  1. @Danioover9000 Before the 11th century when majestic cathedrals started to get built, Western Europe had basically no noteworthy buildings. With maybe the Dom in Aachen and some churches in Italy being the only exception. They definitely knew about Rome, think Holy Roman Empire or the Byzantine Empire which was a continuation of the Roman Empire.
  2. @Danioover9000 Of course! before the war, it was hard for me to respect Ukraine as a country because they were so undefined and didn't have their noses pointed in one direction. Yet another point where Putin smelled weakness though ironically he did them a big favor here. It turned out that Ukraine was the sleeping bear and not Russia.
  3. Sure, the idea is from Athens, and Britain also has a democratic tradition, though the war started because Americans did not feel represented. It was about Americans asserting their right as Americans (Bald eagle sound in background*). In historical terms having a 240-year-old chain of 44 presidents that freely gave up power after term limit or elections is pretty fu*king revolutionary. Of course, there was a civil war and a dent in that chain as of late. But the experiment is nonetheless marching on. Russia also has redeeming qualities. They kicked Hitlers' ass, which is about as redeeming as you can get. There is also something poetic about how unpoetically Russians suffer and shoot themselves in the foot constantly. I meant more about whether it's good foreign policy to be constantly preaching about human rights. Of course, it's going to turn them off but on the other hand, America can use its power leverage to make countries think twice before they commit some questionable action like chopping up a journalist. Though in that particular case, I think America shot itself in the foot by just hammering it down so relentlessly because it totally alienated the Saudis which has bad geopolitical consequences for them.
  4. The redeeming factor of America is that despite everything it started and progressed as an experiment in democracy.
  5. NATO was kinda pussyfooting with Ukraine. Ukrainians themselves wanted to join but Nato conducted itself very indecisively and without clear direction. My guess is that Putin took this as a weakness that contributed to his overconfidence and his expectation for a short and decisive war. But yeah Ukraine is now fighting a war that is going to be massively decisive to its history and the direction they go in as a nation. Like you cannot say to 1700's colonial America: "Don't fight the British, make a compromise of some sort, you need to understand the geopolitical position of the British besides they are a superpower much stronger than you."
  6. But that point seems to be mute as Ukraine and especially America seems to be winning. Because of this war, Ukraine seems like a strong sovereign country rather than a borderland bitch of superpowers with no sense of direction. Realistically it was communism and the "glorious Soviet Union" that butchered traditional Russian culture. America is going to build a Mcdonald's or two but not blow up Orthodox churches. Do you think the West is wrong for constantly preaching morals and human rights to underdeveloped regions? Like the Kasshogi murder by Saudi Arabia. The Americans just kept hammering it for years. So no wonder Saudi Arabia is now getting closer to Iran and China.
  7. Why not pick up during your commute, of course, if you pass on a daily basis some busy centers and stations that will be ideal. Don't just focus on malls, you will burn them out quickly and you don't want to feel like the village/mall idiot. As a beginner, you should do long city walks as for maximum anonymity and room to fuck up. Don't judge yourself or beat yourself up, you're taking action! Being good at day game is a powerful life skill, a superpower really. It's not some frivolous gimmick to get laid, respect the process. The beauty of pick up is it's not really about getting laid, it's about one of the most real forms of self-development there is. If you don't get some freak luck, (and this happens too in this field). Only in a few years of consistent action, you'll get to a level where you can get girls somewhat consistently. Your vision should be somewhere along these lines: Yeah, in my twenties I didn't pursue girls but I still got my 30's (and beyond) for amazing girls and relationships, I will use the rest of my 20s to solidify this skill for consistent results and great confidence in my 30's.
  8. It's Ukraine's free will to join the West. Russia is the one shooting for not doing as they say. My family is from Russia so I actually had a lot of pro-Russian bias (and in a sense still do). Honestly, I care more for Russia than for Ukraine. I actually had resentment for Ukrainian nationalists but this war has put everything in perspective, also for many Ukrainians with a Russian bias as well. The facts on the ground show that Ukraine is mountains higher than Russia in its values and manifesting virtue. Russia is corrupted by a big fat (wounded) imperial ego. Otherwise, Ukrainians and Russians are of course very similar in mentality.
  9. Nato was kinda pussyfooting with Ukraine but besides that, I don't know what's the point of blaming America. That's fucking insulting to the Ukrainians heroically fighting, they take full responsibility for paying the price of manifesting their will. It's simple: being with the west= freedom and future, with Russia=non-freedom and stagnation. America gave Ukraine a fighting chance by training its army after 2014, if that didn't happen, Ukraine would have been a bitch of geopolitics. Sacrificed for "geopolitical balance". This whole war has undone me from a lot of stage-green sentiment about war. Now I have immense respect for all the people in history that fought for their independence and even existence on the basis of higher ideals. Americans are absolutely fucking right to idealize Washington as are Russians their victory in ww2 and the French their revolutions. All of these people gave their lives so future generations would live under a better system or simply just live, that alone commands enormous humility and respect from current generations. Ukraine in not only fighting in self-defense in the most literal sense (not some more abstract geopolitical sense.) They are also fighting for higher ideals and values than the old Russian/Authoritarian/Soviet ones.
  10. This is your most fundamental issue, Living with your parents as a young man is oppressive as hell. This may only work if you have a strong focus on getting a diploma but other than that it will stifle your development in all other fields. Also of all the women you see most are your family members so... yeah... no wonder.
  11. @zurew Do you know such a person, or if not how would you imagine such a person?
  12. It's not about "morality" or "argument". It will fuck you up. You are welcome to prove me wrong by seducing your sister.
  13. Haha NO! What's wrong with you people. Incest will fuck you up psychology, there is a reason it only happens in very fringe situations. consensual incest by two mentally healthy adults only happens when they live for many years somewhere in a cabin in the middle of a forest and never come across other human beings. I would say donkey fucking is 100x more common than incest. Also, you can get pregnancy scares with safe sex. Now imagine a society where incest is normal, do you think all people will practice 100% safe sex all the time? Ha, certainly not the degenerates that will do incest.
  14. I would say that incest fantasies are part of the sexual process of the human mind. A mother's warmth and feminity is basically every guys most primal and meaningful interaction with the feminine, his mind will sexualize this energy because that is how he interacts with all other feminine energies post-puberty. Subconsciously he seeks in women for the same energy as received from his mother. This whole thing is similar to women fantasizing about rape but not wanting the actual rape. Some people on this thread sound like girls arguing for rape just because they have the fantasies.
  15. For the record: IT'S NOT OKAY TO DO ACTUAL INCEST! you can argue your open-mindedness and progressiveness all you want but go ahead, and have actual sex with a sibling or parent. How will this impact your life? In the real world, people will fuck a donkey before they have sex with a sibling. realistically incest only happens in situations of hardcore isolation, absolute innocence/ignorance (like with mentally challenged people or sexually immature children), or as abuse and rape. It is however totally okay to have fantasies and to make certain projections onto a sexual partner. Whatever get you off.
  16. I think the taboo about cousin marriages is mostly unjustified because the rise in the risk of genetic dysfunctions is still very small. However, even doing that over generations might lead to weaker stock that is more vulnerable to unexpected environmental change or some new disease. The royal families of 1800's Europe were notoriously vulnerable to haemophilia, a horrible disease. Queen victoria transmitted it to the son of Czar Nikolai the second. In nature, sex exists for a reason and that is to have genetic diversity so as to be more adaptable to your changing environment and all kinds of viruses and diseases. Organisms that do not reproduce via sex like mourning gecko's have in a sense an advantage in that they don't need to waste precious energy finding a mate and they can multiply very fast and efficiently but on the other hand a small change in their environment can kill them off 100% because they are all literally exact genetic copies of each other. @trenton I know you want to leave "unprotected sex" out of this, even though that's kinda impossible (especially when we talk about societal normalization). But ask yourself this: do you want to live in a country or society where incest is normalized? Do you think that this society will be a healthy one?
  17. I used to do it on a regular basis but now I just cannot move myself to do it. My last trip was a half year ago and was for me a very deep one. Today I woke up, the sun was shining, no obligations, yet I cannot put myself to it. In a sense, I am too satisfied with life to go through the ordeal of a trip even though it's mostly very beneficial and positive overall. realistically I need some kind of depression to get me motivated otherwise I am way too comfortable to take the plunge into the cold water. But on the other hand, I also know that this is not a healthy motivation to have and is best done when feeling good, what should I do?
  18. I like how this thread so quickly yet so gracefully evolved into being about eating and inhaling shit But I got some AL Lad and LSD laying around, maybe my next adventure.
  19. I feel I kinda lost my edge lately because my life is now good and full with all kinds of passions and also a decent spiritual connection. My whole dynamic is that whenever I feel down in life, I regain my edge and my risk tolerance goes way up. It's hard for me to say but maybe I am naturally just not that ambitious
  20. @Tobia Russian army is exceptionally barbaric. They have no qualms about wiping villages and whole cities off the map. In fact, that is their whole strategy. Always has been from Chechnia to Afghanistan. Actually, a big reason why Russia (ironically enough) is so respected in those regions is that they know that they don't fuck around when it comes to fighting wars. In the middle east and Africa, they love Russia because they speak the same language and they hate America for helping them with one hand and bombing them with the other. For them, that's a whole new level of treachery and evil.
  21. I am this selfish "corrupted" being trying to uncover God. But also notice how beautiful I am despite being a demon.
  22. It actually isn't. Don't be so fearful. After sex, you are on top of the dating power dynamic but by being so fearful you will lose this position.
  23. @Danioover9000 Eastern European history is all about committing horrible atrocities onto each other and thereafter living together as if nothing happened.
  24. Yeah of course, they have a shared history, similar culture, mentality and the same Slavic "vibe". Though Russia has a big imperial ego while Ukraine does not and wants association with the west.
  25. @withinUverse Thanks My profile pic is a demon as imagined by Mikhail Vrubel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Vrubel I once felt like that Demon while on psychedelics.
