Tim R replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@WokeBloke There isn't anybody in the entire universe "having" any experiences or "being conscious". In other words, there are no subjects (or objects). Everything and everybody is made from the same "stuff", which is consciousness. There aren't any subjects "who are conscious" of any objects. It's consciousness. Get that. Saying "subjects are conscious" would be like saying "water is wet". But water isn't wet. Water is wetness itself!! It is it! You understand? Just like you don't need water to be wet, you don't need anybody there to be conscious. You see? The table in front of you doesn't have to be conscious. Neither do you. You are not conscious, you are consciousness. And so is the table. You will only understand this once you collapse the illusory distinction between the subject and the object, that is to say between "the one who is conscious" and "that which you are conscious of". Now stop speculating and go meditate or whatever?❤ -

My brother got me a book by Osho as a birthday present "Courage: The Joy of Living Dangerously", it has some pretty good reviews. -

Exactly. Trying to do something, trying to not do something. Both are attempts to do something. I'd rather have you try to do something instead of pretending to not do something. Because if you really didn't do anything about it - then why attend Neo Advaita Satsangs? Why watch Anna Brown videos? Why says to yourself and others "there's nothing to do, nothing to achieve, this is it." ? At least you will get frustrated quicker when trying to do something -
One of the YT comments.. Man I wonder what the world would look like if we had a teacher like that when we were boys
-
I love how he teaches the boys that it's okay to cry and that it's okay to be afraid. Love. It. He's like the archetypal father or something, man this is amazing to watch, even makes me tear up haha
-
That's amazing. This teacher is truly wise and kind.

Fair enough. Now the question is: so what? Doubting everything that people say makes you go crazy. -

Ok I think you're projecting. If I told you: "I was going for a walk today", would you think I made that up? -

What do you mean exactly? Could you give an example? -
I mean he's right, the less you have, the less you have to care for, but that's just part of the game we're playing. He's playing the monk game, we're playing the social game. It can be great fun to worry about hair and clothes just don't overdo it

@Mason Riggle Well, that's kinda the main argument why he was there... But the answer is of course "no, he had no business being there." I think he just wanted a legal reason to shoot somebody.

Dude... That way you will certainly not find anyone to chat with.

@Vivaldo If you want people here to show interest you will have to become interesting. Why not become an active forum member if you're so interested in discussing Leo's content? After all, that's what this place is for.

@eTorro Doesn't really make it better, does it?

@Knowledge Hoarder The problem is; it doesn't only influence the unvaccinated. When they occupy the ICUs, they unnecessarily rob other people of medical capacities. If you would suddenly drop all restrictions and "give them freedom", the health care system would completely collapse within a week or two and then everybody is screwed. -

Not yet but it's also on my to-do-list? (for almost three years now...) might get some of it too and report back to you. I just found some Damiana in my city, I'll buy it tomorrow or on Wednesday and tell you how it was (smoking and tea). -

That is exactly our dilemma. In Germany we used to say "Solidarität ist keine Einbahnstraße" ("solidarity isn't a one way street"). People who were (and still are) unwilling to get vaccinated didn't show solidarity. Infection rates are higher than ever. Everybody got and still gets their chance to take the shot, if you didn't want it - well, that's unfortunately not only on you. It's on all of us. Yes, it splits the population but maybe this is necessary for the greater good and for allowing us to unite again after this shit is over. It's a great crisis and this might be part of the cost of defeating it. -

@Someone here Then what is your question? -
Tim R replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Why make it so complicated? -

One process doesn't start another process. Where is the separation which would imply "one process" "causing" "another process"? Have you ever seen "two processes"? Sit by the river, look for causation. Listen to sound, try to hear their cause. Creation is now, spontaneous and without cause. "Cause" is an illusion born of memory. -
Tim R replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yup. Being is causeless, because the cause would be. What do you mean? It's a concept. -
