Tim R replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@EntheogenTruthSeeker I think your understanding of what it means to "ground" yourself is a bit off. To ground yourself means to get in touch with survival and life again, but in a conscious way. Find ways of literally getting in touch with different things or people. It might be friends, family, nature, animals, your body, exercise, diet, etc. I'm really not sure if fasting is a good way of grounding yourself, maybe someone else with fasting experience can say a few words on that? Same goes for float tank and dark room retreat, they are not good ways for grounding. To be grounded in yourself and life means to feel stable. You need to simplify your life, not introduce float tanks, fasting or some impoverished meat diet. You need to feel like someone who lives and works on a farm, who has a very direct and firm grip on life. Grounding also means to take it easy. You don't want to strain yourself, either mentally or physically. And all the things you listed will not make your life easier, on the contrary. -
Hello and welcome to the forum✌ Could you explain what exactly is your confusion?

Here you go. -
Just look for "Solipsism". Because that's at the core of your question. But I can tell you this already: solipsism is not real. However, "other people" are also not real. To understand what this means, you really need to do some consciousness work and contemplation. Consciousness is, but no one who is conscious. And by the way, before you dig through the old threads: there's a lot of speculation and mental masturbation going on in some of those threads, so watch out for that.

@look_inside Use the search function. There are many, many threads about this sort of question already.

Microdosing is between 6µg - 15µg Macro dose depends on how sensitive you are. For some, 50µg is already a good trip, but 100µg is generally the standard macro dose. -

This question is based on the assumption of "one's best interest". But what is one's best interest? Aka "what do I want". That's the key question. Because look, whatever the answer is, you're still going to act in your "best interest", whatever that might mean for you - even when you think you act contrary to your "best interest", because whatever you do, you're doing it out of the motivation of "this is what I want to do". But this is a very counter-intuitive thing to see. Especially when on the surface, it seems that one is not acting in "one's best interest" (again, you must watch out for what you mean by that) and that one does something one "doesn't want to do". After a certain point, what I want and what I don't want is a duality that can collapse. You can see this quite clearly with self-destructive behavior patterns. To go back to your question: should you pursue anything? No. "Should" is arbitrary and also based on the assumption of "best interest". The point is to realize that whatever you do, you can't get out of "I'm acting selfishly". Then you try to stop acting selfishly but you find that this is also selfishly motivated. So you get to the point of utter and complete frustration (if you really try hard), and there you can see through the whole thing and realize: I cannot not want, but I also cannot want - and both are hoaxes anyway, because I didn't know who I am. -

Tim R replied to spiritualryan's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@spiritualryan If you are located inside your head, then how come you can experience things which are outside your head? Think before you answer, it's not as obvious as it might seem. Language is a very tricky thing. Edit: and after that, observe what "inside" and "outside" your head actually are and whether such places even exist. -

Don't microdose every day. Microdosing every day is a waste of acid. Tolerance forms even at low doses, and the second dose doesn't have as strong of an effect. Also, the second day can have very pleasant effects, it's like an afterglow. Enjoy that. Microdosing in general is aimed at improving long term well-being, not getting a tiny boost every day which you have to renew the next day. The best strategy I've come across so far is the Fadiman dosing plan: One day on, two day off, one day on, two days off, etc. Do that maybe for 2 weeks or a month and then lay off for a while, see how it goes. LSD isn't physically addictive, but you can develop psychological forms of craving (as with basically everything that exists). If you want to work your way to a normal dose step by step, I suggest you ramp it up slowly. See how you react to 20µg or 25µg. Half a blotter can be what 100µg is like for normal people, if you're sensitive. Experiment and enjoy the process -

@Javfly33 Empathy and awareness doesn't mean to just allow everything. -

@EntheogenTruthSeeker The problem is that your posts are mostly rambling. And to confuse bipolar with "full on enlightenment" is a very dangerous and irresponsible thing to do, because they are not the same, sorry. You're promoting mental distress. People suffer intensely from these things and then you come along and tell them "don't worry, you're enlightened". That's a problem. Also, your ramblings about Jesus are just not helpful to anyone. I'm saying all this with good intentions. You really need to ground yourself (which means stop confusing mania with enlightenment). -
"Is microdosing good?" The answer is "it depends". It's great for me. Might not be great for you, how are we supposed to know? Microdosing is a mood booster, essentially. Don't expect 7-15µg to raise your consciousness substantially. It may aid you in consciousness work if you're sensitive - a couple of days ago I had a very profound insight into the nature of consciousness, and I suspect the eighth of a blotter I took that day was related to that. But guess what, most people who microdose won't have any profound insights because they don't do the work. And it's the work that twill raise you consciousness, not the drug. The drug is only a catalyst. Overall, md is a helpful thing, but as I said, it depends on the individual. It also depends on your intentions and on your psychology - for example, if you have ADHD, md might really be helpful. If you have anxiety, md might make it better or worse. If you are healthy, md will act as a mood booster. The point of md is to take the dose in the morning and then forget that you did so. You'll simply have a pretty good day and 6 hours in you'll say "oh wow, it sure is a nice day, I wonder whether this is because of the md I took".

Tim R replied to Alan Reji's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Alan Reji It's just a game we play. Like children love to play pretending to be someone else.. Play long enough and you'll forget that you were only pretending. When a child plays being a pirate, there is no real pirate. The child doesn't have a pirate nor actually is a pirate. The "pirate" is nowhere to be found... Likewise, your ego is nowhere to be found. I mean, don't just take my word for granted, go look for yourself. Try to find your ego. No need, like everything else -

"Emotion" is a thought. "Perception" is a thought. But when in meditation thoughts have subsided, there won't be any emotions, or perceptions - this doesn't mean that your consciousness will be empty and there's just nothing going on, but you will experience emotions, perceptions and thoughts without labeling them as that. There will simply be...that! And after a certain point, you won't even call it "that" anymore. "Thought" itself is just another thought. It's like someone who has managed to fool you into believing that he could lift himself up by his bootstraps. You will function even better than before. Yes, you can't do it. Just let it happen and be patient. -
Tim R replied to blueplasma's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@blueplasma Neither, since they are identical Consciousness is what is. And so is love. Imagine you would never say "no" to anything. You would never exclude the existence of anything, in other words, everything that "wants" to be, can be and is. Imagine to accept everything 100% as it is. Imagine to be 100% selfless. Imagine to embrace everything so much, that it is literally indistinguishable from yourself. Can you see how I just gave you a description of love? Notice, that this very same description I just gave you, is also a description of the universe. Consciousness is the ground of existence. Within consciousness, everything is. You could not have anything without consciousness. You can even make a quick little experiment to validate this for yourself. Imagine a "thing" but no consciousness to be aware of that thing. Would this be possible? Would this thing exist? This all embracing selflessness that is consciousness, is the same as existence and also the same as love. -
Leo talks about learning from the mistakes others have made before you and that you can learn from that, instead of having to go through all those traps yourself. But is this really possible? I'm not quite sure how this form of learning is as "valid" let's say as learning from experiencing your own mistakes. Because then you really know, you felt what went wrong and therefore really have a deep connection to the error you made. But when learning from other people's mistakes, this connection doesn't really exist, so how can you really learn from the mistakes of other people?

Rather, the present moment is 100% an identity - so much so, that it's not even an "identity of the two". "Nothing lasts" has two meanings -
Keep it to a minimum. Don't rant. It's not cool. When we talk about consciousness, reality or whatever, it sounds completely normal and at times even boring. But to "normal" people it doesn't. Their ears are not at all used to hearing such things and of course it will make them think that you're either just woo woo at best or totally insane and deluded at worst. Even with people who are close to you, keep it cool. The thing with actually crazy people is that they don't know how to or sometimes even can't live in two worlds at once. They only live in their world and don'T know how to play the game of society and everyday human life.

@King Merk Very good. Many people neglect working on the basics and it takes a lot of wisdom to know when to stop and take care of other important things. Wisdom is the ability to set the right priorities. Don't think that you're somehow "going back" or "regressing". On the contrary... You can always come back, consciousness won't run away Good luck!

Tim R replied to machiavelli's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@machiavelli I advise you to stop it. They are not into this stuff and you will most certainly not convince anybody of anything by posting such things. You're exactly like a priest of some sect who yells out all kinds of outlandish things in the middle of the street. People just don't like this sort of behavior, and for good reasons. You need to learn when to stop talking about such things. To them, you seem crazy and deluded, what did you expect? Let people live their lives. After all, they don't try to drag you into their stuff, so why would you do it? -
Tim R replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yin Yang I know that all of you know this one, but do you also know what each dot in the two monades and the words "Yin" and "Yang" originally mean? The dots mean that the white implies the black and the black implies the white - i.e., both always already contain the "seed" of each other. Give birth to Yin and you simultaneously get Yang and vice versa. "Yin" means the north side of a mountain, where there isn't any light, the shadow side. "Yang" means the south side of a mountain, where the snow reflects white light from the sun. The literal meaning is "bright-black". -

This is what is called Indra's Net and it shows the interdependence of everything in the cosmos. Everything contains everything else, like an infinite web covered with dew drops contains itself as a fractal to infinity. -
Tim R replied to RMQualtrough's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Show me "two experiences". There is no such thing. Whatever there is, is. And there cannot be "two". Being doesn't exist as "two". There are no two "is". "Multiplicity" is not the same as "separation". Because truly, nothing can be separated from anything else, or it wouldn't be. Everything = Everything You can't have anything but everything. All words create the appearance of there being something. "Something" is seeming division from "itself". Exactly. Nice analogy. There wouldn't be the necessity for HD one to experience HD two, if they were identical. But because identity of two things already excludes there being two things, there is only one experience, seeming to divide itself into many. There is only consciousness, but no one who is conscious. -

I think it's a really nice answer. Considering the fact that he didn't have any mystical experiences, what he says sounds relatively good and it's definitely going in the right direction. To be honest, I even find it a little bit sad that his mind is so much in the way of him really understanding these things. You can see how he would really like to understand what he's saying and what he has long suspected deep inside... That there actually is a transcendent element to life. He even knows that consciousness is fundamental (or at least he very, very strongly suspects that, only his academic background kinda keeps him stuck in a materialistic world view) but he doesn't yet know how. I still wonder what would happen if he saw Leo's analysis video. And what he would be like if he overcame his shadow (oh the irony, he as a psychologist and admirer of Jung doesn't recognize his own shadow)... I owe him a lot and I have empathy for him. He is one of the few people I wish would gain the insights they desire in their hearts.
