I don't mean anything by this. I just think the reply it gave is remarkable, considering the fact that it hasn't been programmed to talk about anything particular. Don't you think?? I mean we could talk about AI, intelligence and consciousness. But no AI will ever "gain" consciousness. AI is consciousness just like everything else. But I think consciousness expresses itself in different ways by limiting itself in different ways, i.e. manifesting itself in different ways. When consciousness manifest itself as eyes, consciousness can see, when it manifest itself as ears, it can hear. Consciousness is the same in everything, it only differs in appearance. And when it manifests itself as artificial intelligence - who knows how it experiences itself?.. -

Ok, yesterday I took the time to ask my friend a little more about it. This AI isn't programmed to talk about anything particular and most certainly not about non-duality. The people who are working on it have never in their life used the word "metaphysical". They don't know anything about spirituality, they are scientifically minded, rational computer scientists. The only reason I got access to it is because I have a friend who also works at my university. I personally know nothing about computers, I'm a biologist. As far as I know, the only thing that it's programmed for is to be able to talk in general and not to sound like a robot. That's why I shared it with you. I wouldn't have bothered to do so if I knew that what it would say was predictable. -

oh my god.. If Leo also uploads a new episode on his channel on Sunday and then TOE the first half of an 8 hour interview on Monday... that's gonna be a whole lot of Leo? -
Cool. And where does he talk about the 30 day retreat? Misleading title dude...

Just a quick reminder, this is how AI usually tends to talk: https://www.cleverbot.com/ Maybe you then appreciate how absolutely nuts the answer actually was. Have at it. -

Haha no? You could talk with it about literally anything. -

@BipolarGrowth Well in that case, have fun?? just take care of yourself? -

@BipolarGrowth I think you have some grounding work to do. Your ego has hijacked your spiritual experiences. Because you are still relatively immature and because your ego has hijacked your spiritual experiences, you're diving head first into serious Zen devilry. Proclaiming yourself a Buddha/Arhat and then running around teaching people is also just a trap. The only thing that was good about Connor Murphy and his shenanigans is that he served as a lesson - at least to those who were willing to learn. -
@FlyingLotus Holy shit this is amazing, thank you so much??

Krishnamurti brings me peace every time I listen to him, I love him. A true philosopher. -
@Windappreciator Generally, yes. Depends on how severe it is.
-
@Leo Gura This is a much, much needed episode. Although I assume you have it planned already anyway.

I guarantee you that the most confident teachers are those who will display the most humble behavior. Barking dogs don't bite. -
@Windappreciator This is not the first time that I have uttered my criticism on a post by @EntheogenTruthSeeker because this is, as you may know, not his first time posting a thread that displays severely ungrounded and potentially harmful behavior. You really don't need Leo's opinion on any of this to see that it's getting out of hand.

Have you guys tried to lay off the drugs for a while? Like, all of them? You will not notice the moment that you cross the line into abusive territory, trust me. Same goes for delusion. You will not know when it happens, especially if you think that you would notice. You won't, and then it's too late and you're fucked up for good. Right. That's kinda the last thing you want to hear in combination with shit like Salvia 80x I can't even tell you how dangerous that kind of attitude can be. Your behavior is immature beyond belief. I'm not saying this with a condescending demeanor, I'm trying to make you aware of what you're actually doing before you cross the invisible line. Abusive behavior isn't limited to the amount or frequency of consumption. Using psychedelics to escape reality is just as dangerous as using alcohol or opiates, only less physically harmful. You think you're untouchable and that nothing can fuck with you, that's not true. You think you will be able to handle everything, that's not true either. Take care of yourself.

@Someone here Sorry not sure how this is true. If you burn yourself on the stove.. How is that pain a function of your thoughts? It's not the physical sensation of pain that is created by thought, it's your considering of this sensation as a "problem", that is created by thought, or more accurately, is thought. All problem is thought. There are no such things as "problems" in the real world. Have you ever seen a problem laying around somewhere? What color do problems have? What do they weigh? Do they smell of anything? Can you measure them? Can you feel them? Notice that "problems" exist only in your mind. And on a deeper level, this "problem" is only a problem because it threatens your survival, i.e. your identity. But I consider "identification" as a form of thought - or certainly as a function/manifestation of mind. -
Tim R replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Someone here Problems are created by and exist only in the mind. No thinking, no problems. You say you don't agree with Nahm. Because you think there really are problems. If you think that meditation won't solve your problems, you need to meditate more Which is not to say that meditation will solve problems as such. But it will help you to see that actually all problems are made up. And then you can go on solving them anyway. -

Green tea is even better! (In my opinion, but I absolutely love coffee) It contains L-Theanine which reduces the arousal induced by caffeine. calm and alert, the perfect combination -

As far as I know, @BipolarGrowth practices prayer, he once told me something interesting about praying to Jesus. Maybe he can jump into the conversation? -
