nothing happening; perfection appearing as imperfection. It doesn’t see the emptiness, because it is emptiness, and it’s everything. There is no real separation. It is awesomely hopeless, yes. It knows there’s a difference between hope and hopelessness, and it knows it’s real — that’s a problem for the dream, but not for what is.
  14. Again, just adding an inquiry here, but who could possibly find truth if there is nobody? Theres a reason why the dark night is so widely reported as being quite a harrowing experience. It seems like it couldn’t really be that bad, and then boom, divine hopelessness. But hope and hopelessness are the same. Everything is the same.
  15. Notice how beliefs arise. Beliefs are not a problem. Technically, there is no problem, but for the illusory separate self (which by the way, isn’t happening), those beliefs meaning something, or needing to mean something, is the problem. Need is no-need. No-need is need. Meaning is no-meaning. No-meaning is meaning. Notice how this, what’s apparently happening, is indescribable. Try to describe it, and notice how the process of trying to describe it, too, is utterly indescribable.
  16. How can you know any of that when there isn’t a you? Thats not a criticism, just an added inquiry. Looks awesome.
  17. Yep. Everything, including everything you described, is the something more. All of it, including the frustration. It’s perfection appearing as imperfection. Nothing is everything. Reason is no-reason. There’s no separation; no duality. It’s a joke that nobody has to get.
  18. He seems to have achieved a type of awakening called arahatship. It comes from balancing insight meditation and Samatha. Jhanas help, and he’s achieved the main 8 (haven’t heard him talk about the last 5, Pure Land Jhanas). It’s pretty lofty as far as awakening goes, an extremely rare achievement. I’ve also noticed he’s described the witness, so he’s done enough self inquiry to get to that state too. No idea if he got the Ramana style goal of self inquiry. Probably did. None of that is liberation. Nobody can get liberation because there isn’t anybody lol.
  19. Animals are probably already liberated. It may just be humans that have the apparent me illusion. If you’re referring to personal enlightenment/awakening, then yeah they probably aren’t ever awakened, but awakening in that way is not liberation in the ultimate sense.
  20. There can arise beliefs, but nobody has any clue what they mean.
  21. Not really. They have no one to talk to but they still arise. Meditation and inquiry can certainly reduce apparent thought frequency, but contrary to what some may assume, that actually has no relationship to awakening.
  22. Meditation and detachment can appear to help the me a lot. It doesn’t actually help though — maybe don’t take that statement as anything important though — there’s just no one to help, but that’s meaningless to the apparent “someone“ who’s struggling. Liberation is never caused, but I will say there seems to be an intuition here that self-inquiry and, perhaps far more importantly, coaxing a (non) understanding of emptiness (truly just simply not knowing that appearances are exclusively real), can “actually“ “help.” Again, there is nobody to help and there never was. And by the way, those appearances that appear to be seen as exclusively real are all encompassing. I’m talking about the fact that you know you’re here, or now, or that the past actually happened; about the appearance that the distance between you and the computer/phone screen in front of you is actually based in any kind of reality whatsoever. Those are quite literally all false, as is everything else you could ever know.
  23. Yeah. It’s just what appears to be happening.
